Eclipse News – International Eclipse Promotion tour

May 31: Sydney, Australia. Kristen and Taylor will be present for a Q&A event in Luna Park. The event will be run by Richard Wilkins but will be broadcast live via satellite from Sydney’s Luna Park into selected Hoyts cinemas.
June 3: Seoul, Korea. Kristen and Taylor are slated to arrive on the 2nd; Pan Cinema has announced a press conference, a “red carpet appearance”, and a fan meet and greet at a special meeting on June 3rd.

June 17: Rome, Italy. Eagle Pictures confirmed, via its web site today, that Kristen and Taylor are now set for an appearance in Rome. Few additional details are available .
June 21: Stockholm, Sweden. The official twilight web site in Sweden announced that Taylor and Kristen would visit Stockholm on June 21st. Though a media press conference has been announced, details of any fan events have not been definitively confirmed.
June 28. Madrid, Spain. According to Aurum Producciones, Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel are slated to appear in Madrid to promote “Eclipse”. Already scheduled are a press conference and a session for fans to meet the actors.
Berlin, Germany. The final city that has been mentioned as part of the European tour is Berlin Germany, though no date has been confirmed.
Due to Rob’s shooting schedule for “Water for Elephants”, he will be absent for most “Eclipse” promo engagements that take place far outside of LA. In contrast to the “New Moon” promotion, which featured the three principal stars heavily, for “Eclipse” Kristen and Taylor will mostly be on their own.

EDWARD CULLEN! Of course lah!
“Maybe Edward would not be the best boyfriend,” Meyer told EW in 2008, “because he’s such a tortured soul. But you also couldn’t just be his friend because he’s terribly sexy and charismatic.”
Added Pattinson: “If you played it straight-out-manic-depressive, every young girl watching would have been like, ‘Um, I don’t know about that.’So I tried to make it as much as possible like a 17-year old guy who had this purgatory inflicted on him.”

NME (a UK based Music Magazine) has a great article about the Eclipse Original Movie Soundtrack : ‘Twilight’ Soundtrack compilers reveal how they pick bands.
Music supervisors Paul Katz and Alexandra Patsavas have claimed that choosing songs from big artists, plus smaller acts such as Fanfarlo and Bombay Bicycle Club, doesn’t stem from an attempt to cash in on bands’ cool factors.
“We have forward-thinking directors and they have a progressive music taste,” Patsavas said. “It’s completely natural.”
Patsavas said an important factor was the tone of each scene. “This is the battle movie,” she said of Eclipse. “So there should be some conflict in the music, so we have a band like The Dead Weather there.”

Eclipse News – Twilight Lexicon’s Eclipse review
Alphie from Twilight Lexicon has posted her review of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse which she watched together with a bunch of fans during the screening for The Oprah Show.
Yes! All of us ‘WOOHOOOed’ with what she wrote! She also talked about the special effects and the wigs that we worried so much about.
***SPOILER ALERT! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!***
Let me reassure those of you who still doubt the romance of the film that it is there. It is so totally there! Every kiss you expect to see is there. Every moment of longing and confusion is there. From marriage proposals to leg hitches, it’s all there… and then some. The chemistry is hotter than ever. No need to worry about this side of the film.
Those of you that have missed the Cullens in the first two movies will not be disappointed. All the Cullens get more screen time, with the obvious emphasis on Rosalie and Jasper and their back stories. It was really quite fantastic to see them playing their human counterparts, and then to see both of them as red eyed vampires. The flashbacks were some of my favorite moments of the film.
Wolf pack fans, you get a treat, too. The scene that comes from chapter 11 of Eclipse (Legends) is very well done. Even though the CG on the wolves wasn’t finished, I felt there was more emotion and characterization in the wolves this time around than in New Moon. The new additions to the pack are played exactly as you expect. The crowd gave a sweet “awwww” when we first met Seth in the film. Booboo Stewart is so spot on Seth that you can’ t help but smile at him. Julia Jones is as bitter and edgy as Leah should be.

Los Angeles, CA May 19, 2010 – Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, and Nikki Reed will all return as members of the Cullen Family in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN. These cast members join Billy Burke as Charlie Swan.
Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. On the program, Ellen comments that Rob seems more at ease acting than chatting on a talk show, and she says she thinks he might be shy.
“I just like doing things where you have a little time to think about what you’re saying,” Rob replies. “I’ve always had a problem actually thinking before I open my mouth.”
“Being spontaneous?” Ellen asks.
“Yeah, being spontaneous or just thinking. I have a problem with thinking… Thinking in real time,” he explains.

Eclipse News – Stephenie Meyer’s mini fans/press junket for Eclipse!
Stephenie Meyer wants to do something different this year to promote the opening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in the cinemas on June 30 for US Twilight fans!
Hey guys,
I want to do something different with publicity for this movie release. For Twilight, I did the normal press junket, for New Moon I got to go on Oprah. Both of these were fun, exciting experiences. However, they both had the same drawback—the interviews were designed for a very broad audience, and because of that, most of the questions were about things you guys have known the answers to for years. I feel like all of the basic questions have been answered, and for Eclipse I want to focus on the more specific questions of the readers. To accomplish that, I’m hosting my own mini-junket with a few fansites. It will be held on Friday, June 18th, the week before the L.A. premiere.
Unfortunately, I can’t talk to every single site, and I want to keep this as low key and enjoyable as possible. So I put all the U.S. fansites in a hat (for logistical reasons, we had to keep this in the country) and drew out four names.
LUCKY!!!! But we hope someday she will also consider us the International fans. She doesn’t have to fly us to the USA – but a chat with us online would be just fine. Agree??

Eclipse News – New Clip:Rosalie & Bella/ Esme’s take on the tent scene
Nikki Reed kicked off the Twilight Event on The Ellen Show when she did an interview with Ellen and gave away Eclipse premiere tickets yesterday!!
Nikki also brought with her a new clip from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse that features Bella and Rosalie finally having a conversation. 
How? You like?! We do!!!
And later today – Wednesday 19th May – Robert Pattinson will revisit the Ellen Show and chat with her! Lets see what Ellen will do or give Rob this time.
MTV.com had a chat with Elizabeth Reaser about the sexiness factor in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Elizabeth Reaser might play Edward’s adopted vampire mom, Esme Cullen, in “Twilight,” but that doesn’t mean she can’t find the “Eclipse” tent scene to be one really sexy moment. If Twi-Hards thought it was hot in the book, Reaser said, then they really need to see the flick, out June 30.
“The tent scene, I remember that being one of the hottest scenes in the books, so I’m excited to see that,” Reaser said when she stopped by the MTV News offices Tuesday (May 18). “I’m Team Edward, so I can’t relate to [Bella] being torn [between Edward and Jacob], but I mean, come on, vampires are cool! Wolves are super hairy and they smell disgusting, like dogs.”
Reaser said the tent scene ups the sexual ante in the “Twilight Saga.” “The tent scene is sort of a three-way — I mean, it’s a chaste three-way, but it is, nonetheless, a three-way,” she said. “So I do think that ups the sexiness factor in this movie, but I don’t know. The first movie, I thought, was intensely sexy, because they couldn’t touch, and to watch them fall in love was so sexy. And I love that, in the books, they all have great chemistry. So it’s fun to watch.”
