The Teen Choice Awards 2010 was recorded tonight and will be broadcasted tomorrow on the FOX Network at 8/7 Pm Central in the US (that’s about 8 AM Singapore Time, Tuesday August 10th) We’ve checked Starhub’s FOX Channel 505 schedule for the week but the TCAs were not listed.
So for now, we are not sure that it’ll be broadcasted on air here in Sin at all. We’ll keep you updated if we hear wind of it – and if you do – give us a tinkle!

Eclipse News – Quileute tribe & Native American actors gets the spotlight thru Eclipse (Twilight) Films
Real tribe gets its due in ‘Twilight’ films

Jones, who plays Leah Clearwater in “Eclipse,” said: “That’s also what excites me, is that we’re being put in front of primarily children and people who are in the process of defining their ideas of what Native Americans are. I think that’s probably the most valuable aspect of the way that Native Americans are portrayed in this film.”
Actor Chaske Spencer sees the “Twilight Saga” as a turning point for American Indians working in Hollywood.
Spencer and co-stars Alex Meraz and Julia Jones play Quileute tribal werewolves who can phase between human and wolf form at will. Despite the supernatural context, the actors see the Quileute portrayal as a well-deserved modernization of American Indian imagery.
“What I like about it is it has brought us to pop culture in a way that’s never been done before in film,” said the Tahlequah, Okla.-born Spencer, who plays Sam Uley in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” and has Nez Perce, Sioux and Creek ancestry.
“We’ve been around for a while. I’ve been working for, like, 10 years, and these two have also been around and working, and what I like about it is it’s finally brought us to a place where we’re not always playing with the leather and feather. That’s how we paid our dues,” Spencer said.
“And I like also, and it’s kind of up to the media as well to accept us as other than being just the mystical figures and put on the leather and feather, and speaking like in a ‘rez’ accent all the time – because I’ve done that so many times. And the kids, the kids are more accepting of us than anything else. That’s what’s really cool.”

“And speaking more on that – it’s in a contemporary setting,” said Alex Meraz, who plays Paul. “Like Chaske was saying, leather-and-feather period piece, we don’t have bows and arrows. We don’t even have clothes, though.”
With all that phasing between human and giant wolf, the average Quileute in “Twilight” prefers to go shirtless rather than break the bank buying clothes. But on a serious note, Meraz said the portrayal of the Quileute tribe has brought attention to the real, non-shape-shifting tribe in La Push, Wash.
“The fascinating thing about portraying a tribe that actually does exist is that the stuff (‘Twilight’ series author) Stephenie (Meyer) had taken from the tribe, she kind of mixed it in the realm of fantasy,” said Meraz, whose family originates with the P’urhepecha tribe of northern Mexico.
“But now a lot of people are going to Washington state, they’re going to La Push where the Quileute tribe actually do reside in, and they’re learning more. They’re forced to ask questions, learn more about the culture. And I think that that’s great that they’re getting a spotlight to introduce and to tell the story, the real creation story. That’s important. I think that fans are so into it that they want to learn where this germinated from, the root of where the wolf pack comes from.”

- Jacob’s Black Body: Photos of Taylor Lautner‘s amazing transformation from a scrawny kid to a rippling teen werewolf already have been making the rounds for months. But the first time Lautner rips off his T-shirt to reveal his muscled chest onscreen, the sight is still gasp-worthy. In fact, Lautner sizzles and smolders throughout New Moon as he walks the line between friendship and romance with Bella (Kristen Stewart). Though Bella’s heart belongs to Edward (Robert Pattinson), Launter may steal Pattinson’s heartthrob status right out from under his pale nose.
- Bella & Edward’s Reunion: When Edward comes to the (incorrect) conclusion that his love, Bella, is dead, he decides there is no choice but to commit vampire suicide. Of course, the only person who can save him is Bella. - The Wolf Pack: The actors who play Jacob Black’s gang of strapping pals provide the perfect mix of teen tension and ferocious loyalty that exist between the group of guys who realize that one and all are actually werewolves. They snarl and yelp, tease and torment each other, and of course, fight together just like Twilight Saga author Stephanie Meyer describes in her series.
- Dakota Fanning: She plays the pint-sized vamp, Jane, who wields a daunting power – simply by concentrating she can cause her victims to convulse in excruciating pain. She’s not in the movie for very long, but when she focuses those red eyes on her targets and softly whispers, “Pain,” everyone will squirm.
- The Sense of Humour: While the Twilight series is based overwrought teenage angst, director Chris Weitz lightens the mood with some well-placed humor. Bella’s human school friends provide comic relief. When one of them has to leave a horror movie because he’s ill, Launter’s character laughs and says, “What a marshmallow.” And when a member of the wolf pack accidentally changes from human to werewolf right in front of Bella, another member quips, “Well, I guess the wolf is out of the bag.”

Kristen Stewart will be featured in the September issue in British magazine Dazed & Confused. MTV has the inside pictures of the magazine.
Kristen warns not to judge a celeb—including her—by a magazine cover. “The fact is, the paparazzi and most interviewers, they want your soul,” she said. “It’s so scary because your persona… and I guess I now have one, because people think of me in a certain way… is all based entirely on quick snippets of crazed moments in your life. And that is what people then base their entire opinion of me on!”
To make matters worse, sometimes its the actress herself who unintentionally causes the misunderstanding. “Anything you say can come and bite you in the ass,” Kristen said. “It’s not even like you say things you don’t mean, it’s just that sometimes they come out wrong.”

MTV’s Larry Carroll talked to Taylor Lautner & Kiowa Gordon about the Wolfpack & ‘muffin scene’ in The Twilight Saga:New Moon.
As those who have read the Stephenie Meyer novels know, this inserted scene is rife with dramatic and humorous possibilities. At some point in the saga, Sam Uley imprints on Emily — the second cousin of high school sweetheart Leah Clearwater — leaving Leah more than a tad bitter. The scene takes place on the La Push reservation, with many of the key Quileute characters interacting while they partake in their bountiful breakfast. But why muffins?
“We like muffins,” Gordon said, revealing that the Quileute wolves have a taste for more than vampire flesh.
“The muffin scene?” Taylor Lautner grinned when we told him of Gordon’s comments. “I didn’t have the pleasure to enjoy any muffins.

Ashley Greene has this interview where she spoke about reprising her role as Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Going through the fandom of Twilight is a common experience few people could share outside the Twilight world. “Obviously, I can’t speak on anybody else’s behalf, because I don’t know, but I think that we are all definitely looking at each other going, ‘What is going on? What do you do? Does it happen to you?’ so it’s very nice to have someone right there going through the same thing as you and to be able to relate to it. And, yeah, I think it’s had a tremendous effect on how close we’ve all become.”

CanMag’s Fred Topel has an interview with Chris Weitz who talked about the special effects in New Moon as well as ‘inheriting’ Twilight.
“The Volturi are lit differently because they are a different breed of vampire altogether. The diamond skin we’re remaking. It’s going to be groovy. I mean, it’s still diamond skin but it’s been completely reconstructed effects for this one.”
Weitz did acknowledge he is inheriting quite a toy box from his predecessor, and the books on which the films are based. “I inherited a wonderful cast which is really the main appeal to me because when I was offered the film, I hadn’t read the book yet. When I read the book, I realized that there were these deep currents of longing and romance to it, and I inherit a huge fan base, which is incredible, because you know that people are going to see your movie. That’s the only thing you worry about when you’re making a film in the first place. It’s so expensive to make a film and you work so hard, you make other people work so hard, that knowing that other people are going to see it is tremendously refreshing.”

The Cliff Dive — Kristen Stewart told us long ago that Bella’s pivotal cinematic near-suicide will be CGI, and we’ve got to admit: We’re still a bit concerned. Fan-made videos like this one give us an idea of some things to expect from what could be the most powerful moment in “New Moon,” but so far, nothing official. Come on, Chris Weitz — cough it up!
Quil Be Seeing You — Everybody’s got their own favorite quasi-obscure “Twilight” character, and mine is Jacob’s “wingman” Quil Ateara. We know he’s played by Tyson Houseman in the film, but we haven’t seen so much as a publicity shot yet. Sure, some might laugh — but I’ll be wearing a “Team Quil” shirt when I see the film on opening night. Which reminds me of a second complaint: Why has no one invented “Team Quil” T-shirts yet?

On the 4th of July the Twilight Cast & The New Moon Cast did something good for charity in the form of the Vampire Baseball event in cooperation with the Make A Wish Foundation of Oregon. Peter Facinelli’s (Carlisle) Team “The Veggie Vamps Dancing with Wolves” beat Rachelle Lefevre’s (Victoria) “Portland People Eaters” Score 6-3.

Within a couple of weeks word came he landed the part of Embry Call. “My mom got an e-mail. She was ecstatic.” After speaking to the director on the phone, he was off to Los Angeles for a “cyberscan.” It’s a technique used in many movies to create real-life animation. “A machine went around my body to create a computer image so I could be transformed into a werewolf.”
“When I went to Vancouver, the first person I met was Alex Meraz. During the first three weeks I hung out with the wolf pack. We worked with a personal trainer. I gained five pounds. We all bonded and became like brothers,” Gordon said. “I’m the smallest (physically) but I’m the tallest.” Gordon is 5 feet 11 inches tall.
Peter Facinelli did a quick interview with The Sunday Post. He revealed a particular scene in New Moon that he hopes wouldn’t end up on the cutting room floor.
Are there any scenes from the books that you hope make it into the films?
For “New Moon,” there’s a scene with Bella (Kristin Stewart) where I stitch her up. I was excited to shoot that scene because it was a pivotal scene. It kind of sets up the whole reason why Rob’s character doesn’t want to change her into a vampire. I hope it stays in the movie because I feel like it’s essential and it’s a really nice scene for Carlisle and Bella; it’s an intimate thing. It’s a scene where a lot of information is being given and it shows another side of Carlisle, a soft side of him that I like. I’d be bummed if that was out.
Will we see Breaking Dawn SOON AFTER Eclipse? There has not been a confirmation from Summit Entertainment but there are rumors circling in the net about its possibility, fueled by an interview with Ashley Greene. Stay tuned!

One could say that executives at Summit Entertainment are obviously seeing the impending implosion of the vampire craze given the breakneck speed at which the Twilight Saga sequels are being produced. Breaking Dawn will focus on Bella and Jacob’s perspectives following Eclipse, which is slated to wrap filming on October 31 before Breaking Dawn gets underway soon after.
But here’s the funny part of the latest Twilight, Breaking Dawn news that happens on each Twilight film like clockwork:
Robert Pattinson has already signed on for Breaking Dawn but it appears that Kristen Stewart is only “rumoured” to be attached to the fourth Twilight Saga movie.

“We’re going to start right after Eclipse,” says Ash.

Also attached – Taylor Lautner and his flawless skin (how is skin like this possible???) enjoyed a beautiful sunny break in the day. Vancouver is spectacular when it’s not raining. Just… it rains a LOT. Anyway, Taylor and Kristen were running lines all weekend, prepping to begin shooting in earnest this week. Robert Pattinson was running lines on Sunday too for a few hours. He has however for the most part shut himself in when not working out, apparently hasn’t ventured out much, prefers to be alone, politely declines invitations to go out, either getting into character or perhaps frightened by the loser twi-hards who’ve descended upon Vancouver to hunt him down? Twilight is boosting tourism!
