Two of the Twilight/New Moon cast were at the 67th Golden Globes earlier today. Taylor Lautner was presenting ’500 Days of Summer’ a film nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Film in Comedy/Musical category and Anna Kendrick who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Drama for ‘Up In The Air’.

The New Moon DVD date is official! On Sat, 3/20 be the first to get the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD or Special Edition Blu-Ray!
The Twilight’s store at Amazon.com had these images of the cover which we posted a few days ago.
Can’t wait!!! We’ll try to find out when it’s coming out in Singapore and let you guys know asap! And from what we learnt last year there were many versions that actually came out in the US. Luckily, in Singapore Alliance Entertainment had the complete DVD for us!!
Hopefully we’ll able to do what we did last year!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon will finish its run in the cinemas soon and Twilight Singapore would like the fans to join in for the final screening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon!

Collider.com caught up with Peter Facinelli during his TV press tour and set him down to talk Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and Nurse Jackie.
Although Peter Facinelli was at the current Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour to promote the upcoming second season of his hit Showtime series, Nurse Jackie (premiering on March 22nd) following the panel presentation, talk immediately turned to his other role, as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, in the Twilight Saga films.
The Cullen patriarch talked about his larger role in Eclipse, which is his favorite book in the series, filming in Vancouver while also working on “Nurse Jackie” in New York, and how he’ll probably learn the status of Breaking Dawn on the internet before he gets the phone call about it from the studio. Question: Does Carlisle have a lot to do in Eclipse?
PETER FACINELLI: Yes, he does a lot. A lot more than the first two films, for sure. You know, what I like about the third movie is that you get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. You actually get to see what his vampire capabilities are because there’s some great battle sequences. It’s my favorite book.
When do you hear about Breaking Dawn?
FACINELLI: I don’t know. Usually the fans know before I do, so I’m sure I’ll see it on the internet before I get the phone call.
How do Twilight fans relate to you?
FACINELLI: What’s great is that, because I look so different from Carlisle, they’ve gotten to know me in a different way than Carlisle is. I’ve had this fan base go and look at some of the other work I’ve done and see how vastly different that work is. It’s fun for me that I don’t look like Carlisle and I’m not anything like him, so when people do meet me, they’re not confusing me at all with Carlisle.
What kind of doctor is Carlisle?
FACINELLI: Carlisle is the head of the hospital in Forks.
Is he good?
FACINELLI: He’s great. Carlisle, because he’s been around for so long, is very well educated. What I love about him is that he has a real love for humanity. People always ask me what kind of research I did to play a vampire. I say, “I did very little to play a vampire because I’m playing a vampire who’s trying to be human.” My research was more about what it is to be human and why he loved humanity so much that made him want to hold onto that. When you look at something like Twilight, the good vampires aren’t necessarily good. They’re just eccentric. The bad vampires are just doing what they’re born to do and made to do. It’s like domesticating a lion. For me, Carlisle doesn’t want to be a vampire, so he’s just really holding onto that humanity.

Twilight Examiner’s Amanda Bell has an exclusive interview with Tyson Houseman who plays Quil Ateara in The Twilight Saga: New Moon & The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Houseman took the time to speak to me about that fact, as well as his work in the Twilight series films.
For starters, Houseman revealed that there really was some coalescence between the on-screen relationship between he and his wolfpack co-stars and that which existed off-screen.
Said he, “The relationship between myself and my cast members really did reflect the relationship of the characters, because when we filmed New Moon, I was the only character who was not yet part of the wolfpack, and so I had a different shooting schedule and different costume work and hair and make up etc. While we all became friends, I still did not get to see the rest of the guys as much as they did, and so they all had a bit more of a bonding experience than I did. Although during the filming of Eclipse, my character is part of the pack and so I got to spend a lot more time with the guys.”
Houseman revealed that, in staying true to himself, his real passion is in the world of arts, generally. Houseman talked about his background and current involvement in the arts, saying that he’d been “drawing and painting since [he] was a little kid.” “All throughout grade school, my notebooks had more doodles in them than actual notes. Art is an extremely important part of my life. I see art everywhere and in everything. I think that’s why I also enjoy photography so much, because I can find a certain type of beauty in everything that I see, and I need to capture that beauty. But as an artist, I try to be as ranged as possible. Acting is an art and it is also something I really enjoy. After I went to the open casting call for New Moon and got the part, I felt that an amazing opportunity was given to me, and how could I turn that down? This has opened up so many doors for me, and I plan on following through with it,” Houseman continued.
Being a part of the Twilight franchise, too, has offered Houseman a bit of heritage-based pride. “It makes me really proud of the fact that they were so specific about casting actors with Native backgrounds,” he said.

OKAY! so i won a contest, from Twilight’s official twitter.. so i’ve been communicating via phone and email with Summit Entertainment as to when the phone call will take place depending on availability.. and today was the day of the phone call!!
Chris said he was glad I won the contest and that he really enjoyed my questions! =]]
the following, due to demand and my own desire, are my questions and Chris Weitz’s answers! (some parts are paraphrased)
How nerve-racking was it to know you had to relocate several location for New Moon?
A.) It was really nerve-racking because I thought people would notice and be upset, it was a puzzle to get it just right. The outside of the school is all CGI, we built the stairway for the school and took stills. In the Cullen’s house I also tried to show different rooms in the house to add to the feeling of the house. When Taylor was traveling during Twilight a fan gave him a hand-carved Native American ornament. We used that ornament in Jacob’s room in New Moon.
How did you decide to shoot the scene where the months are passing by, considering the books only name the months that pass?
A.) We originally thought we could use a blank screen with names of the months passing but felt that it was best to portray depression visually. CGI was used and the windows were covered by green screen. We used a robotic camera for revolvement to mimic the original hand camera as much as possible. I’m not sure if you noticed but with each revolvement the room changes, there are less pictures of her friends and the room gets more sparse.
I really enjoyed the added scene with Victoria swimming towards Bella. (The book hints to the orange colour the water was reflecting, in a later revelation by Bella.) How did this scene come to be?
A.) Well, the orange coloured water wouldn’t have looked right in the scene so we put her in the water visibly. That scene was difficult because we wanted to film her swimming towards Bella but it had to be at a distance. If it wasn’t at a distance fans would wonder why Victoria didn’t just get her in that short scene, but at the same time it had to feel threatening. That was all shot in Vancouver in a swimming pool, we had the actors underwater with four or five frog men with air tubes for security purposes. We also had green screens in the water surrounding the actors so we could CGI in all the particals in the water. Theres actually a program to add in all of the floating debris and colour differences in the water after filming. Kristen had a cold at the time and was scared of drowning. We had to force her to stay in the water [laughter] But Rob was more comfortable in the water, hes had to shoot underwater scenes in the past. [Harry Potter]

Sometime in 2010, one hopes, the official announcement that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is greenlit will be released. At this point, fans have no doubt that the film will be made, but whatever the hold-up may be, it hasn’t happened yet. Of course, it’s probably just a matter of time . . . At any rate, the day that the official announcement comes will be a fantastic one for fans of the Twilight series. Until then, we wait with bated breath . . . and speculate whether it’ll be one or two films.

CG Society has an article on how Tippett Studio has made the wolves in New Moon.
The book described the wolves as having eerily human eyes. “We were told early on that they literally they wanted us to plop the actors eyes into wolf, which always sounds like a good idea on paper but it does not work visually,” said Fredenburg, “so we had to play how much to accentuate them as human eyes and how much to push them towards wolf eyes.

Brand new Fender Telecaster signed by ultra hot Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) from the Twilight movie series. Rob happened to be shopping for instruments at Norm’s Rare Guitars and Norm (a great friend of The Midnight Mission), asked him if he’d sign a guitar that could be auctioned off to support the services of the charity. Rob was gracious enough to say yes and do it. This terrifically talented actor and singer/musician even consented to have his picture taken with the signed instrument. I didn’t post it here, but have it’s available for authentication (believe it or not this humble actor is a bit camera shy when not at work). Get this now!! I have seen tons of signed pictures and posters, but not a Fender guitar. And as you real fans know, Robert is an excellent musician – he plays piano, guitar and sings! So it’s a winner – a great and unique gift for you or someone you love and you help people who don’t always feel loved.

New Moon Lights The Way to stardom for Ashley Greene:
New Moon star Ashley Greene is still getting a grip on her rise to fame — but with a full slate of upcoming projects, she’s making sure her career extends beyond vampires and werewolves.
“Instantly we have this fan base, instantly we have these careers and people know who we are,” says the actress, 22, who likened the rush to “instant happiness. … People now actually care about what projects I’m in.”
Greene was 17 when she moved to Los Angeles from Florida after graduating high school a semester early, and now, after being cast as prescient vampire Alice Cullen in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire romance series, Greene’s visibility has skyrocketed. In addition to the release of Twilight: Eclipse June 30, Greene has two additional wrapped films under her belt.

CNA’S PrimeTime Morning, ‘ZOOM IN’ Reviews The Twilight Saga: New Moon!!
Okay we have contacted Channel News Asia’s PrimeTime Morning to check if they will be reviewing The Twilight Saga: New Moon the movie and The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack because they did so last year.
And yes they are – so fans brace yourselves – and watch ‘Zoom In’ Tomorrow ( [edited] FRIDAY 4 DECEMBER) from 830 am onwards. If you wanna read Twilight’s review on ‘Zoom In’ last year , click here.
They are not reviewing The Soundtrack yet … but we’ll keep on checking and let you guys know.

NEW MOON NEWS – New Moon Box Office Update
“I think that anytime you have a film like ‘Twilight’ in there– like when ‘The Dark Knight’ [hit theaters], it came in with ‘Mamma Mia,’ [which] did really well… as sort of a counter-programming, and both films just took off. And that’s what you’re seeing with ['New Moon' and 'The Blind Side'],” Bock said.
“Sometimes you get big films… and it creates sort of a box office tsunami, it just breeds moviegoers,” he continued. “[There was a time that a studio] would say, ”Twilight”s opening, let’s not even release our film on that date.’ But that’s becoming less and less traditional now. even if there is a huge film that you know is going to do big business, sometimes you’ll put your film out there and you’ll… feed off of the hype. it just creates a general excitement about going to the movies.”
The film, which has started a so-called ‘New Moon Syndrome’, has also been faring well on the foreign circuit, making a first-place bow in various countries such as North America, Europe and South America.
After creating history at the box office with record collection of 140.7 million dollar in the US, ‘New Moon’, the second in the ‘Twilight Saga’ films, is all set to hit Indian screens on December 4.
‘New Moon’ will be released in India on 300 screens by PVR Pictures.
The release on 300 prints makes it one of the largest release for a Hollywood film in the country.
Sources in PVR Pictures said ‘New Moon’, second part of the saga, will be released in India with over 300 prints and for the first time, PVR Pictures will be releasing the movie in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu as well.
Titled ‘Amavasya’ in Telugu and ‘Digilan’ in Tamil, ‘New Moon’ has achieved milestones never seen before.
The movie has created a worldwide history by achieving No.1 position through its box office collections.
The significance of New Moon’s heavyweight performance – it’s grossed $474m worldwide in less than two weeks – cannot be understated. At a time when the independent sector is overcrowded and perilous, a success story like this provides a welcome boost to everyone. Producers, financiers and distributors will remain committed when they are reminded that there is the potential for quality non-studio fare to deliver the kind of blockbuster results that we’re used to seeing from the Warner Bros and Sonys of this world.It’s a similar story overseas, too. Summit’s well established international sales division licensed rights to New Moon all over the world and the movie’s runaway success sends out a message to international distributors that independent cinema made at a price with high-value elements (cast, script, director, production values) can prosper. It’s a message that goes a long way towards sustaining a vibrant international marketplace, which is vital in these uncertain times.
