- Jacob’s Black Body: Photos of Taylor Lautner‘s amazing transformation from a scrawny kid to a rippling teen werewolf already have been making the rounds for months. But the first time Lautner rips off his T-shirt to reveal his muscled chest onscreen, the sight is still gasp-worthy. In fact, Lautner sizzles and smolders throughout New Moon as he walks the line between friendship and romance with Bella (Kristen Stewart). Though Bella’s heart belongs to Edward (Robert Pattinson), Launter may steal Pattinson’s heartthrob status right out from under his pale nose.
- Bella & Edward’s Reunion: When Edward comes to the (incorrect) conclusion that his love, Bella, is dead, he decides there is no choice but to commit vampire suicide. Of course, the only person who can save him is Bella. When she launches herself through a crowd and across a fountain in an Italian square to push Edward out of harm’s way, the sparks that fly between the soul-mates are like fireworks.
- The Wolf Pack: The actors who play Jacob Black’s gang of strapping pals provide the perfect mix of teen tension and ferocious loyalty that exist between the group of guys who realize that one and all are actually werewolves. They snarl and yelp, tease and torment each other, and of course, fight together just like Twilight Saga author Stephanie Meyer describes in her series.
- Dakota Fanning: She plays the pint-sized vamp, Jane, who wields a daunting power – simply by concentrating she can cause her victims to convulse in excruciating pain. She’s not in the movie for very long, but when she focuses those red eyes on her targets and softly whispers, “Pain,” everyone will squirm.
- The Sense of Humour: While the Twilight series is based overwrought teenage angst, director Chris Weitz lightens the mood with some well-placed humor. Bella’s human school friends provide comic relief. When one of them has to leave a horror movie because he’s ill, Launter’s character laughs and says, “What a marshmallow.” And when a member of the wolf pack accidentally changes from human to werewolf right in front of Bella, another member quips, “Well, I guess the wolf is out of the bag.”

New Moon News – Chris Weitz Wants To Make You Cry!
Chris Weitz wants to make you cry big time watching New Moon!! Looks like the New Moon director worked really hard on the ‘romance part’ of the story which we missed in Twilight cos it happened just so fast!
“We’ve tried our best to deliver on the romantic scenes in the film, and I would like to be able to produce more tears than any movie before, if possible,” Weitz told PEOPLE at the Hollywood Film Festival’s Hollywood Awards Monday of capturing moments in the Twilight saga’s love triangle. “If we could only weigh them with some kind of cubic tear measure!”
He adds, the intense level of attention – including speculation about cast members’ love lives – was challenging for everyone. “To be honest, even making the movie is under a tremendous amount of scrutiny now, so that when the cast went back to Vancouver there were cameras
everywhere,” he said. “Everyone knows where every set is going to be. It goes with the Internet and all the information is out there all the time, and whenever one of them is spotted it’s immediately Twittered.”
..Nevetheless, Weitz thinks the New Moon stars are gracefully dealing with the attention. “I think that they handle it very well really. They’re smart kids – I can say that because I’m 40 – and they’ve got good heads on their shoulders. So they’ll be all right.”

Rachelle LeFevre spoke to People magazine about how Twilight opened doors for her and said very nice things about Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart. 
“If you can weather the fire and come out on the other side and you’re still recognizable to everybody who knew you before, I think that’s indicative of a larger grace,”
Its a whole 2 months before The Twilight Saga: New Moon opens across USA but ticket sales have been doing very, VERY WELL it seems! The LA Times has this report:
Online ticket sellers MovieTickets and Fandango report that the follow-up to last year’s hit from Summit Entertainment, which sold $191.5 million worth of tickets in the U.S. and Canada, is selling out screenings earlier than any other movie to date.
“New Moon” has sold out 50 showtimes of nearly 22,000 offered on Fandango and 13 showtimes of 2,912 offered on MovieTickets. Most of the sold-out shows are at or around midnight Nov. 20, when the movie debuts.
More news on the New Moon Soundtrack on MTV and how its shaping up. So Death Cab For Cutie, The Used, Bon Iver and Thom Yorke (Radiohead) are in.
“There is a lot of love lost, so the artists that are going to make up the soundtrack reflect that longing — a lot of acoustic instruments, a lot of a cappella singing.”
I’m so glad there is a snap shot of my absolute favorite shot from the entire trailer, the one of Bella’s vision of Edward after her cliff jump. She reaches out to him as he floats in the water next to her, and as she is pulled away from him by Jacob, she touches his face, distorting the image. It is so sad and so beautiful, and shows the leaps and bounds “New Moon” has come from “Twilight.”

Two New Moon extras share their experience with MTV.com about filming on set together with Robert & Kristen in Italy.
“One morning we’re sitting by the piazza. We’re having coffee at 6:30 in the morning and the casting director comes over and he says, ‘Hey! Do you guys want to be in the movie?’” recalled Vanessa. “That was it. We went [and] we put our red capes on and we worked until 8pm.”….
“All the action is happening behind us with Edward and Bella running and everybody is supposed to be looking toward the church and we have our hoods and we’re all like this [looks backward] trying to sneak a peek at Edward and look at his abs” she said. “And the Italian director is screaming at us … and he’s screaming ‘Guardare la chiesa!’ — ‘Look at the church! Look at the church!’”…
“They also filmed two scenes with the Porsche: one with the Porsche driving up the street and coming to a screeching halt basically in front of us… and then one of the last scenes we did was with the Porsche… on one of those trucks with the cameras in front of it.”
The ladies were privy to one of the tricks of the trade when they witnessed the compact car on a fast-moving flatbed truck to give the appearance that the Porsche was speeding down the cobble stone street. In actuality, it was the truck, not the car, that was the real safety hazard.

Previously, we posted the Volturi scan from People’s Magazine. However, over at their website, they featured HQ photos and a brief article about the Volturi:
“They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” Weitz tells PEOPLE. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.”

Robert Pattinson, mingling in the VIP room at a party following the Juno Awards (the Canadian Grammys) at Vancouver’s Velvet Room inside the Opus Hotel. The Twilight star arrived after the Universal Music bash was in full swing, then grabbed a martini and some food – much to the delight of many of the waitresses working the soiree. According to a source, several servers giddily greeted the actor, who was “gracious and really enjoying himself.”

Reuters has an article on Robert Pattinson’s love affair with his old ride.
Pattinson said the old junker was towed recently and that he had good reason for moving on to another ride, despite the appeal of showing he was still a regular guy who happens to be a movie star.
“I was getting a bit scared that I was going to die in it, and thinking is the street cred value worth dying for? And I kind of decided it wasn’t,” he told Reuters.

We have to give you some bad news: the Pro Loco (tourism office) of Montepulciano wrote us to say that the municipality administration denied the rumours on the dates of the shooting of New Moon in Italy: The dates of 25-30th of May actually are neither certain, nor confirmed.
