WOOOOT!! We just got confirmation that MediaCorp’s Channel 5 will again be the Official TV Station for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 !
Ever since ‘Twilight’ in 2008, Channel 5 has been promoting the Twilight Saga Series by screening ‘the Making of ‘ featurettes for each of the films, trailers, interstitials and has even had EXCLUSIVE interviews with our favourite Vegetarian Vampires, Wolves and of course the Volturis. They have sent Utt to interview the cast and who could forget when Sezairi serenaded Kristen Stewart. Kristen was speechless!! Thank you Channel 5!

The Teen Choice Awards 2010 was recorded tonight and will be broadcasted tomorrow on the FOX Network at 8/7 Pm Central in the US (that’s about 8 AM Singapore Time, Tuesday August 10th) We’ve checked Starhub’s FOX Channel 505 schedule for the week but the TCAs were not listed.
So for now, we are not sure that it’ll be broadcasted on air here in Sin at all. We’ll keep you updated if we hear wind of it – and if you do – give us a tinkle!

Eclipse News – Moviefone’s Twilight Night VIDEO/ The Making of Eclipse’s Fight Scenes
On Saturday night there were Twilight Events all over the US. Some fans watched Twilight & New Moon under the star especially with the Lunar Eclipse – it would have been a magical Twilight night. Cast members of the Eclipse dropped by these events and spent time with the fans.

Johnathan Eusebio has the job to coordinate the fight scenes in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. LA Times has this interview with him.
The Canadian-born son of two nurses, Eusebio moved to California as a third-grader and took up taekwondo, boxing, judo and several other martial arts a few years later. “When I was growing up, I used to watch a lot of Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung,” Eusebio said. “Hung is one of Jackie’s seniors, and he’s a famous martial artist in Hong Kong and China. The way I see choreography is influenced by those guys.”
Lively up yourself: While the previous “Twilight” installments may have been more focused on emotions, the third movie packs a real punch. “It wasn’t a fight-intensive series to begin with, but the third one is starting to get a lot of battles,” Eusebio said “There’s a big sequence when the Cullens have to train for fighting [another group of] vampires. There’s a big charge at the end where the Cullens have to fight all the newborn vampires. And then there’s a big scene where Edward has to fend off Victoria and her new lover Riley. So this movie has a lot of action going on in there.”
Art versus life: Eusebio calls film fighting “an entirely differently monster than actual, real fighting. It’s the same basics, but the movement and the philosophy of the movement are different. In film fighting, it looks like there’s contact, but there’s no contact. You want to hide your movements in real fighting. In movie fighting, you have to make everything long so the camera can see it as well as the audience. It’s like choreography, like a dance between the two combatants.”
Supersize it: Vampires present their own set of challenges. “You want to keep everything kind of realistic in tone to avoid making it look too superhero-ish, but the thing is they are superhuman,” Eusebio said. “Everything is exaggerated. So when they throw someone, the impacts are huge. When they chase somebody, they’re super fast. When they jump, they jump a little higher. We try to do creative camera work; we try to do wires; and we might have to use visual and special effects to help us out.”

2010 MTV Movie Awards
Its the time of the MTV Movie Awards again! The Hangover, New Moon, Avatar lead 2010 MTV Movi Awards nomination. And this time The Twilight Saga: New Moon dominates with 5 nominations, excluding Kristen, Robert and Taylor are nominated under the category ‘Global Superstar’!
Well, “Twilight” fans, you’ve done it again.
Thanks to Twilighters’ undying love (and constant voting), “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” has five nominations at this year’s MTV Movie Awards: Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Kristen Stewart), Best Male Performance (Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner), Best Kiss (Stewart and Pattinson) and Global Superstar (a new category this year for which Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner are all nominated). “New Moon” came in just behind “The Hangover,” which scored six nods.
In the coveted Best Kiss category, Stewart and Pattinson will defend their title against some familiar and interesting competition. They’ll face Lautner, who is nominated for his kiss with Taylor Swift in “Valentine’s Day,” and Stewart will compete against herself for her kiss with Dakota Fanning in “The Runaways” (other kissing couples include Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds for “The Proposal” and Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, for “Avatar”).
Fitting with the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob rivalry, Pattinson and Lautner will also go head-to-head in the Best Male Performance category (with Channing Tatum in “Dear John,” Daniel Radcliffe in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and Zac Efron in “17 Again” rounding out the rest of the nominees in that category).

Kristen Stewart Scores Two Best Kiss Nods for MTV Movie Awards
KStew is not only nominated for her steamy kiss with Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” but she could also win for her girly lip-lock with Dakota Fanning in “The Runaways.” Stewart has been quite the busy girl this year!
When MTV News caught up with the star last year, we asked which big-screen co-star was the better kisser: RPattz’s Edward Cullen or Fanning’s Cherie Currie. “Cherie, yeah,” Stewart laughed.
Nikki Reed Calls ‘New Moon’ MTV Movie Awards Nods ‘Wonderful’
“I mean, it’s wonderful — [especially] when you make a movie and you have absolutely zero expectations,” she told MTV News at the Young Hollywood Awards on Thursday night. Reed added that the cast had no idea that the “Twilight” phenomenon would resonate so strongly and passionately with their fans.
“When we made ‘Twilight,’ none of us knew what it was going to become. There’s inevitably a certain amount of pressure going back,” she continued. “You want to make sure the second one is just as good, so I guess we’re all really happy and relieved. All the actors love the books and the movies just as much as the fans.”

Don’t get too excited cos its not that big – I’ve put it on closeup. Its a little larger than a credit card and the mini film strip contains 4 images film cell which is mounted between 2 cards and protected by a plastic sheet.

Lastly, Alliance Entertainment has informed us that they will be releasing the Film Cells in the Singapore market in 2 months so maybe you guys can buy another DVD to get a different version of the Film Cell?!

Metro News interviewed young actor, Cameron Bright for his role of Alec in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
“They’re the leaders of the vampire nation, the ones who enforce the laws. And if you’re a leader you have to make difficult decisions, sometimes, and you have to be strong… and feared.”
And fear is what the Volturi trade in. Bright’s Alec is at first glance, an almost cherubic figure, but one who wields the lethal ability to completely shut off his victims’ senses, rendering them virtual vegetables. It’s just another novel re-imagining of an iconic monster — the vampire — that has caused both the Twilight books and the films to be controversial amongst purists.
Daniel Cudmore, who plays Felix, was interviewed by Studio 39 for his role in the Twilight Saga films.
MTV Movies Blog was at one of the New Moon DVD release party where Nikki Reed and director, Chris Weitz has made an appearance.
“I like to go to Wal-Mart to hold press conferences just at odd moments, so this is not my first time,” Weitz joked when he spoke with MTV News at the event. “But usually people don’t show up with cameras. I’m just talking to an imaginary microphone.”
“The first question I always get asked is, ‘Did you feel a lot of pressure coming in doing the second movie of the franchise,’ ” said Weitz. “And I actually didn’t even think about that until people started asking me.”
Weitz has made a point not to claim the series as his own. Even after the popularity of “New Moon,” he repeatedly said he would not return to direct the final film(s),“Breaking Dawn.” Still, he acknowledged his role in making the series reach an even higher level of popularity.

“I was trying to ask them earlier today, and they wouldn’t give me anything,” she said. “But all the directors that you mentioned, I mean, that would be fantastic, both [Van Sant and Coppola]. Either one. I mean, we would be honored.”

Fear.net has managed to asked Ashley Greene about Alice Cullen’s role in Eclipse! Exclusive: Ashley Greene on ‘Twilight: Eclipse’ and Bullying Taylor Lautner
You got to tear off a vampire’s head in Twilight and face off with the Volturi in New Moon. What can you tell us about the things you get to do in Eclipse, which we know from the book will have more of a fighting element?
The thing I’ll say about Twilight is, one, it’s given me this Hollywood crash course and I’ve been able to work with three great directors. And also, my character is an incredible character to break out with because she’s perky and happy and sweet, and she’s this best friend character that everybody loves, so it’s an amazing first character to have. Throughout the series you’ve gotten to see her go from really sweet to kind of sassy, and now in the third one we get to showcase this massive fight sequence that I’m a part of, so we got to get our action star fix. You get to see Alice get kind of down and dirty and see a really intense side of her that maybe you haven’t seen before.

In the books Felix seemed to have a sort of minor flirtation with Bella – winking at her, etc. What’s your take on that?
I think it’s more of him showing his power over her and kind of messing around with her head. Letting her know that he could end things very quickly. He enjoys that.Sadly, we don’t see much of the Volturi in New Moon because it serves as more of an introduction to their coven than in later books, when the Volturi have more of a presence. How much can we expect to see of you in Eclipse?
It’s not as much. You get to Eclipse and you’re introducing Riley’s storyline, Victoria coming back to get her vengeance. We’re still there and we still have a strong presence, and it’s not more dramatic but it’s still a really cool storyline.

Stewart turned to her. “You’re gonna be in the movie.”

Q: How closely did you work with Meyer?
A: With each movie, we’ve gotten closer. … On the first movie, I kept my process private. But then as I got to know her, I realized that was completely unnecessary, because she is incredibly collaborative, fluid and not precious about her work … With “New Moon,” she read all the drafts, but with “Eclipse,” I asked her to read the outline, which was very unusual. It’s very risky. It’s very early. That’s where I do a great deal of my work. … That’s when you’re structuring the story and deciding what’s in, what’s out, what’s invented, all that.

MTV Movies blog has an interview with ‘New Moon’ director, Chris Weitz where he reveled 5 secrets regarding the film.
Why So Torn Up, Edward?: At one point in the film, Pattinson’s Edward Cullen appears in a ripped T-shirt, but we never learn why. So … what the heck happened?
“What it’s supposed to be is that he’s essentially been wearing the same clothes for several months, and that eventually they’ve just worn out because, as you I’m sure know, his body is like stone. So he must’ve rubbed up against something and it ripped,” Weitz said.
