Entertainment Tonight has a brief interview with Dakota, Ashley and Kellan at the ‘Push’ premiere.
“It would be so neat if it worked out, I’m a really big fan,” Dakota says about being a part of ‘New Moon.’ “It’s probably too soon to say for sure, but it would be really cool.”
‘Twilight’ stars Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene tell ET they would really like to work with the young star.
“I hope she does ['New Moon'] she’s a brilliant actress,” Kellan says — Ashley adds: “Hopefully she will be involved in the second one. I think she’s an amazing little actress.”

It was reported that Lucy Hale from Privileged did auditioned for the role of Jane. Source.
“Well, I did read [for the role of Jane]. We had some talks about it. But I think they just offered it to Dakota Fanning, the role I was interested in. Which is great – I’m a huge fan of her! So, I think she’ll probably take that. And I mean, as of right now, I’m not sure if it’s going to work out. But I’m definitely still going to see it!”

MTV.com interviewed Jackson Rathbone recently. Read on to find out more on what he thinks about the upcoming sequel, ‘New Moon’.
Here’s another article from tribute.ca, confirming that Taylor Lautner will be back for Jacob Black.
In the meanwhile, Edi Gathegi had an interview with Sci Fi. Edi discussed about Taylor returning as Jacob Black and well, the new director, Chris Weitz for New Moon. Oh yes in this article, Edi confirms that he will be coming back as Laurent still!
And you know, most of us give up on Vanessa Hudgen’s audition for Leah Clearwater in New Moon. At first, according to Just Jared, Vanessa’s management mentioned that she did not auditioned for New Moon. However, Access Hollywood said that she did auditioned for New Moon. So, who should we believe now? Twilight Lexicon turned to Melissa Rosenberg and this is what she had to say:

According to sources around Hollywood, things may start looking very hairy for Taylor Lautner. The actor — not to mention legions of Twilight fans — has been desperate to learn whether Summit Entertainment will cast him once more as Jacob Black in the Twilightsequel New Moon.
This week, Summit is expected to announce its decision for the next film based on Stephenie Meyer’s wildly successful series of vampire romance novels.

New Moon’s official release date in the US: 20 November 2009! Are you excited? I hope New Moon will come to Singapore earlier than Twilight did, especially since New Moon’s release date is around the same as Twilight’s. There is a short article here.
