Tú Magazine Interviews Kristen Stewart: “It Will Be Hard When I Say My Last Words As Bella”
Our meeting was amazing! She has a striking personality. Despite being so petite, as soon as she walked into the Benedict Room at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, the place lit up!
The girl doesn’t want to be a simple star caught up in the glamour and the paparazzi. She’s an actress that leaves a mark because of her work. Her attitude and casual way of dressing do not overshadow her, because as much as she doesn’t want to be special, she is! She’s naturally beautiful, discrete, but at the same time very impatient.
Dressed in white and black t-shirts (layered) with a black sweater and jeans, she greeted us without stopping one second from squirming in her chair and fixing her hair up on a pony tail, brushing it back with her hand, playing with it from one side to the other…They say Eclipse is a darker movie, is it true?
Probably because of director David Slade, because his concept is more mature and scarier. A little bit like New Moon, but things get more complicated as far as the dynamic between the characters and their relationship with each other. And of course there’s the whole situation of vampires and werewolves trying to protect me.
Do you find the vampire world appealing?
We all find appealing the fact that vampires live forever and never age. Personally, there’s nothing in particular in vampires that appeals to me, but I love the way they are in Twilight.
What matters the most to you?
Acting, playing different characters and working with people that have more experience than me so that I can keep learning.How much has your life changed beause of the fame?
Success has made my life a little easier, I’ve managed to get amazing things. Now people ask me “what’s next? what project are you choosing?”. It’s a privilege having the opportunity to have those questions, even if it’s hard to answer them sometimes. I owe it to Twilight. Fame looks more spectacular from the outside than it does from the inside.
Fans complain that you don’t tweet, what is your relationship with social networks?
I can’t be online because, I have to be online! I’d love to please the fans because of the way they support us, but time is not enough. It wouldn’t be enough the ammount of time I spent online with them.
Music means a lot to you. Does it inspire you when you’re on the set filming a movie?
Definitely it’s one of the most sensitive elements I have, and it’s very satisfying to work and listen to my favorite songs. This new soundtrack is amazing.

In Twilight we got to see some sexual tension between Bella and Edward. That’s something very enigmatic. Will that continue in the rest of the movies?
I don’t think there was sexual tension, nor do I think that that’s the focus of the movies. I don’t see it that way. I think it’s a story about what it means to commit to a feeling and to the person that you love. Above all, it’s about finding someone to love despite having to fight so many problems that might show up. What hooks you about the movie, I’m convinced about it, is that it talks about the fear of what can happen to you if you fall in love and give yourself away completely. Realizing how far you can go for love, passion and being amazed by it. People identify with it more than you can imagine. To me it’s not even a story about vampires, but about feelings that we’ve all felt before. It talks about the fear of feeling those things. It’s a movie with so many meanings, that’s why I like it and I think that’s why people like it too.
Tell about how you can’t expect what’s going to happen when you go out.
Yes, it’s something I’m still taking in. I’m plain, I like normal things. But now there’s rumors about the places I like to visit, and I can’t go to those places anymore. One time I tried. I wanted to celebrate my birthday on the same place I always go to, and it was a total failure, There was so many people, I couldn’t have a good time. From that point on, I try to avoid places where I can be seen and become the object of paparazzi and curious people. I also avoid the hip, famous places where people think I might be at. I’ve changed them for darker places, those dodgy places where there’s good food and music. It’s sounds crazy, but I’ve had to develop strategies to go out with my friends and have a normal life. It’s the dark side of fame. But I don’t complain. I just assume that I have to deal with it now. Not everything can be perfect. I have so much already, having the opportunity of living from acting. It would be unfair to say that I’m unlucky.
There are actors who would die to be in your shoes. Would you say that it’s a double life? The one that you live in front of the cameras, in red carpets and the one you live intimately?
Yes. In the end you have your real life and the one they make up in interviews, not caring if what they’re saying is true or false. What’s true is that I’m too normal and I give them no material to write, so I’m an easy prey for make up stories. I should go wild and do crazy things so they have something to write about. My flaw for those tabloids is that I’m too calm and quiet (laughs).
And in those moments of intimacy and privacy, is it true hat you like to play the guitar? What do you do when you’re by yourself?
I do play the guitar. I have friends in Vancouver and I get together with them to play the guitar, listen to music. We spend the nights singing and swapping stories. I also do that when I’m at hotels. It’s relaxing. Music is my other passion. I hope I never leave it.
Speaking of passion and music, we know you write songs. What can you share about it?
I’m trying to write some songs for the next movie. I don’t know if it will be possible because of my schedule, but I want to do it. Music is the other side of me, it’s one of the things that complete me and I wouldn’t want to leave it aside for anything in the world. I have the intention of evolving in that aspect. It’s something I want to develop just as much as acting. I want to have a balance between those two things.
What other artistic endeavors are you interested in?
I always wanted to be a pianist and live in the south of France (laughs). But I’ve learned that it’s not important how you do things, but the final outcome. In life you always end up doing what you like. And nothing completes you more than that.

We called Robert Pattinson on the set of ‘New Moon’ in Vancouver, Canada. He told us over the phone that he’s living some months of peace and calm after the months of hysteria surrounding the release of ‘Twilight’.
It was so insane, that he even noticed some changed in the people around him: “I’ve noticed that the way people look at me has changed a bit, even my family. It’s a bit weird. But I think things will go back to normal soon.
What many people don’t know is that he was in Barcelona filming ‘Little Ashes’ before ‘Twilight’ came out, almost completely unnoticed. “I wasn’t completely unnoticed. it’s funny because a lot of people came up to me because they recognized me from the Harry Potter movies”.
The actor spent two months filming in: Barcelona, Sant Pere de Ribes, Caldes de Montbui, Granada and Cadaqués. Like he could that now. Complete insanity.
The Vancouver Sun has reported that Robert & Kristen we’re spotted filming at Port Moody in British Columbia yesterday afternoon.
They were filming behind the Port Moody’s Art Centre. It looks like a house rather than an Arts Centre.

True Blood‘s Vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) told EOnline that Twilight and True Blood can co-exist.
He told E! Online that they don’t need to compete saying: “I think they serve a certain audience and we serve a certain demographic so we can all exist happily together.” Both Twilight and True Blood are about vampires and are adapted from popular novels. However the TV show is even darker than the films and shows more extreme scenes.

It seems that the Cullens (ie Alice and Edward), Bella, the Volturis are all set in Montepulciano to start the Volterra shoots. The cast & crew met up yesterday and had a sumptous Italian lunch. Check a whole gallery of pictures at Radaronline and MrPattinson.com.
And it seems that the cast had also gone for a tour of the set as well. Most probably for a final rehearsal and eventually filming this next few days. Radaronline has some behind the scenes photos with Chris Weitz showing Kristen the filming site.
We’ve also found an account by an extra in Montepulciano set on Twilight Italia and through RobPattzNews on Twitter a full translation by The Examiner.
…The tests of the Porsche were seemingly never-ending, they really wanted it to be perfect. They did not overlook even the smallest detail: everything -from the placement of the car to all the car sounds- had to be just right. They even were overly careful with all the red flags placed around Montepulciano. The crew was sweaty and shouting us to get in our places, to which we obliged. Bill (Weitz’s assistant) was always calm and smiling, every once in a while stopping to talk to us on set….
…..The most exciting part of the experience was meeting all the other Twilight fans. We all, no matter how small our roles were, wanted to make the sequel the best it could be. And it was all for our love of the saga. I met a bunch of girls who were from some of the poorest parts in Italy, and all came so they could have a chance to be in this movie. To all the Twilighters who traveled from far away to be here, you all deserve a round of applause….

..Tell us about the baseball scene. We’re told you were not very good at it.
Who told you that?! I suck at baseball. For some reason, Catherine wanted me to be like a pro, and I thought, Why? Edward is a vampire, why would he have to play baseball perfectly? I never understood it, and I always questioned it. He doesn’t need to want to play, know the rules or need a bat, but Catherine said this scene was more about representing the union of a team, the union of a little community ready to defend and support each other. But yeah, I’m terrible at it. Don’t be surprised if one day you see people dressed as vampires playing baseball (laughs) that would be weird. That what be weird. But for me that was the hardest scene to shoot.Catherine seems to be one of the most human directors out there.
Definitely. Eventhough I did argue with her over certain scenes, most of the times I agreed with her. There’s even some thing about the way she directs that are so new to me, that I couldn’t disagree with them. For instance, in the script or in the way we would structure a scene. The point is that when you’re an actor you should merge your suggestions with the original ideas, and realizing who your director is, otherwise the job becomes stressful and it’s horrible arguing against everything.Are you looking forward to New Moon?
Definitely. I filmed Twilight not thinking it would become a trilogy, so if the first movie captured people, the sequel will immortalize the characters and their stories.

New Moon break up scene showned at Cannes? Read this fan report of a cocktail party for New Moon (via Twilight Poison).
Last night I went to a cocktail party for New Moon, the next film in the Twilight series. We got to see never-before-seen footage from the film and it looks good so far. Still heart-tugging. But most importantly, I fulfilled many a young girl’s dream to stand next to Robert Pattinson and share a joke with him.
“The clip was a part where Bella (Kristen Stewart’s character) was talking to Edward (Robert’s character) and he was telling her to leave and trying to convince her that he didn’t want her around. It was a short clip and I don’t know what happened before or after, but Robert said he’s not in this movie as much as the first one. Also, he hadn’t even seen the clip, and watched it biting his nails…sweet!”

The first New Moon poster will be revealed tomorrow. According to Larry Carroll from MTV:

Of course, if the whole “newspaper” concept is giving you a headache – or if you’re a shut in – there’s no need to fear. The “New Moon” poster will be online at 7am EST on finer websites everywhere, including ours.

Um, no, I – I think the first thing I said was uh – one of the first things I said was ‘I’m sorry’ because I felt like Carlisle knew – I mean he was the first person that he was actually changing, and he knew the life that he was – it was a catch 22 because he was saving his life but you know it was a very difficult (unclear) thing for him to do. He wasn’t sure if it was the right thing for him to do and he wasn’t sure he was making the right choice. And then I think the second take I said something like, uhh, ‘You’re being reborn, my son,’ and I was claiming him as my son. And then by the fifth take I said ‘You’re sexy,’ or something. (Unclear over the applause). I hope this (unclear) is as good for you as it is for me. (Lots of unclearness to me). ‘Cause as we got into the takes (unclear) getting bored with the first couple. So my friends and I were walking on Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver for my birthday dinner. My friends were walking ahead of me and I trailed behind in pain from walking in heels. It wasn’t the most preposterous of ideas — Pattinson appeared alongside Radcliffe in two of the “Harry Potter” movies. But Pugh told Variety that won’t happen. He has, however, confirmed that he and Pattinson will be working together on a theater project in 2010. More than that he won’t say.

Kristen: I like Edward he’s a very interesting character. On the outside he seems very confident, handsome. He’s the ideal man everybody wants. But he’s all alone. All the girls want him because they think he’s perfect, but he’s not.
