College Humor – Nikki Reed & Peter Facinelli

Check out what has Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli has been up to these days! ;)

Breaking Dawn @ Comic Con 2011

Yup, its that time of the year again! San Diego Comic Con 2011 is here! And check out the poster fans who waited in line got EXCLUSIVELY!

Its seems that this year’s Comic Con appearance for the Breaking Dawn cast has been very low key. There is no video coverage for the Press Conference and we’re getting news feeds from Live Blogs such as Hypable and Comingsoon.net. Before the cast members head on to Hall H to meet the fans! :D

Here’s an excerpt of the Press Conference that was done in 2 sessions where Part 1 had Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Julia Jones and Booboo Stewart. And later Part 2 will Bill Condon, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Excepts of the Part 1 & 2 Interviews from MovieLine.com

9:13 When Ashley Greene got the Twilight gig, the first person she called was her dad. Jones has heard everyone’s “I got the call” story. Stewart got the call, “then my mom made me go do yardwork outside.”

9:16 Reaser on wrapping the film: “It’s just so weird to end something, and five movies… it hit us, we were in shock.” But she knows the promo campaign will last a while longer. Whispers: “It’s never gonna end.”

9:17 Reaser on the possibility of reprising her role in additional Twilight films, post-Breaking Dawn: “I think Stephenie’s done with us.”

9:19 Reed on Rosalie and Bella’s relationship in Breaking Dawn: “I think they find some sort of middle ground… Rosalie wants to be a mom so she finds a way to work through her anger…”

9:20 Reaser’s favorite deleted scene: “There was a scene that was deleted in the first movie, it was our little sexy scene. I remember that was a good scene. I kept wanting it to be more sexy. Catherine Hardwicke and I wanted it to be more hot, we were like ‘They’re going to go do something else now.’ and Peter was like, ‘No, no, no…’”

9:24 The Wedding Scene! Cast is tight-lipped, but they can at least say:

Greene: “At least filming wise, we do have the most fun when we’re all together… it reminded me of the baseball scene.”

Reaser: “And it’s so beautiful, it really looks like a dream wedding… I don’t think I can tell you anything about it.”

Greene: “Well, I hung all those flowers, so…”

9:25 On cos-play: “I’d like to dress up as Batman,” says Reaser. Reed and Facinelli dressed up as the Wonder Twins for a promo. Stewart would cos-play as a zombie.

9:26 Would they ever wait in line for something, like the Twilight fans do for Comic-Con? Reaser: “If I knew the White Stripes were going to come to the tent… I think I would.”

9:28 The international vampires were “much sexier” than the American vamps: The Egyptians, the Denali clan, “those nutty Romanian guys… very S&M inspired.”

9:30 What items did they take home from set? Sweatpants, make-up, and craft service. “I took some socks,” quips Reaser, “but that’s because I needed some.” ELIZABETH REASER FOR THE WIN!

10:30 Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and director Bill Condon arrive.

10:34 Bill Condon discusses what it was like to film in Brazil, but WHAT THE HECK IS ON ROBERT PATTINSON’S HEAD? New haircut. Like he shaved one half of his head and went to do this press conference and forgot to finish the other side.

Oh right, Brazil: Shooting on the streets of Brazil, people would literally stop and try to grab Pattinson during filming.

10:37 Will Breaking Dawn really, truly, be the end of the saga? Pattinson answers with trademark goofy aplomb, mumbling something about breakfast time. Condon steps in: “There are so many characters, I suspect [Stephenie] will want to revisit them at some time.”

10:38 The Wedding Scene was kept most under wraps during filming. “I had a Volturi cloak on, because that’s all we had to cover up,” said Stewart of hiding Bella’s dress while helicopters flew over head hoping for a peek.

10:39 The cast seems dismayed that the entire sex scene leaked online.

10:40 How did Bella’s pregnancy and ordeal affect Stewart? “It’s hard for me to take myself out of it. I’ve been building up to these moments for 4 years, I was 17 when we started. This one is loaded with those huge cathartic moments, and they’re rooted in a reality that I can see myself in.”

“I can’t let the book punch me in the face every morning… you have to let the moments happen.”

Stewart feels the film is close to the book. Condon calls Stewart a huge fan of the book, she knew what Bella would feel in every moment.

10:43 Favorite scenes:

Lautner: I’ve always been able to choose one, but in this one I can’t. There’s so much going on in this movie and all of the characters are dealing with their own thing… Jacob changes so much from the beginning to the end, so it’s hard for me to choose.

Stewart picks one that has nothing to do with either Edward or Jacob: “There’s a scene with me and Charlie at the wedding that I love so much, and also with Renee.”

Pattinson picks the birth scene! “For a fantasy film with a young audience, it goes quite far… but there’s no other way to do it.”

10:45 Condon discusses his love of Dark Shadows, which he grew up watching. He’s always been into vampires.

10:48 Stewart says Twilight couldn’t have worked as an indie film. Turning to Condon: “It’s nice to work with an A-lister!”

10:47 What are some nerdy things the cast has learned about each other?

“Breakfast time!” says Stewart. “Kristen literally only watches the cooking channel,” says Pattinson. She must always watch the cooking channel in every room, and it’s “her only diva-ish behavior.”

Here are more videos from the Press Conference:

Breaking Dawn News – Summit currently building sets in Louisiana/Wyck Godfrey Updates us on BD/Nikki talks more abt BD

Collider.com has 2 Exclusives today!

FIRST UP – news about the Breaking Dawn preparations in Louisiana.

We have confirmed through two sources that the production is currently building sets in the Raleigh Studios at the Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge, including Edward’s house.  We’ve been told the interior scenes will be shot in Louisiana, while the exteriors will presumably be shot in Vancouver.

Wonder how much of the script requires interior shots – which will more or less determine how long the cast will stay in Louisiana. (Interior scenes namely: The Wedding(AH!!!!), The Honeymoon (;)), The Birthing Scene, ‘After’ Bella.

Going by the book, there are many important exterior scenes which would be of course the final battle scene, battle practice scenes, Jacob’s Book scene, Back story of the Amazonian Vampires, The Cullens travelling all over the world looking for witnesses and of course Isle Esme.  We are just speculating here and more will be revealed soon enough.

SECONDLY -  Collider has an Exclusive Interview with Twilight producer – Wyck Godfrey. He updates us on the Eclipse DVD as well as Breaking Dawn :)

As the producer of all the Twilight movies, Godfrey is in the unique position to be able to talk about the franchise in a way the actors and even the directors can’t. After all, while an actor might be able to talk about filming a certain scene or what it was like for them working with the director, Godfrey is the person who can explain why they chose to film a certain way or why they wanted a certain actor or director to be a part of the franchise.  To put it simply: producers are the ones with all the answers.

Anyway, during the interview Godfrey talks about making Eclipse and what fans can expect on the DVD/Blu-ray.  We also talked a lot about Breaking Dawn including how they’ll be filming it in Louisiana and Vancouver, how long does he expect the movies to be, how did they get Bill Condon to direct them, and a lot more on the next two films.  We also talked about the eventual ultimate DVD/Blu-ray box set for Twilight, his other projects with Channing Tatum and Amy Adams, and way more than I can put in this intro.  It’s a great interview so take a look:

MTV’s Hollywood Crush chatted with Nikki Reed about BD!

Breaking Dawn NEWS – BD TO START FILMING IN less than 2 WEEKS!

HollywoodLife.com has this Exclusive! Head on there for MORE!

We got to catch up with Nikki Reed at the launch of the Swatch new gents collection at the Gansevoort Park Avenue on Oct. 6 in NYC, where she told us the whole cast will be back together in New Orleans to begin work on the Breaking Dawn set in no time!

While Twilight and Eclipse were shot in Vancouver, the star said the cast is first headed down south for the fourth movie. “I’m headed out there [to New Orleans] in just over a week,” she said.

So, what can we expect from Rosalie? Nikki said she wants fans to see the sympathetic side of her vampire character and hopes to humanize her. “I cross my fingers I can do it accurately.” In order to get back in to character, she said she re-read the book, Breaking Dawn and she has acting classes scheduled for next week and plans to prep up until she goes off to New Orleans! “I went through it last month once I got the scripts just to make sure nothing was missing.”

Eclipse News – LA Times:Eclipse Cheat Sheet

The LA TIMES has published a cheat sheet for Fans who have read the book from to back, back to front countless times over AND for people who are oblivious to the books!

Kristen Stewart

Character: Isabella “Bella” Marie Swan, Edward Cullen’s girlfriend and best friend of Jacob Black.Back story: Bella desperately wants to be changed into a vampire so she and Edward can share their love for eternity. Edward, though, is determined to keep her human to save her soul. It’s a dilemma made only worse when the ruling vampire body called the Volturi discovers that human Bella knows of their existence. They force a vow from the Cullen family to turn Bella within a year or they will kill her. Bella is also being hunted by the vampire Victoria, after the Cullens killed her sadistic mate James.Favorite “Eclipse” scene: “There were two scenes that just were very important to me and they happen one after the other,” Stewart says. “It’s when Jacob and Bella kiss and then she goes and talks to Edward about it. It was just so different from anything that I’ve played in this series so far. The movie is so very much about ultimate devotion, so to stray from that was just weird and cool and sort of makes the relationship between Edward and Bella a little bit more real because now she’s seen another side and she can actually consider something else for five seconds of her life.”

Robert Pattinson

Character: Edward Cullen, the adopted son of Esme and Carlisle, adoptive brother of Emmett, Alice and Jasper, and Bella Swan’s beau. He has the ability to read minds, with the exception of Bella’s.Back story: It has taken the brooding Edward generations to fall in love and now that he has, he feels responsible for Bella’s life — and soul—so resists turning her into a vampire, though outside forces are weighing on him to do so. In “New Moon,” after a brief birthday fiasco puts Bella in mortal danger, Edward breaks up with her and the Cullens move away as a way to protect her from further potential harm from their kind. He soon finds it difficult to live without her and returns only to find Bella is in renewed danger and, in his absence, has developed a close relationship to her friend Jacob. Needless to say, Edward and Jacob, do not care for each other.Where is Edward 100 years from now? “Oh, God, I don’t know,” Pattinson says. “I mean, it seems like he’s gone through so many problems and the series is only over a period of like two years or something — or three years, maybe, for the whole thing. I mean, you can’t keep living like that … it’s just craziness the entire time. [Edward's] probably been killed or something.”

Taylor Lautner

Character: Jacob Black is Bella’s best friend. He is a Quileute Native American and a member of the wolf pack.Back story: Though Bella is still clearly in love with Edward, Jacob’s feelings toward her have grown. He has also discovered that he is one in an ancient line of Quileute werewolves — mortal enemies of the Cullens though sworn to a long-standing treaty with the family as long as the vampires don’t harm humans. Suspecting Bella’s desire to become a vampire, Jacob reminds Edward of the Quileute-Cullen treaty, implying there could be trouble if she is bitten.Favorite “Eclipse” scene: “I liked the tent scene a lot,” Lautner says. “I had a lot of fun filming it. But another really fun one occurred right in front of Bella’s house after I kissed her for the first time … and she punched me. Edward and Jacob get into a huge fight and we’re yelling at each other and he grabs my shoulder and [Bella's father] Charlie comes storming out and breaks up the fight. It was really a funny scene to film.”

Nikki Reed

Character: Rosalie Hale, the adopted daughter of Esme and Carlisle, adoptive sister of Edward, Alice, and Jasper, and wife of Emmett.Back story: In “Twilight,” Rosalie isn’t too keen about the relationship developing between Edward and Bella. When the family vows to protect Bella from the killer vampire James, Rosalie reluctantly participates. In “New Moon,” Rosalie apologizes to Bella and Edward for her killjoy behavior. But when it comes time to vote whether Bella should be transformed into a vampire, Rosalie has her reasons to oppose it.Favorite “Eclipse” scene: “I really loved shooting my back story,” Reed says. “I really felt like I needed to do that for me. I was so happy when I read it in the script. I was crossing my fingers for the last two years that it would make it in [from the book]. I don’t know how much I enjoyed filming it — I was really nervous. You only get one shot to do that as Rosalie. But it was a really special scene for me.”

Where is Rosalie 100 years from now? “I’ll be planning my 90th wedding because I keep making Emmett marry me and reliving that. It’s so amazing that he does everything I say.”

Julia Jones

Character: Leah Clearwater, the only female member of the wolf pack.Favorite “Eclipse” scene: “I think mine was one of the scenes in the big battle toward the end,” Jones says. “It was the wolf pack and so many of the other characters and we were kind of sequestered in this location far away from our trailers so we were kind of hanging out. There was a lot of the action element, but combined with this heightened emotion, which was fun. It was like working hard and playing hard.”

Where is Leah 100 years from now? “I just think Leah would be tired. I hope she could get some rest. Some peace and quiet.”

Eclipse News – New Clip:Rosalie & Bella/ Esme’s take on the tent scene

Nikki Reed kicked off the Twilight Event on The Ellen Show when she did an interview with Ellen and gave away Eclipse premiere tickets yesterday!!

Nikki also brought with her a new clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse that features Bella and Rosalie finally having a conversation. :)

How? You like?! :) We do!!!

And later today – Wednesday 19th May – Robert Pattinson will revisit the Ellen Show and chat with her! Lets see what Ellen will do or give Rob this time. ;)

MTV.com had a chat with Elizabeth Reaser about the sexiness factor in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Elizabeth Reaser might play Edward’s adopted vampire mom, Esme Cullen, in “Twilight,” but that doesn’t mean she can’t find the “Eclipse” tent scene to be one really sexy moment. If Twi-Hards thought it was hot in the book, Reaser said, then they really need to see the flick, out June 30.

“The tent scene, I remember that being one of the hottest scenes in the books, so I’m excited to see that,” Reaser said when she stopped by the MTV News offices Tuesday (May 18). “I’m Team Edward, so I can’t relate to [Bella] being torn [between Edward and Jacob], but I mean, come on, vampires are cool! Wolves are super hairy and they smell disgusting, like dogs.”

Reaser said the tent scene ups the sexual ante in the “Twilight Saga.” “The tent scene is sort of a three-way — I mean, it’s a chaste three-way, but it is, nonetheless, a three-way,” she said. “So I do think that ups the sexiness factor in this movie, but I don’t know. The first movie, I thought, was intensely sexy, because they couldn’t touch, and to watch them fall in love was so sexy. And I love that, in the books, they all have great chemistry. So it’s fun to watch.”

2010 MTV Movie Awards

Its the time of the MTV Movie Awards again! The Hangover, New Moon, Avatar lead 2010 MTV Movi Awards nomination. And this time The Twilight Saga: New Moon dominates with 5 nominations, excluding Kristen, Robert and Taylor are nominated under the category ‘Global Superstar’!

Here are a couple of feedback of those who thought of how we’re going to get nominated for the ‘New Moon’!

Kristen Stewart Scores Two Best Kiss Nods for MTV Movie Awards

KStew is not only nominated for her steamy kiss with Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” but she could also win for her girly lip-lock with Dakota Fanning in “The Runaways.” Stewart has been quite the busy girl this year!

When MTV News caught up with the star last year, we asked which big-screen co-star was the better kisser: RPattz’s Edward Cullen or Fanning’s Cherie Currie. “Cherie, yeah,” Stewart laughed.

Nikki Reed Calls ‘New Moon’ MTV Movie Awards Nods ‘Wonderful’

“I mean, it’s wonderful — [especially] when you make a movie and you have absolutely zero expectations,” she told MTV News at the Young Hollywood Awards on Thursday night. Reed added that the cast had no idea that the “Twilight” phenomenon would resonate so strongly and passionately with their fans.

“When we made ‘Twilight,’ none of us knew what it was going to become. There’s inevitably a certain amount of pressure going back,” she continued. “You want to make sure the second one is just as good, so I guess we’re all really happy and relieved. All the actors love the books and the movies just as much as the fans.”

Go ahead and start voting for the Best Movie just like last year at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards!

Eclipse News – LA Times: The Cullens

WOW! LA Times is featuring The Twilight Saga yet again today! With the headline ” ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ is a Bloodbath for the Cullens”

“The whole family is in a vulnerable position because of the love we have for Bella,” said Elizabeth Reaser, who plays matriarch Esme Cullen. “If she’s not OK, we’re not OK.”

KILLING TIME: Elizabeth Reaser, left, Peter Facinelli and Nikki Reed have a fight on their hands in the latest installment of the "Twilight" franchise. (Kirk McKoy / Los Angeles Times)

In the past, we’ve seen the clan hit baseballs so hard that they can play only in a thunder storm, to block out the sound. And we’ve watched the buttoned-up human imposters welcome Bella into their home as the human girlfriend of one of their own — the handsome Edward.

“This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness,” said Peter Facinelli, who plays head vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer.

What can we expect from the pale-faced Cullen family (which includes the Hale siblings) this go around? Here’s what the actors say audiences can expect from the story and their characters:

Facinelli: “For me, as Carlisle, it’s an exciting portion of the series. Carlisle is very compassionate and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he’s sorry in his head. And, you know, he’s calm and level-headed. He’s the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he’s not getting that information. Neither one of his sources are working, so he’s kind of flying blind.”

Reaser: “Esme is still a vampire. She still wants to kill people all day long. It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven’t really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.

Nikki Reed (as Rosalie Hale): “You see a reason for her attitude. I think fans will feel for her. There was a bit of that in ‘New Moon.’ Fans got to see a bit of her sensitive side. Her sane side. Her logical side. And her desire to help her family. This time around, she is much more of a participant. She’s a survivor. This is her family. So if protecting Bella means protecting her family, she’s going to do it.”

Kellan Lutz (as Emmett Cullen): “You’re going to see a smile on Emmett’s face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there’s a lot of fighting. He sort of plays bigger in this one than the others.”

Boo Boo Stewart was recently interviewed by OnTheRedCarpet.com and he’s said,

“Now there’s going to be action so now the ‘Twilight’ fans – they all have their boyfriends and stuff, so now they’re going to really like it even more.”

Eclipse News

First up! Reelz Channel shows of what our Twilight Saga cast has been up to lately.

MTV Movies Blog has Ashley Greene already previewed some ‘Eclipse’ footage!

“Then, the whole fight sequence that I’ve seen really looks amazing,” Greene said of another of her favourite moments in the film, which is expected to bring more action and blood than any of the previous “Twilight” movies. “We worked our tails off for it.”

The suspense is killing us already! How much more sooner can June come!

IESB.net has Ashley Greene Talks Skateland, The Apparition & Compares Twilight Sequel Directors.

Q: For The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, did David Slade give you a syllabus or mission statement, the way that Chris Weitz did for The Twilight Saga: New Moon?

Ashley: No, he definitely didn’t give us that. But, each of the cast did sit down and have hour-long, sit-down conversations with him, probably two or three times, going over the whole script and us highlighting anything that we wanted to talk about. He went about it a different way, but he was also very open about forming some type of collaboration. The directors have their own vision. They don’t want to change our characters, but their vision may be a little different. Obviously, David Slade has a little darker spin on it than Chris Weitz may have had, so we had to find a way to mold them together.

Nikki tells Access Hollywood that she a lot of fun on the set of Eclipse!

New York Post has Jackson Rathbone: I loved brining our Jasper’s dark side in ‘Eclipse’

PW: So is it difficult then to play Jasper over the course of five films?
Jackson: The thing I like about Jasper’s arc is that it’s very developed — you don’t know much about him in the first film. He’s always in pain but don’t know why, until the second film, when you realize that he’s the newest to the family and he’s basically dying of hunger. It’s very difficult to live that vampryic lifestyle. So he’s having trouble adjusting. In the third film, we get to see Jasper’s backstory – see who he used to be and why he’s having such a hard time transitioning.

PW: So “Eclipse” will flashback to his time in The Civil War?
Jackson: Yeah. We do a little segue/backstory in “Eclipse”,when he was turned during the Civil War. We get to see his more aggressive tendencies. When you’re first turned into a vampire, that’s when you’re at your most ravenous, most vicious – so you see Jasper go through that. It was a lot of fun to bring out the darker side of Jasper that he’s been holding back.

Larry Carroll from MTV Mivies Blog has an interesting article where he sums up all of Rob’s rumours lately!

Rob’s Nirvana? The Sun is a British tabloid that seems to specialize in stories about how Megan Fox is going to play Catwoman. Their latest “scoop,” however, was a real doozy — Rob was in regular contact with Courtney Love and had landed the role of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in a biopic. The rumor got a bit of traction, particularly because of RPattz’s well-documented love of music, but ultimately the Sun story was dismissed by Love’s reps, leaving the tabloid to offer all apologies.

Check out the rest of the rumors put to rest: Robert Pattinson’s Kurt Cobain Casting And Other Classic, Untrue RPattz RumorsWell said, Larry! :D

Collider had a video interview with Kristen and Dakota on doing their Runaways movie.

During the interview Stewart and Fanning answered questions I got via Twitter (thanks to everyone who tweeted me questions) and if you watch time index 2:50 or so, you can hear what sounds like the wall falling and see their reactions.  It’s actually a very relaxed and fun interview.  Check it out after the jump:

JSYK asks Kristen how it wouls be like working alongside her mom for the movie K-11.

“If she called me right now and said, ‘We’re making the movie,’ I would be really excited. I guess my question is, ‘How would it be to work with a parent?’ We’re really close and then, at the same time, we’re creatively very different. But, I think it would be cool if it happens.”

Hollywoodlife! has an EXCLUSIVE! Nikki Reed Backs Out of ‘K-11′ Movie with Kristen Stewart!

This is a shocker to me, really. I was looking forward to seeing Nikki and Kristen being in a prison movie. ;)

The Hollywood Reporter shows that Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz has booked more movies, ‘Butter’ and ‘Love, Wedding, Marriage’ , repectively. And they’re both comedy films!

“Butter” follows a number of competitive characters in a small Midwestern town as they become entwined in an annual butter-carving contest. Greene will play a rebellious high school teenager named Kaitlen Pickler. (Do I smell a sequel built around anaerobic fermentation?)

‘Love, Wedding, Marriage’ – The story centers on a newlywed marriage counselor (Moore) who is thrown for a loop when she learns that her parents, whose marriage she’s always idealized, are headed for divorce. She sets out on a disastrous path to save their marriage at the expense of her own, manipulating loved ones to achieve her objectives. Lutz will play her husband; Brolin and Seymour will play the parents. – The Hollywood Reporter

Now we’ve got more movies to look forward to from our favourite Cullen siblings! :D

Check out this clip of Kellan on ‘The Nightmare on Elm Street’!

I’m not a big fan of horror movies, but this is just too exciting!

Twilight News

Deadline New York has more about Stephenie’s The Host movie adaptation’s progress.

I can report some forward progress on the movie version of The Host, Meyer’s first adult novel which she optioned last fall to producers Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz–the trio behind the terrific screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. Steve Schwartz tells me that Andrew Niccol is working on the third draft of a screenplay which he’s writing in close consultation with the author.

Film.com had an interview with Melissa Rosenberg on New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn’s Potential MPAA Rating.

LL: You’ve been writing Dexter and The Twilight Saga for the better part of four years now. How do you maintain a balance with your personal life? Or is it just about “The jobs are available now, I’m going to work as hard as I can right now because I don’t know if I’ll get another shot like this?”

MR: It’s the second one. There is no life balance. I’ve been working for many years and I’m well aware of how rare an opportunity it is to have even one of these projects available, much less both. It’s an extraordinary opportunity. You just don’t walk away from opportunities like that because you’re too tired or it’s too much work. I had to grasp them both, and fortunately I have a very understanding husband and very understanding friends.

Both Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone has expressed their views on how and who they think ‘Breaking Dawn’ should be directed.

LA Times Blog has listed another Oscar-nominated director who might direct ‘Breaking Dawn’ – ‘The Reader’ director Stephen Daldry.

Still, even by those standards, Daldry stands out. He’s been nominated for three Oscars, more than any of the other directors on the short list. In fact, Daldry is the rare filmmaker who’s been nominated for a best directing Oscar for every feature he’s made.

Those credentials make taking on a global teen phenomenon seem unlikely, though there are reasons to think it could work. The director is well-versed in depicting forbidden love (a “Twilight” staple) with “The Reader” and “The Hours.” And he’s adept at themes of family alienation, also a franchise fixture, which ran under “Billy Elliot.” Also, like most of the others, Daldry doesn’t yet have a new film.

Nikki Reed was on Youn Hollywood for her fashion and style and a little bit on the third film, Eclipse.

Harper’s Bazaar has listed Dakota Fanning and Anna Kendrick as Hollywood’s 10 Rising Style Stars! Our girls has always looked gorgeous. :)

New Moon News: DVD Sales!

Entertainment Tonight had a video during ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ DVD Release! Check out the excitement of our fellow Twilighters!

CNN had a video interview with Nikki Reed and Chris Weitz regarding our New Moon DVD.

Monsters and Critics had an interview with Cameron Bright after the release of the ‘New Moon’ DVD.

M&C – The Twilight storm is so over the top.  What do you think about the fans have reacted to it?

CB - It’s amazing, the things I’ve gotten to do – travel to Australia, go to Twilight conventions around the world, and meet people who’ve been following me and watching my career since I was 6.  I’m 17 and I live in a town of 100,000 people and not very many people get to do that.  People ask me if I’d turn back because of the hype but I don’t regret anything I’ve done in my life.  If I can’t walk down the street, there is a possibility that I would turn into Robert Pattinson, I would regret it.  But no one strong armed me into doing this and no one really cares.

Summit Entertainment has released a press release regarding the sales of the New Moon DVD during its first weekend!

Los Angeles, CA March 23, 2010 – Summit Entertainment announced today that the home entertainment release of the studio’s action-packed, modern day vampire love story THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON sold just over 4 million DVD units in its first weekend of release. The tally surpasses the first weekend sales of TWILIGHT in 2009 which sold 3.8 million DVD units, and went on to be the top selling DVD title of the year with 9.2 million units sold. The DVD launch of NEW MOON commenced this past Saturda

y morning with 7,000 retail locations nationwide taking part in events at midnight giving fans their first chance to obtain a DVD of the film.

Thousands of TWILIGHT fans across the nation participated in the “NEW MOON at Midnight” event and some were treated to surprise appearances by members of the cast as well as the film’s director. Fans saw actors Justin Chon who plays Eric, Christian Serratos who plays Angela, and Michael Welch who plays Mike in Salt Lake City; director Chris Weitz and Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Hale in Los Angeles; Peter Facinelli who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in New York; Edi Gathegi who plays Laurent in Pittsburgh; and Liz Reaser who plays Esme Cullen in Phoenix. Other cast members of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON made appearances nationwide including Kiowa Gordon and Tinsel Korey in Cincinnati; Charlie Bewley in Denver; Chaske Spencer and Tyson Houseman in Atlanta; Daniel Cudmore in Houston; and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg in Seattle.

Summit Entertainment’s Co-Chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger stated, “Once again the incredibly dedicated fans of the TWILIGHT SAGA came out in massive numbers this weekend for the opportunity to be one of the first take home the second movie in the series. As we have said all along, the fans are what make this franchise and we once again thank them for their support.”

“The support that we have received from our retail partners in accommodating the incredible demand for the title has been nothing short of amazing,” said Steve Nickerson, Summit’s President of Home Entertainment. “The ground we have broken with in-store partnerships and the availability of this title has been a positive influence on the retail DVD business.”

Congratulations, Summit! :D

Twilight News

Twilight: The Graphic Novel has been creating a lot of buzz ever since it was revealed and thanks to one of our Twimoms, Janelene, Kinokuniya is selling Twilight: The Graphic Novel Volume 1 at $32.63.

There has been many speculations that Muse might or might not be in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack but thanks to Twilighters Anonymous, it is confirmed! MUSE will be in the Eclipse soundtrack! You can find out more about it over at Twilighters Anonymous.

Over at cast related news, People magazine interviewed Nikki Reed and asked her about her Eclipse preparation.

“Movie vampire Nikki Reed says she wanted to “die” shooting The Twilight Saga: Eclipse because it was so emotionally and physically draining.

New Moon News

Metro News interviewed young actor, Cameron Bright for his role of Alec in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

“They’re the leaders of the vampire nation, the ones who enforce the laws. And if you’re a leader you have to make difficult decisions, sometimes, and you have to be strong… and feared.”

And fear is what the Volturi trade in. Bright’s Alec is at first glance, an almost cherubic figure, but one who wields the lethal ability to completely shut off his victims’ senses, rendering them virtual vegetables. It’s just another novel re-imagining of an iconic monster — the vampire — that has caused both the Twilight books and the films to be controversial amongst purists.

Daniel Cudmore, who plays Felix, was interviewed by Studio 39 for his role in the Twilight Saga films.

MTV Movies Blog was at one of the New Moon DVD release party where Nikki Reed and director, Chris Weitz has made an appearance.

“I like to go to Wal-Mart to hold press conferences just at odd moments, so this is not my first time,” Weitz joked when he spoke with MTV News at the event. “But usually people don’t show up with cameras. I’m just talking to an imaginary microphone.”

“The first question I always get asked is, ‘Did you feel a lot of pressure coming in doing the second movie of the franchise,’ ” said Weitz. “And I actually didn’t even think about that until people started asking me.”

Weitz has made a point not to claim the series as his own. Even after the popularity of “New Moon,” he repeatedly said he would not return to direct the final film(s),“Breaking Dawn.” Still, he acknowledged his role in making the series reach an even higher level of popularity.

‘New Moon’ Star Nikki Reed On Who Should Direct ‘Breaking Dawn’

“I was trying to ask them earlier today, and they wouldn’t give me anything,” she said. “But all the directors that you mentioned, I mean, that would be fantastic, both [Van Sant and Coppola]. Either one. I mean, we would be honored.”

Our very own, Twilight Guy, Kaleb Nation has also managed to interview Nikki and Chris!

Well done, Kaleb!
