New Moon News
There was a New Moon Pre-Screening Press Conference last night while we’re sleeping here in Singapore and everyone who watched the movie loved what they saw! Twilight Lexicon has always been so kind and they have compiled the list of Twitters regarding the New Moon Pre-Screening Press Conference.
Getting ready for the press conference to begin (Woots!):

*Spoilers beware* People.com tells us the TOP 5 Best Things About New Moon:
- Jacob’s Black Body: Photos of Taylor Lautner‘s amazing transformation from a scrawny kid to a rippling teen werewolf already have been making the rounds for months. But the first time Lautner rips off his T-shirt to reveal his muscled chest onscreen, the sight is still gasp-worthy. In fact, Lautner sizzles and smolders throughout New Moon as he walks the line between friendship and romance with Bella (Kristen Stewart). Though Bella’s heart belongs to Edward (Robert Pattinson), Launter may steal Pattinson’s heartthrob status right out from under his pale nose.
- Bella & Edward’s Reunion: When Edward comes to the (incorrect) conclusion that his love, Bella, is dead, he decides there is no choice but to commit vampire suicide. Of course, the only person who can save him is Bella. When she launches herself through a crowd and across a fountain in an Italian square to push Edward out of harm’s way, the sparks that fly between the soul-mates are like fireworks.
- The Wolf Pack: The actors who play Jacob Black’s gang of strapping pals provide the perfect mix of teen tension and ferocious loyalty that exist between the group of guys who realize that one and all are actually werewolves. They snarl and yelp, tease and torment each other, and of course, fight together just like Twilight Saga author Stephanie Meyer describes in her series.
- Dakota Fanning: She plays the pint-sized vamp, Jane, who wields a daunting power – simply by concentrating she can cause her victims to convulse in excruciating pain. She’s not in the movie for very long, but when she focuses those red eyes on her targets and softly whispers, “Pain,” everyone will squirm.
- The Sense of Humour: While the Twilight series is based overwrought teenage angst, director Chris Weitz lightens the mood with some well-placed humor. Bella’s human school friends provide comic relief. When one of them has to leave a horror movie because he’s ill, Launter’s character laughs and says, “What a marshmallow.” And when a member of the wolf pack accidentally changes from human to werewolf right in front of Bella, another member quips, “Well, I guess the wolf is out of the bag.”

Twilight Cars Edward’s Silver Volvo C30, the car the Twilight movie made famous. It can often be difficult to disguise just how different you are inside from everyone else around you. No matter which clothes you choose to wear, how you decide to style your hair or what kinds of activities you participate in, there are often things about you that give you away to others. It might be the way you walk, the way you talk or even just a feeling that other people have when they are around you.

You’ve probably heard all about the H1N1 flu virus (aka “Swine Flu”) in the news lately. Back in 1918, the H1N1 had another name … the Spanish Influenza. That’s right — the very same illness Edward Cullen was dying of when Carlisle found him and turned him into a vampire.
The Spanish Influenza outbreak was a global outbreak — from 1918 to 1920. It killed as many as 100,000,000 people worldwide.

7 things you need to know about ‘New Moon’ Wolf Alex Meraz by Celebuzz. Some pretty interesting facts about this one. So check it out.

HE’S GONE FROM ‘NEW WORLD’ TO ‘NEW MOON’: Meraz’s first big film was New World as one of the Powhatan core warriors. “That’s kind of where he got the bug,” says fellow New World cast member Trujillo. “It was an incredible experience.”
Meraz was in the running, but was turned down for Apocalypto: ”Mel felt he didn’t look Mayan enough, which was silly.” says Trujillo who was cast. “I don’t look Mayan either, but they put a prosthetic nose on me and I looked plenty Mayan.”
Larry Carroll will be covering Las Vegas Showest 2009.
Welcome to ShoWest, the annual convention in Las Vegas where theater owners, studios and journalists come to meet up and talk about all the big films of the next few months. I’ve already taken some pictures of all the various posters, from the best (“Terminator Salvation” has a really badass standee) to the worst (Nia Vardalos in a quasi-sequel to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” a half-decade too late?) to the uneventful (the “New Moon” poster is so plain that I found it over in a corner of the hallway, leaning against the wall virtually unnoticed).

“Every time I made a mistake, I kept looking over,” Bradley tells Celebuzz. “At one point I walked off-stage and just started laughing.” Bradley was playing the cover of “Man’s World” by James Brown, ran into some problems and left the stage to pick up his folder. He looked up at Pattinson hanging out in the stage wings, out-of-sight. “I just started laughing,” says Bradley. “And he was just smiling back.”

2. So it’s not true?
Well, I do sometimes. I used to a lot more before and then … I only look at the negative stuff. I just want to know whoever’s saying negative stuff, and I just want to remember their names. I write it all down in my black book. [Laughs]
From Model to Meatworker, Stuffs.co.nz has an article on Nina Schubert, Rob’s old girlfriend.
She has lived most of her life in London. She went to school there with Robert Pattinson, who lived around the corner and they ended up at the same drama school.
“Rob is still a really good friend of mine. He’s hopefully going to come here, if he can get a break from working. I gave him my paintings when we lived together in London. Now he’s commissioned me to paint one for him and I’m working on it.
“I do really big abstract canvases, influenced by geometric patterns like chessboards and latticework, mainly black and white. I’m interested in optical illusions.”

MTV has an article stating that Catherine Hardwicke won’t be returning to ‘Twilight’ franchise.
“I think it’s healthier to have a new person do [each one],” explained Hardwicke, who was recently replaced for the sequel “New Moon” but had some fans holding out hope she might return for the upcoming “Eclipse” or “Breaking Dawn” films. “I’ve loved all the different directors that did the ‘Harry Potter’ [films], because each one had their own cool style and energy, so I think that’s good. And I’m moving on to other projects.”

Celebuzz has an article about Bobby Long recalling the times with Robert before Twilight.

In this entry, it was reported that Kristen and Taylor was at Tofino. Now, Westcoaster.ca has an interesting article.
“The weather is perfect for us: rainy, dismal, in the sense of the visuals, the mist on the ocean, the cloudiness, the erratic wind activity,” said Bill Bannerman, New Moon’s co-producer. “Everything is exactly what it should be.”
Cast members Kristin Stewart, who plays Isabella Swan, and Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, arrived in Tofino by bus Thursday.
Poor weather prevented them from flying directly to Tofino from Vancouver. So they flew to Nanaimo and drove west across Vancouver Island.
Under rainy, gray skies, filming kicked off Thursday afternoon at the rugged and rocky South Beach, located near Wickaninnish Beach inside Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.
Cast and crew returned to South Beach Friday morning, before moving to Incinerator Rock at Long Beach, where Parks Canada closed down a parking lot popular with surfers for movie crews.
Bannerman said the crew needed to shoot a couple of scenes that would bridge the story’s second act and show the characters evolving personalities and relationships.
In conclusion, it was mentioned that filming will wrap up only at the end of May and the movie, as we all know, will hit theaters in November 20th in the US. If you missed out on our entry regarding New Moon’s release date in Singapore, check it out here!
