Breaking Dawn News – Carter Burwell wrote music for Edward to play in BD Part 2

We’re soo happyto hear this news!
Carter Burwell first tweeted it
and now his website has confirmed it!
*sigh* We’ll just have to wait 2 years to see Edward perform this… November 2012.
Breaking Dawn News – Carter Burwell is coming back for BD !!!

YES!! He is coming back! Carter Burwell will be at the helm of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn!!
From The Playlist:

Coen Brothers and Spike Jonze regular collaborator Carter Burwell is set to return to the ‘Twilight’ since working on the first film to perform scoring duties for the final installment of the series, the two parter “Twilight: Breaking Dawn.” Burwell has an existing relationship with the director of the final two parts, Bill Condon, having collaborated on “Kinsey” and “Gods And Monsters” and will return to the position after Alexandre Desplat followed him for “New Moon” with Howard Shore stepping in for “Eclipse.” Shooting began this past November with all major cast members such as Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Michael Sheen, Anna Kendrick and Ashley Greene reprising their roles. The two parts will be shot as one project and will then be respectively released on November 18th, 2011 and November 16th, 2012.
The score that he created for Twilight is forever etched in our minds and hearts especially after watching it more than 20 times on the big screen! You’ll know it anywhere and can place it exactly in the Twilight
or rather you are brought to that particular scene and you can feel the emotions at play through the music. Try it – its fun!
The music illustrated and enhanced the emotional content in the movie and Mr. Burwell did a fantastic job! We could not imagine Twilight without its amazing music score & soundtrack. CAN’T WAIT!!!

The London Free Press did an interview with Rachelle Lefevre sometime last month and only published it recently. Among others she answered questions about her role as the vengeful vampire Victoria; Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and rumours of the Kristen & Rob ‘romance’.

Rob & Kristen -
“They have fantastic chemistry together on-screen and you know that’s the kind of thing that becomes the source of rumours,” Lefevre says.
Working with Different Directors -
“It could have been bad,” Lefevre admits. “But I think because Harry Potter went through it first to their benefit, we were like, ‘The Potter kids went through a director shift and they were OK, so we’ll be OK, too.’
“And we were. Chris came in with such a clear idea of what the movie was. And he paid respect to what had come before — so it was kind of seamless.”
A third transition will happen later this year in Vancouver when another director, David Slade (30 Days of Night), takes the reins of the next sequel Eclipse.
“It’s perfect timing for David because Eclipse is darker than the other two. There’s more action. It’s not a horror movie, but it is darker.”
As we all know Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are starring in a movie together called Warrior. Film photographer Peter Arpaia has great movie stills in his website. Wow! Both of them look soo good! Can’t wait to check this movie out!

Fans of Carter Burwell will be disappointed by this piece of news - Carter Burwell will not be composing New Moon score. According to the FAQ page from his website:
Will you work on the sequels to Twilight?
As I understand it, the director of New Moon, Chris Weitz, has hired Alexandre Desplat to composer the music for the film. Desplat composed the music for Weitz’ earlier film The Golden Compass. I don’t know if they’ll use any of my themes from Twilight, such as “Bella’s Lullaby”.
Pillow Biters (Oooh Pillow – does it ring a bell?) has exclusives behind-the-scenes pictures. It’s nothing much but you can see those familiar flags in the cafeteria’s window.

Access Hollywood has another great video of Alex Meraz. He talks about life on the set of New Moon. Thanks Rachel for sending this to us!
