New Moon News (Fansite Fridays Part Deux)
Its the day for the second installment of Fansite Fridays!! Check out the recording of the interview at Twilighters Anonymous and read the interview transcribe by Kimmy of HisGoldenEyes.
He talked so enthusiastically about the film that we can’t help to think that The Twilight Saga are in good hands. 
Haha if you listen closely at some point you can hear the cast and the crew on background as this interview was done during filming. He talks mostly about the Twilight and New Moon film shoot. He also mentioned of them thinking about the scenes in Breaking Dawn will be done. Thank you guys!!
…. Kristen is so amazingly ‘on it’, in terms of what Bella would say and what she would do. Like we will be in a scene, and she will be like, “No, Bella wouldn’t do that, she would do this.” And you’re like, she’s right! She’s got it. She’s so amazing in this film. I mean, the levels that she lets herself go to, in terms of being torn apart. We were talking to Jillian and Aaron from the studio, and they’re all watching the dailies, like, “We are going to have to hand out boxes of Kleenex!” Like every time you watch a scene, you’re like, “that was even more emotional than the last scene!” I mean you’ve got Edward breaking up with Bella, and you’ve got Jacob in the rain when she shows up and he hasn’t returned her calls, it’s the most heartbreaking scene, it’s amazing. Then, the final scene of the movie, we shot her saying goodbye to Jacob, it’s just great.
…. Q: Is there anything you learned from ‘Twilight’ that you said, “We are definitely going to change this for ‘New Moon’”?
I think the one thing that we thought of when we saw Twilight was that if we can still pull off the emotions of that, but also expand it visually. That was one thing, we really thought the film could be opened up visually and show us the Pacific Northwest. There were little snippets in Twilight, but we thought the views are so great anyway lets make every shot like that. I think that will be eye opening for people. I think the vampire movement, we really wanted to do something different and make people think, “Okay, that’s how I imagined it in the books. Bella can barely…can’t see them they are moving so fast.” So we really tried to tackle that from a visual standpoint. That they are speeding through in a way that is so fast you really can’t catch them.
…. Well, last year, for Twilight, we shot all the school scenes while they were all on vacation. Yeah, so the interiors, all the interiors, were on their spring break. Right? So this time for all of our school stuff we had to shoot it while Jessica, the actress playing Jessica, was available. There were a lot of scheduling problems. So the only time we could shoot it was when school was in session. So basically we were trying to shoot these scenes while the kids were literally in between classes, screaming bloody murder because every time they see a glimpse of Rob they just go crazy. It was chaos. It’s like, never again will I ever shoot during school.
It was ridiculous, with this franchise, the idea of trying to trot Rob Pattinson down the hallways where like girls will come out of the bathroom, just by accident when class is in session. We thought when they are in class we are fine, we can go up and down the halls; they’re all in class. But every now and then you would get someone who would walk out into the hallway, and go “AHHHH!!!”
…. Well, it’s interesting, there will definitely be more sunlight in this movie than in Twilight. There are less vampires! Well actually we thought that in the breakup scene, you know when Edward is like “My family and I are leaving, and Carlisle is getting ten years older than he should be and people are starting to notice.” We were thinking we should just put in, “The farmers almanac says it’s going to be more sunny this year so we gotta go!” Or Alice said so! [Laughs]
… Q: So did you like ‘Breaking Dawn’?
I loved it. I mean for me, it’s mature in a way that speaks. You know, to someone my age, really. Gosh, I mean I have three kids, you totally understand the next level of Bella’s life is going to be the adult life. What was so daring about Breaking Dawn, and so brilliant about it, she didn’t pander to what she thought her audience was. She said, this is what’s right for Bella and Edward, and this is where their story needs to go. I really loved that about it. Certainly there are things that are shocking that are like, I never thought it would go that way. That’s good! I mean, that’s what makes for good drama. So I love it.
I don’t know how we are going to do it! [Laughs]

new moon news – fansite fridays!!!
The following 6 fansites Twilight Lexicon, His Golden Eyes, Twilight Moms, Twilight Series Theories, Twilighters Anonymous and Twilight Source were especially invited to the The Twilight Saga: New Moon movie set in April. So over the next FIVE Fridays, these awesome Twilight fansites will give us reports of their visit to the New Moon film set and reveal insights as well as interviews with the cast.
For the 1st Fansite Friday they’ve all given us an overview of their visit :
8:48 pm – We meet up with Rachael, the on set publicist, who hands out the press passes to all of us and officially welcomes us to the set. Then we make our way down the road to where all the action is going on.The set is a mock up replica of the house used as the Swan residence in Portland. For those of you worried about continuity from one film to the next, trust me, the production crew is all over that. We learned that the house was constructed in a warehouse and shipped piece by piece to this location where it was set up. It is 100% identical to the house used in Twilight right down to the placement of the overly large trees marking the path to the house as well as the little house across the street. We can see that there are lights and furniture and decorations in the house, but we are told that they are there to create the illusion that this is a real house. All the scenes filmed “inside”the house will be done on a sound stage. This set is for exterior only.We are assigned position by a monitor that we are told was specifically set up just so that we can see what is being filmed. Unfortunately, the monitor had no sound. Ah well. Eventually it became pretty clear what was being said. Rachael tells us that she is going to bring Chris Weitz over to us and hopes to be able to bring Taylor and a few of the actors to talk to us.
8:53 pm – True to her word, Rachael introduces us to Chris Weitz and we all begin recording what became a whopping TWENTY-SIX minute interview. No joke, people. He was so so so great and just freely answered our questions in the most generous approach imaginable. I’m not going to spoil you with the content of that interview as I think it’s best taken from the man himself, but let me assure you that if you are still worried about the change in directors, your fears will be put to rest.
… At this point, we were all standing in the middle of the road, and someone told us we had to go over to the side since cars were coming. We all went over and stood and watched the cars come through, and then who is it that comes out of them? Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner! Taylor was wearing a jean jacket, jeans, and a green shirt, and his Jacob wig! Looks a zillion times better than it did in Twilight, let me tell you. Kristen was wearing the sam tan coat she was wearing in Twilight. She seems so much smaller in person, and the jacket made her look even smaller. She looked like she was in total Bella mode, it made me excited to see them start to film. It seems like the main actors in a movie arrive only RIGHT before they start filming, since Kristen and Taylor went straight from their cars to the set to start working.
Then, filming began! This meant that in little chunks we would have to stop and wait for them to film a take, and we would continue talking. One time Chris Weitz accidently called “cut!”before the scene was actually done, and all the crew on set laughed. Another time, a plane flew over the set causing us to have to wait for the plane to be far enough away to not interfere with the sound of the scene. Wyck Godfrey, one of the producers, came over and talked to us as well. He was so nice to us and even when they were rehearsing a scene would whisper us stories, he seemed like he was having such a good time! …
… If you diehards haven’t guessed by now from all the clues above, the scene we witnessed went something like this: Charlie Swan’s beloved daughter Bella has been missing for hours. Being the chief of police, Charlie has rounded up a search party to find his daughter and they are all now huddled around the hood of his police cruiser. Charlie wipes his brow and looks stressed as those in the search party (which includes Billy, Jacob, Harry, and a few other unnamed characters) converse with one another and look at several different sheets of papers laid out on the car’s hood. Suddenly, something catches Jacob’s eye. “Charlie…” Jacob warns slowly as he taps Chief Swan on the shoulder. “Bella!” Charlie shouts with a mixture of worry and relief as he turns to see his daughter being carried out of the woods, seemingly unconscious, by Sam Uley. Charlie sprints to meet them and grabs Bella out of Sam’s arms and places her into the comfort of his own. …
… Next, Taylor Lautner paid us a visit. Taylor is always thrilled to meet fans of the series and never disappoints. He was all smiles and was more than happy to answer anything we asked him. His wig looked so much better this time around. It flowed a lot more freely and suited his face really well. Right after Taylor left, we got a surprise visit from Kristen Stewart. She didn’t have much time before she was called on set, but she wanted to make it apparent that she was very glad that she could meet us and have us on set with her that night. She also apologized for the somber mood she was in to keep with the scene they were filming. She told us that the happier scenes were ones that they referred to as “Jacob Days.” …

The idea is to look sexy, not man-eater-y, so try smokybrown eyes like Ashley Greene, 22 (Alice, Edward’s future-seeing sister), has here. We asked her if the nonstop cast-hookup rumors were true; she won’t confirm or deny, but admits that there’s a lot of heat on set. “I’m glad I don’t have a boy-friend. It’d be hard to tell him, ‘I have a crush on Jackson Rathbone!’”
Go for Killer Eyes
It’s something Noot Seear, 26, got to do in her role as Heidi, a siren who lures prey to her lair to “dine.” Thing is, the contacts the cast wore (shades of violet, amber or red, based on their mood) made them nearly blind at times: “I had to learn to wear them—not a beauty tip I’d recommend!”

Larry Carroll of MTV talked to Kristen & Taylor at Comic Con and how Edward just ‘had to appear’ in New Moon.
As the stars sped around from one event to the next, “New Moon” actors Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were the queen and king of the festivities — and when we caught up with them for an exclusive interview, they were eager to talk about their playful relationship and living in the shadow of Edward Cullen.
“We needed to put a little bit more Rob in the movie — for whatever reason,” Stewart laughed, referring to her breakout co-star Robert Pattinson and the decision to insert him throughout the film in a series of “hallucination sequences”.”

Lee Safar is an Australian singer who has TWO songs under consideration for the New Moon Soundtrack: “I’m Here” and “Take Me Away”. MTV has an exclusive interview with the great singer who is also massive Twilight fan.
How I came to find “Twilight” is a beautiful memory for me. Stu Henshall, a recent PR grad, and I had a chance meeting in London early this year. I gave him a copy of my debut EP “Who I’ve Become” to listen to. He went into his room and woke up the next morning, after having listened to my CD obsessively all night, he said, “I’m going to take you to see something today. Have you seen ‘Twilight’?” I told him that I hadn’t even heard of it but was intrigued. We went that day and saw the movie and I was immediately obsessed.
…I’ve read the series twice and would go for a third if my schedule allowed it. My favorite book is “Breaking Dawn.”

New Moon News
Here’s our first report from Comic Con 2009 San Diego. This time around there’s only 5 of the in the panel : Chris Weitz, Kristin Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Ashley Green which literally are the main characters in New Moon. Unfortunately though, the Volturis have not been included. Nonetheless, two clips were revealed and from the reports we’ve read : they were amazing!! Did we expect anything else?
The Comic Con organisers pleaded with the fans not to film footage of the clips.

2:02 p.m. – Oh my God. They’re here!
Director Chris Weitz anyway.
Ashley Greene (Alice), Kristen Stewart (Bella), Taylor Lautner (Jacob) and yes, Edward Cullen himself, Rob Pattinson arrive. Oddly enough, the screaming is at a minimum. My ears are intact.
Ashley – It’s her first time here, so it’s been “incredible.”
To the screams of “Take your shirt off!” Taylor answers about transforming: “He changes mentally and emotionally … the hardest part was physically. I worked really hard to transform his body … I hope you guys are pleased when you see the results.”
Not a lot of fans are digging Kristen Stewart’s Joan Jett hair. Yeah, let’s move on to Rob. His hair’s great.
He’s smiling and charming (of course) answering something about special effects. But wait, they’re saying they brought something for us here? Could it be a new scene? A trailer? A pony?
Ah, it’s clip! And yes, TAYLOR LAUTNER TAKES HIS SHIRT OFF in it.
Whew. Excuse me as I cool myself off with a soda. The temperature in this room has ridden to global warming levels. Oh, and get my hearing back.
Okay, here’s a rundown of the clip: It’s the scene where Jacob teaches Bella to ride a motorcycle. Of course, ghostly Edward (as the voice in her head) makes some pale-faced appearances as she rides. After she crashes and gets all bloody, that’s when the magic happens: Jacob plays nurse and rips –okay, not really — takes his shirt off showing off a six-pack plus magnum abs. I couldn’t hear any dialog after that. …….
Director Weitz says there’s one more scene where Alice and Bella are rushing …one moment while I watch.

I kid you not. The “New Moon” folks found a way to give us both shirtless Taylor AND shirtless Rob. Can we die happy now?
Clip #2: At the end of “New Moon,” Bella and Alice are riding in a sweet yellow Porsche (that’s what it was, right?) in Italy, rushing to stop Edward from revealing himself in the light of day so that the Volturi will get angry and kill him (since he believes Bella is dead, he’s sacrificing himself).
Kristen, looking properly Bella in the clip gets out of the car and runs through a bunch of red hooded and cloaked people to the area where a slow motion-moving Edward appears in a black buttoned-down shirt, which he’s oh-so-slowly unbuttoning. Bella is running like a madwoman to get to him on time, and bit by bit, we see more of his pale white torso, revealing that he too has a nice set of abs for your laundry needs.
Just as he gets to the last button and is about to shrug out of his shirt, the clip cuts to the movie logo. Denied!!!
That’s all folks. I wouldn’t be surprised if those two clips will be made available soon. Keep an eye out for it!

MTV chit-chats with Jackson Rathbone about producing and starring his new movie ‘Girlfriend’!
In another article(On 100 Monkeys’ appearance in NM soundtrack), ‘Singapore’ was mentioned:
Rathbone doesn’t let his music get in the way of his acting, though. “Whenever I’m working on the ‘Twilight’ movies, I work all day on the film and then I go and rehearse with my band at night,” said the Singapore-born actor.

We understand that you have done a lot of stunt work in the past. What is the coolest/most challenging stunt you have ever done, and did you enjoy your stunt work in New Moon?
I have been fortunate enough to do a lot of stunt work which has been a lot of fun and helped a lot with the fight scene on New Moon. I think the coolest stunt so far is this fight scene. It’s great to be the actor and getting to do all the fight choreography helps with the performance and really makes me feel a part of this character. I can’t wait for people to see it, JJ Makaro and his team put together a really cool fight and Simon Burnett (Rob Pattinson’s double) did such a great job.

All the world it reporting about the accident that happened yesterday even on Channel 5 Singapore. Just be rest assured that Mr. Pattinson is alright and has continued shooting his new movie ‘Remember Me’ in New York. Twilight Lexicon has reported that Summit has given the official word on this incident.
“Rob Pattinson is fine, the reports are exaggerated and it was not caused by fans. Production continues ,” according to a Summit spokesperson.
AccessHollywood asked Ashley Greene about the ‘taxi incident’ and she mentioned “They’re crazy!!” Not sure if she’s referring to the papparazis or the fans.

9am in Singapore will see most of us in our BMWs heading for work or school ( BMWs = Buses, MRT and err ..Walking ) And we can only get glimpses of the MTV Movie Award results off google or news alerts on the computer or PDAs, that is, IF we can sneak off and get into the net.

What was the audition process like for you?
In terms of time spent on researching backgrounds and story, I don’t think there’s been an audition I worked harder for than New Moon. I did a lot of work, but I understood the stakes of getting such a role.
The scene was the bell tower approach immediately post-Bella saving Edward. The first audition was simple, over very quickly and I was called back in days later.
Wyck Godfrey[the producer] and Chris Weisz were in attendance at the call back. Chris and I had a small chin-wag about how great England was so I felt grounded before I started. Diffusion of tension: Crucial. I brought myself into the character much more this time around. What came out was good: charm, control, threat. It felt good.
I was then hauled back in to read for Marcus a few days later, but truth be told I always wanted Demetri. FYI, Chris Heyerdahl is an excellent excellent choice for Marcus; his voice is captivating.
10 days later….
“Charlie, you booked Demetri”… cue delirium.

‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson Sighted In The Vicinity Of Director Peter Berg, from MTV:
That said, Perez Hilton reported that the actor was spotted leaving the Los Angeles home of director Peter Berg yesterday while on a break from the ongoing “New Moon” shoot. Berg and Pattinson may very well just be friends, but this fanboy is hoping that the two met to discuss the actor’s possible involvement in Berg’s upcoming “Dune” remake.

A fan by the name of Stephanie posted this photograph on her Twitter account. It is of her wrist, tattooed with the signature of Robert Pattinson. While it is not unheard of, or completely extraordinary to have signatures or insignia tattooed on one’s body (I’ve seen the likes of Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon autographed into the skin of die-hard fans, and even the Earth symbol from Dan Brown’s book Angels & Demons etched into someone’s arm), but is this taking fandom of Pattinson too far, or is the decision completely ordinary?

*GASPS* Woman finds ‘Twilight’ sequel script in trash, from The Associated Press:
A St. Louis beauty salon owner accidentally happened upon one of the hottest Hollywood scripts — the pages from an upcoming “Twilight” sequel — in a trash bin.
Casey Ray found two scripts, one for the vampire sequel “New Moon” and one for a different movie titled “Memoirs.” She decided to return them to the studio making the films. In return, she was invited to attend the movies’ premieres, her lawyer said.
Ray recently was waiting for her fiance to finish work when she spotted two scripts in a trash container. She was outside a hotel where actors were staying during a St. Louis shoot for the upcoming George Clooney movie, “Up in the Air.”
It’s not clear how the scripts wound up in the bin.

“Someone started yelling at me because they didn’t like my character,” Meraz told us last night at a Carrera Vintage Sunglasses party at the Chateau Marmont hotel.
“I play a bad boy, so she got mad at me,” he added. ”She said, ‘I hate you, Paul!’ That was the craziest thing for me—being confused for a character.”

It was so fast I didn’t believe he was there! but then one second later, he came right back and gave Ade a hug, his BEAR HUG! love it! and they took a picture. I was next! he gave me the biggest hug!! another bear hug, took me off the ground hug! I didn’t let go, I wanted a picture also, but like I said I didn’t let go forgetting the camera was in my hand the whole time. But then we let go, I handed Ade the camera, and she snapped one and then he smiled thanking us for being there and left. They were being rushed by some people, the twilighters were waiting to see them! Can we get any luckier? They are the best!

Twilight Lexicon posted their Vancouver set visit update:
Alphie and Pel (Lori and Laura) had a fabulous time in Vancouver. A full detailed set report will be out in a few weeks. We have video, audio (the audio is to die for), photos, you name it. It was fabulous!
We can’t really say much more at the moment because we have to wait for an official release date OK from Summit, plus we have a lot of editing to do (did we mention the to die for audio). Summit isn’t being mean or anything, it’s what is known in the industry as an embargo. It’s very standard and this type of relase date in the future thing is imposed on full-time professional journalists on press junkets all the time.

Do you know that Cameron Bright was dragged to see Twilight? Cameron Bright, as we all know, will be our Alec in New Moon.

Bright, 16, hasn’t even started filming his scenes as Alec — part of the Volturi vampire clan and twin brother of Jane (Dakota Fanning) in the Twilight sequel New Moon — yet he has been affected by Twilight mania since the day he was cast.
“It’s going to be kind of weird,” admits the Nanaimo actor who confesses he had to be dragged to see Twilight, the first in a series of movies based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular romantic teenage vampire novels.
“All the guys were saying, ‘It’s a chick movie,’ but it was really good,” Bright recalls. “I’m glad to be a part of it.”

Twillight Gossip has pictures of Bella’s House, Bella’s Truck, Dirt Bike and Charlie’s Cruiser:
I was able to get a few nice pictures/video of Bella’s truck, motorcycles, cruiser and the house. I was also lucky enough to take a picture with Rachelle. (But I won’t be posting that image). I must say, Rachelle is a very sweet girl. Even though she was exhausted from her day, she still took a minute to say hello and take a few pictures.
Anyhow getting back to the more “important stuff”, they have moved Charlie’s cruiser over to the set with all of the other vehicles. I wonder why they have 2 of each vehicle and not for the cruiser….maybe one for the stunt double…who knows.
You’ve heard in our previous post that Twilight Lexicon is in Vancouver. Kimmy, from His Golden Eyes, will be flying to Vancouver too!
I (Kimmy) am leaving to go to Vancouver today! I was invited by Summit, but I don’t really have any idea what is in store for me or what I will be able to get for you guys. I will bring you updates as soon as I am allowed to.

This is great cos they were invited last year to the Twilight Set and had exclusive interviews and behind the scenes coverage of the filming! We can’t wait cos they did such an awesome job covering everything for us the fans. So we are sure they are doing the same fabulous job with New Moon!
Alphie and Pel are in Vancouver and Alphie will be on set tomorrow!! Right now we don’t know who or what we will see but we hope to bring you updates as soon as we are allowed. While you are waiting for the updates here is a question for you to ponder: If you could ask one of the actors any question what would it be?

The Courier Mail did an interview with Stephenie Meyer about the process of book-to-screen for her Twilight.
Seeing her characters brought to life on the big screen for the first time – Robert Pattinson playing Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan – was a surreal experience for Meyer.
“But really, that happened too when I had a chance to visit the film set,” she says.
“That was when that really hit me. I was sitting there at dinner the first night. Everyone came in costume, because they’d just done a photo shoot. I was like, ‘Wait a minute, these are imaginary people and here they are’ – very weird.”

Heidi is described in Stephenie Meyer‘s novel as a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She has “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty, which includes stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.

Later, as the Twilighters chanted down the minutes to midnight as if it were New Year’s Eve, Ashley appeared. They went nuts. She ducked inside the Hot Topic, jumped behind the counter, and started greeting the fans as they picked up their DVD. There were lots of hugs, shrieks, and tears of joy – but enough about me.

After a Salt Lake City radio station announced that a Twilight star was going to be at Wallmart the entire town pretty much abandoned where they were going to get their DVD’s and they headed over to Wallmart. Our Salt Lake City team was prescheduled to lead the fun and games at a Borders across town. So they lead the games, got their DVD’s at Borders and then headed across town to Wallmart where they met Rachelle where Rachelle gave the Lex a shout out and Nena cullen who shot the vid got a surprise hug.

The Twilight Moms attended the Director’s Notebook Signing as well and listen to what Catherine had to say when asked about Edward’s journals in the movie.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke remembers the exact moment she decided to say no to New Moon.
“I was in Paris with Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] at dinner and talking to them and it was like, ‘Is this really the schedule? Would we really be starting 10 and a half weeks from now?’ ” Hardwicke told me yesterday in Santa Monica at the launch event for her new book, Twilight: Director’s Notebook. “Yes, we would, for various reasons which I respect, but I really thought it would be better for somebody else, who hadn’t just been working every day for two years without a day off.”
