Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:
I’m very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he’s doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.
The characters in Stephenie’s books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

I’d just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I’m truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I’m very much looking forward to seeing what he’s going to bring to Jacob’s character this year.

Earlier in December Robert Pattison [sic] attended a show at The Improv. A tacky and heartless comic was trying to make a tasteless joke out of the death of Heath Ledger. Offended and hurt, Sparklepants stood up for Ledger.

Oh, but here’s the best thing for today: Technically, Twilight was bigger than The Dark Knight. Don’t believe me? E! Online says it’s true!

Things are getting both hilarious and outrageous. There were Hot Topic band-aids, Twilight ice cream and Edward body shimmer. Now there’s perfume that “smells of lavender and freesia, just like Bella.” Is it a joke? Is it one product too much on the paraphernalia that’s already around? I have no idea. You can see more of it here, but I have to warn you: The bottle looks exactly like the Nina by Nina Ricci perfume bottle.
Moving on to slightly more serious stuff, The Buzz Log has said that Rob’s new haircut has “caused an absolute Internet uproar.” HAHA. Doesn’t it attract more hits to your site when you exaggerate? Sure it does.

Remember the Celebrity Addictionary word I’d posted about a while back? Well, E! Online has one more article demonstrating a few more Rob-related words! It’s so funny.
ABS-CBN bags rights for local ‘Twilight’ remake – no you didn’t read wrongly. ‘Twilight’ is going to be made into a local television series in Philippines! And I’m pretty sure that it’s official, now. PerezHilton.com has an article about it too, but do take note that the poster on his site is very obviously edited.

I’m listening to the following interviews now and Rob is really cute. Listen for yourself.
His voice is kind of softer in this interview, actually. Yes, you did not hear wrongly, in the first video the interviewer said that Rob isn’t as “good looking in real life”. LOL. And I am unsure why he didn’t mention “Parts Ber Billion” for his next project too. Does anyone find it funny that Rob is afraid of heights and Kristen isn’t? Kind of like the reverse for their roles.

Joe DeShano from MTV has published his own list of Top 10 movies, and Twilight is number 4:
4. “Twilight”: I find myself kind of surprised that “Twilight” is in my top 10. And what’s it doing at #4? Well, I remember a movie back in 1989 that got fans really excited… That was Tim Burton’s “Batman.”… This movie is that for the younger, female generation. What’s better is that it isn’t necessarily some sappy love story. There’s action and vampires and, yeah, a love interest, but there are also subplots and interwoven texture, which are rare to the vampire genre… I look forward to the sequel.

The Fandango 2009 Hot List is out, and Rob is #2 for “Who is the sexiest man in the movies for 2009?”, according to women. Well, he was beat out by Johnny Depp. Here’s a short description about him.
Similarly, on Pixcetera’s own list of Breakout Stars of 2008, Kristen is #7 on the list and Rob is just after her. Mind you, to get to their pictures, you’ll have to pass other tween sensations. Just to warn you.
Just Jared has new photos of Rob in his new crop upon arrival at the Heathrow airport in London. Now that there’s clearer photos, I think his new haircut is pretty cute!

Something funny from E! Online: On Sunday, Celebrity Addictionary’s word of the day was Pattronize.
It’s a verb that means “to humor one’s Twilight-obsessed friends” who are all gaga over grungy-hunk, sensitive-vampire-dude Robert Pattinson.

The Twilight cast is featured on the Vanity Fair’s December issue. The outtakes are gorgeous, trust me! You can take a look at the outtakes over at Everglow. Or read the article at Vanity Fair’s website. Lastly, they have also attached a behind-the-scene video of the photoshoot.
According to my brother, he saw a video of this photoshoot earlier this afternoon on Entertainment Tonight that was shown on Channel 5. So, if you guys missed it too, there will be a repeats today at 1am and 6am tomorrow.
Next, Entertainment Weekly did an interview with Stephenie Meyer. She discussed about the upcoming Twilight movie, Robert Pattinson, Breaking Dawn and her unfinished Midnight Sun. Here’s what she got to say about Rob:
He’s a very mesmerizing person to be around. He’s got such a compelling personality. I don’t think you’d want him for a boyfriend. And you couldn’t just be his friend because he’s terribly sexy!
