We have confirmation from Alliance Entertainment SG that Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVD will be coming out on February 11, the same date as the US!
Furthermore, Alliance Entertainment will be giving away a movie poster if you buy the DVD and a mug if you buy the Blu-ray. Both giveaways are while stocks last!

Answer to Week 4′s Question:
The discussion is Edward wanted Jacob who is the true Alpha and Ephraim’s heir to give Edward the permission to deviate from what Edward’s family have agreed to in their treaty with Ephraim. Edward wanted to Jacob to grant them an exception and give him the permission to save Bella’s life. Edward will do it even if Jacob does not give him the permission but he did not want to go back on his word if it can be avoided. Edward’s family never wanted to break the treaty and they do not do it likely. Edward wanted Jacob’s understanding because Jacob knew the reason why they have do this. Edward wanted the alliance between their families to carry on after this.
Jacob let Edward know from his thoughts that he should talk to Sam about this and not him. Edward told Jacob that Sam’s authority is assumed but Edward knew that Jacob wouldn’t take Sam’s authority away. Edward said that only Jacob has the right to agree to what he is asking. Jacob let Edward know from his thoughts that he couldn’t make the decision. Edward said that Jacob knew that he could make the decision and Jacob’s word on this could condemn or absolve them. Edward said that only Jacob can give this to him. From Jacob’s thoughts, he said that he doesn’t know and couldn’t think.
Edward said that they don’t have the time. Jacob knows that his few days have become a few hours but he said he doesn’t know and wanted Edward to give him a minute to think. Edward said yes and that is the end of their discussion about Bella.
Edward has to ask for permission because he does not want to go back on their word from what they have agreed in their treaty with Ephraim but he have to save Bella’s life so he wanted to ask for Jacob’s permission to allow him to save Bella’s life so that their alliance would be able to carry on after he have saved Bella.

Breaking Dawn News – Breaking Dawn Part 1 Production Designer Talks to ‘Architectural Digest’ About Isle Esme House & the various sets in the movie

We first saw the images of the Isle Esme house over a year ago and we posted pictures of the ‘House in Paraty’ because there were rumors circling that the house was going to be used in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 – and we thought it was perfect! And it was !
Architectural Digest Magazine has recently interviewed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1′s Production Designer , Richard Sherman and asked how he did his job in preparing the scenes in the movie.
AD: Did you change anything about the house?
RS: For the movie we actually created our own exterior—what’s visible when you approach the house by boat—in the visual effects department. What you see of the real house is the front door, the steps leading up to it, the veranda, and all those glass doors. I loved the interior. We made a big open kitchen and living room. Some of the scenes that take place inside the house were actually shot on soundstages in Louisiana, where we created a courtyard, a bathroom, and the bedroom where Edward and Bella spend their wedding night. It was a seamless set—you really couldn’t tell the difference between the house and our stages.
Sherman and his team re-created Edward and Bella’s fictional honeymoon destination, Isle Esme, on Saco do Mamanguá, a remote tropical fjord near Paraty, Brazil, accessible only by boat or helicopter. The house was designed by Thiago Bernardes of the architecture firm Bernardes + Jacobsen and was featured in the January 2011 issue of Architectural Digest.
A number of the scenes that take place inside the Brazil beach house were actually shot on sets—a bedroom, bathroom, and courtyard—built on a Louisiana soundstage. The production team’s challenge was to create a seamless transition between the house and the sets. “We see Edward and Bella arrive at the house at night,” Sherman says. “Then she walks through the living room, and the scene cuts to our set. You can’t tell the difference. It looks like a part of that house.” Photo: Andrew Cooper
Pivoting glass doors along the veranda span the entire length of the house, allowing breezes to pass through, while the double-height ceiling adds to the feeling of openness. Everything about the design is intended to enhance the architecture’s integration with the surrounding landscape.
Sherman also gave the Volturi castle—home to Aro (Michael Sheen, center) and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower)—a new look for Breaking Dawn—Part 1. “That was fun for me as a production designer because we started with a big empty stage and ended up with a medieval castle.” But fans will have to wait until Part 2 comes out, in 2012, to see it fully. “Though we didn’t show too much of it in the first movie, you’ll see a lot of it in the second,” Sherman says.
AD: Were some of the sets recycled from previous movies, or are they all new?
RS: Bella’s house is the same. But we rebuilt the whole three-story set of the Cullen house in Louisiana on a soundstage, and we remade its exterior in the woods of Vancouver. We changed the interior decoration of the Cullen house subtly but completely. If you remember the original house well, you’ll notice that it is completely different. This has the same tone, but it’s a lot prettier. The other huge change is the castle of the Volturi, a group of vampires from the Roman Empire. The sets from the other movies kind of looked like—no offense to those art directors—the Four Seasons Hotel, with marble columns and sconces. So we built an old castle on stage.
AD: Basically the whole series has been building toward Bella and Edward’s wedding. What was your approach to designing such a momentous scene?
RS: The way Stephenie has written it in the book, it’s a very pretty wedding—it has the white path and the white chairs that are covered in white fabric. But Bill [Condon, the film’s director] and I thought, How can we make this truly special and unique? For the people who know the books and movies, this is the wedding of the century. So we created this very organic, whimsical, fairy tale–like atmosphere—A Midsummer Night’s Dream kind of thing—with benches and seating made of branches that came out of the ground and were covered in moss and flowers. The whole forest floor was covered in moss. The ceiling was dripping flowers.

Just remembering all our reactions when we first saw Bella’s Wedding Dress – our jaws were on the floor as we were following the camera as it went lower and lower .. XD The silhouette shows off Bella’s curves and the satin glimmers with every movement. A masterpiece.

Hello! I’m Tan Sin Nee and I was the lucky winner of the recent The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 SMS contest on Channel 5! I was flown to Los Angeles to attend the premiere of the latest Twilight movie and I’m here to share my experience with all of you!
First of all, a very big Thank You to Shaw Organisation and Channel 5 for giving me this chance to go to Los Angeles, for this very rare and once-in-a-lifetime experience to see my favourite stars from The Twilight Saga.
The awesome fans. The huge crowd of the media there. And then we were being ushered again into a VIP area of our own to join in the red carpet frenzy! We waited there for 1 hour or so before the stars started arriving and the fandom started! Screaming everywhere, boards and posters and signs full of the stars’ names were held high up in the air. It was the greatest atmosphere ever!!

The Preparation for our White Wedding Reception (with a bit of red) for Breaking Dawn: Forever & Always
Flowers on a stick (recycled from the New Moon Fiesta Volturi flags) cos we couldn’t afford to replicate Stephenie Meyer & Bill Condon’s flowers & gossamer ribbons and of course the Wedding Arch in the movie. So Izzati came up with this , inspired by this wedding aisle.
We decided to make a 3 tier cake for Edward & Bella’s Reception instead of the giant one Alice did. 
Its a fake cake made up of styrofoam and white jumping clay with plastic pearls individually embedded on the tiers as well as three different types of silk flowers. Thanks to a volunteer – April who figured out how to smoothen out the jumping clay so it’d look like icing. We wanted to use real fondant made out of marshmallows but it wouldn’t be practical in our weather.

Pictures of ‘Firsts’ were pasted all around Merpati Hall to commemorate some of the notable events when this 2 people first met. For example – First Sight : The First Time Bella saw Edward in the school cafeteria, First Kiss : “I just wanna try one thing”, First Rescue: the first time Edward saves Bella .. you get the drift.

Players have to quickly get into their designated groups – Team Porsche, Team Aston Martin, Team Volvo & Team Chevrolet – break the ice and create a strategy on how to win! A team member would pick a name from the bag, shout it out loud, pass to their team-mate who will run to the 3rd team member who will paste the name to the sticky board.

At 730 pm last night we were at LIDO 1 along with hundreds of guests to watch The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn at the Gala Premiere! We were all present except for Izzati who had to sit for her exams exactly at the same time. She was with us in spirit
IT.WAS.AMAZING!!!!!!
Suffice to say all fans of the book will be SATISFIED!
The highlight of the evening apart from the movie of course was there was a LIVE Bella & Edward at LIDO – complete with a tux & flowy wedding dress!
Here ‘Edward’ is professing his love for ‘Bella’ and later kissed her on the forehead. The crowd howled! xD

Our Gala Door Gift

We just came back from the exclusive premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and we are still fawning over it!!! Fans of the book, you will definitely not be disappointed!! Thank you Bill Condon for directing the movie and making us fans relived the characters and the scenes as what we would like it to be!
Watching it once will not satiate our thirst as we definitely would like to watch it over, and over and over again!!
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 opens in Singapore on 24 November and don’t forget to watch it!
