Twilight News

Saturday Night Live – SNL just did a skit on Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson!

Check it out :

Can you recognise who’s playing Rob??

Its Ryan Philippe.

Carlisle Cullen is worth $34.1 Billion, this was revealed earlier this week on Forbes.com

This is the first time Carlisle has been listed in  Forbes’ Fictional 15.

Global markets are rapidly recovering from the 2008 financial crisis, and so are the fortunes of the fictitious. There are six new characters on the 2010 edition of Fictional 15, our annual ranking of fiction’s richest, with an average net worth of $7.3 billion. In aggregate, the nine returning members are worth $79.8 billion, up 9% since we last checked in on them.

Topping the list this year is newcomer Carlisle Cullen, patriarch of the Cullen coven of vampires in the Twilight series of novels. Cullen, age 370, has accumulated a fortune of $34.1 billion–much of it from long-term investments made with the aid of his adopted daughter Alice, who picks stocks based on her ability to see into the future. Low-key and undead, Cullen has spent recent years posing as a mortal doctor in a small town in Washington State.

Here the full Forbes Fictional 15 list.

1. Carlisle Cullen $34.1 Billion

2. Scrooge McDuck $33.5 Billion

3. Richie Rich $11.5 Billion

4. Tony Stark $8.8 Billion

5. Jed Clampett $7.2 Billion

6. Adrian “Ozymandias” Veidt $7 Billion

7. Bruce Wayne $6.5 Billion

9. Thurston Howard III $2.1 Billion

10. Sir Topham Hat $2 Billion

11. Artemis II Fowl $1.9 Billion

12. C. Montgomery Burns $1.3 Billion

13.  Charles “Chuck” Bartholomew Bass $1.1 Billion

14. Jay Gatsby $1 Billion

15. Lucille Bluth 950 million

Another magazine interview with Kellan Lutz. This one is from Interview Magazine:

JACOBS (Interview Magazine): And sometimes you just like to go on a shirtless run with your dog, and people need to deal with it.

LUTZ: I don’t see why it’s special. I know a lot of people who run shirtless because they don’t want their clothes to get sweaty. I’m just a normal person. And I have four paparazzi who sit outside my house all day.

JACOBS (Interview Magazine): Your humility is charming, but do you ever look at other guys going up for a role and think, “I can destroy you with my good looks”?

LUTZ: I love competition. I thrive on it. I love being able to win the room over before even walking through the door. When I was going out for Twilight, I was a big guy, especially afterGeneration Kill. I was close to 200 pounds and just all muscle. The character description was a big, bulky fighter, a wrestler, a bear of a guy with a smile. I walked in the waiting room and I noticed nine other actors, and half of them were trying to do push-ups, and half of them were trying to be all tough. I chuckled to myself. I’m very perceptive. I love seeing guys out of the corner of my eye be like, “Great.” Because they see a guy walking in who totally looks the role. It’s funny. I don’t try to be cocky, but I’m just very confident because I know I did all of my homework. I also really love, love, love doing character pieces. I love wearing wigs to auditions, even though sometimes they don’t work. I love trying to play the not-confident guy, the guy against my normal character, because that’s when real acting comes into play.

You can read the whole interview right here and watch a behind-the-scenes video of the photoshoot too.

Eclipse News

HitFix has an article that addresses the rumours that had been circling about the Eclipse crew returning to Vancouver to do reshoots of certain scenes. Here’s the article:

Confirmed: ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ doing pickups with David Slade, not reshoots

- And no, Hardwicke and Weitz  are not coming back

This morning Canadian gossip site Lainey Gossip reported that reshoots of two key scenes for the forthcoming “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” were occurring in Vancouver next week.  The pundit also floated that because of “creative differences” with the studio director David Slade wouldn’t oversee the reshoots and that former helmers Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight”) and Chris Weitz (“New Moon”) could step in instead.  Because the outlet is based in the city and has been correct on a number stories regarding the franchise before, many media took the report with a hint of credibility which was a mistake.

HitFix has learned that Slade, who is currently overseeing the film’s score in London, would be headed to Vancouver himself to film what are obvstentively pick up shots, not reshot scenes. Pick up shots are cut into already completed scenes and can be necessary because of anything from bad lighting, a faulty print or a missing expression or line that was determined in editing.  Reshoots insinuate a completely new scene being inserted into a picture.

Additionally, a Summit spokesperson told HitFix that the shoot has been planned for months, the picture is not in “trouble” and, in fact, the studio thinks it may be the best of the three so far. Considering, this writer has heard praise for “Eclipse’s” script, that’s easy to believe. The spokesperson also noted that reshoot timing is three days or less, is not a lot of material and furthermore, they do not involve the meadow scene or any action scenes whatsoever.

And GossipCop has their exclusive too!

First, regarding the implication that these reshoots were unexpected, an authorized rep for the studio tells Gossip Cop, “The reshoot was planned for months, like it is with the majority of films.”

Let Gossip Cop settle some other false rumors.

Contrary to today’s inaccurate speculation, “creative differences” have not led Summit to consider bringing in another director for the reshoots.

David Slade is 100% directing them, like he did the entire movie, and the studio is “very happy” with his direction of the film, which internally some say could be the best of the series.

As for the timing, speculation that there will be three rushed days of 18-hour shoots is incorrect. The Summit rep tells Gossip Cop that it’s a two-and-a-half to three-day shoot, and that “very little” actually has to be reshot.

But the biggest misconception concerned the specific scenes alleged to be those in need of a reshoot. The rep confirms to Gossip Cop, “None of the meadow or action scenes are being reshot.”

If you guys remember this happened with Twilight too. The cast had to return and wear extra extra white make up and 19th century costumes. And Robert Pattinson had  to wear a bowl hat (haha!) or is that a fedora .. Anyway…

Those scenes shot are what we now know as part of Jacob’s Scary Story to Bella which led to the Treaty between the Cold Ones  and the  Quileute tribe.

I liked this scene cos it made Jacob’s story to Bella the more richer and watching the Cullens enjoying their hunt was cool too! GREAT JOB CATHERINE!!!

It’s the only time so far in the Twilight Saga movies, that we ever see the Cullens sitting or rather crouching together for a ‘vegetarian meal’ in the woods.

Am wondering now how, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’s hunting trips would play out ie Edward’s Stag night with Jasper & Emmett and when Edward teaches Bella the ropes. :)

So for now, we hope these ‘pick ups’ or ‘reshoots’ -whatever- will make Eclipse even more exciting!!!

EDIT: UPDATE!

We’re happy to entertain you!

See you in Vancouver Mr. Slade!!!

Lastly, here’s a ‘David Slade Approved’ Eclipse Trailer Spoof!

Eclipse News

First up! Reelz Channel shows of what our Twilight Saga cast has been up to lately.

MTV Movies Blog has Ashley Greene already previewed some ‘Eclipse’ footage!

“Then, the whole fight sequence that I’ve seen really looks amazing,” Greene said of another of her favourite moments in the film, which is expected to bring more action and blood than any of the previous “Twilight” movies. “We worked our tails off for it.”

The suspense is killing us already! How much more sooner can June come!

IESB.net has Ashley Greene Talks Skateland, The Apparition & Compares Twilight Sequel Directors.

Q: For The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, did David Slade give you a syllabus or mission statement, the way that Chris Weitz did for The Twilight Saga: New Moon?

Ashley: No, he definitely didn’t give us that. But, each of the cast did sit down and have hour-long, sit-down conversations with him, probably two or three times, going over the whole script and us highlighting anything that we wanted to talk about. He went about it a different way, but he was also very open about forming some type of collaboration. The directors have their own vision. They don’t want to change our characters, but their vision may be a little different. Obviously, David Slade has a little darker spin on it than Chris Weitz may have had, so we had to find a way to mold them together.

Nikki tells Access Hollywood that she a lot of fun on the set of Eclipse!

New York Post has Jackson Rathbone: I loved brining our Jasper’s dark side in ‘Eclipse’

PW: So is it difficult then to play Jasper over the course of five films?
Jackson: The thing I like about Jasper’s arc is that it’s very developed — you don’t know much about him in the first film. He’s always in pain but don’t know why, until the second film, when you realize that he’s the newest to the family and he’s basically dying of hunger. It’s very difficult to live that vampryic lifestyle. So he’s having trouble adjusting. In the third film, we get to see Jasper’s backstory – see who he used to be and why he’s having such a hard time transitioning.

PW: So “Eclipse” will flashback to his time in The Civil War?
Jackson: Yeah. We do a little segue/backstory in “Eclipse”,when he was turned during the Civil War. We get to see his more aggressive tendencies. When you’re first turned into a vampire, that’s when you’re at your most ravenous, most vicious – so you see Jasper go through that. It was a lot of fun to bring out the darker side of Jasper that he’s been holding back.

Larry Carroll from MTV Mivies Blog has an interesting article where he sums up all of Rob’s rumours lately!

Rob’s Nirvana? The Sun is a British tabloid that seems to specialize in stories about how Megan Fox is going to play Catwoman. Their latest “scoop,” however, was a real doozy — Rob was in regular contact with Courtney Love and had landed the role of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in a biopic. The rumor got a bit of traction, particularly because of RPattz’s well-documented love of music, but ultimately the Sun story was dismissed by Love’s reps, leaving the tabloid to offer all apologies.

Check out the rest of the rumors put to rest: Robert Pattinson’s Kurt Cobain Casting And Other Classic, Untrue RPattz RumorsWell said, Larry! :D

Collider had a video interview with Kristen and Dakota on doing their Runaways movie.

During the interview Stewart and Fanning answered questions I got via Twitter (thanks to everyone who tweeted me questions) and if you watch time index 2:50 or so, you can hear what sounds like the wall falling and see their reactions.  It’s actually a very relaxed and fun interview.  Check it out after the jump:

JSYK asks Kristen how it wouls be like working alongside her mom for the movie K-11.

“If she called me right now and said, ‘We’re making the movie,’ I would be really excited. I guess my question is, ‘How would it be to work with a parent?’ We’re really close and then, at the same time, we’re creatively very different. But, I think it would be cool if it happens.”

Hollywoodlife! has an EXCLUSIVE! Nikki Reed Backs Out of ‘K-11′ Movie with Kristen Stewart!

This is a shocker to me, really. I was looking forward to seeing Nikki and Kristen being in a prison movie. ;)

The Hollywood Reporter shows that Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz has booked more movies, ‘Butter’ and ‘Love, Wedding, Marriage’ , repectively. And they’re both comedy films!

“Butter” follows a number of competitive characters in a small Midwestern town as they become entwined in an annual butter-carving contest. Greene will play a rebellious high school teenager named Kaitlen Pickler. (Do I smell a sequel built around anaerobic fermentation?)

‘Love, Wedding, Marriage’ – The story centers on a newlywed marriage counselor (Moore) who is thrown for a loop when she learns that her parents, whose marriage she’s always idealized, are headed for divorce. She sets out on a disastrous path to save their marriage at the expense of her own, manipulating loved ones to achieve her objectives. Lutz will play her husband; Brolin and Seymour will play the parents. – The Hollywood Reporter

Now we’ve got more movies to look forward to from our favourite Cullen siblings! :D

Check out this clip of Kellan on ‘The Nightmare on Elm Street’!

I’m not a big fan of horror movies, but this is just too exciting!

In Local Cinemas: ‘The Runaways’, 6th May 2010!

Twilight Singapore is pleased to inform you that The Runaways will be playing in our local cinemas soon from 6th May onwards! However, please note that this film has not been rated yet for Singapore’s release. We will update soon regarding the film rating :P

Here’s the details on ‘The Runaways‘:

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star in this music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s: The Runaways. The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Curie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley, played by Michael Shannon, who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself – and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’ s pure rock’ n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten. Written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film chronicles Joan and Cherie’s tumultuous relationship on and off stage, as the band starts to break out.

Head over to Shaw cinemas from 6th May onwards to watch Kristen Stewart (Joan Jett) and Dakota Fanning (Cherie Currie) in this biopic film, ‘The Runaways’!

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner

As we are now awaiting for this Eclipse novella to be released on noon June 7th until July 5th, to be available online at www.breetanner.com, Jodelle Ferland revealed about the times she read the manuscript of Bree’s story.

MTV Hollywood Crush has ‘Eclipse’ Star Jodelle Ferland Recalls The Major Secrecy Behind ‘Bree Tanner’ Manuscript.

“I was allowed to read the story, but I had to actually go to set to read it. I couldn’t have a copy because they have to be careful. I had to sit in a trailer with somebody there with me at all times because people can take pictures or whatever they want,” Jodelle said.

She explained the circumstances surrounding the humorous photo that shows her sitting next to a bucket filled with the ashes of her copy of the novella.

“After I read the story, we were supposed to destroy it, get rid of it, but, since we were filming on location, we didn’t really have a shredder or anything. We didn’t exactly know what to do and then it kind of came to us: well, we can just burn it,” she said. “We put it in a bucket and we burnt it and threw a match in there. It was actually kind of hard. It took forever to burn.”

Jodelle Ferland interview on ‘Urban Rush’ found here in the video below:

MTV Movies Blog has kindly provided a Bree Tanner Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know About New ‘Twilight Novella.

An “Eclipse” Exclusive:
If you’ve only been watching the “Twilight” movies or read the first two books, don’t be shocked that you have no idea who Bree Tanner is. In fact, don’t be upset if you read “Eclipse” and still have no idea who she is. Tanner is a character introduced a startlingly short amount of time before she dies in “Eclipse” and could be considered (to everyone except Stephenie Meyer) to be a throwaway character.

A Short Life:
Tanner is only introduced 10 pages before she is killed off in Victoria’s war against the Cullens and the Quileute werewolf tribe. However, of all the newborn vampires discussed in “Eclipse,” Tanner was one of the few to be named and introduced to the readers. Unfortunately, it didn’t take very long after she was turned into a vampire for her to meet her end … again.

Dramatic Death Scene:
It turns out Tanner isn’t the best newborn vampire among them all, and she isn’t a big fan of killing innocents and drinking their blood. She tries to join forces with the Cullen clan and adapt to their “vegetarian vampire” lifestyle, but ends up being killed by Felix on the orders of Jane, a member of the Volturi guard (played by Dakota Fanning in the film), in the final battle.

Newborn Vampires:
A big part of the story in “Eclipse” surrounds the bad-girl vampire Victoria creating an army of newborn vampires in the Seattle area so she can wage war on Edward Cullen, who killed her beau James way back in “Twilight.” When a vampire is first created, it is at its strongest, so Victoria went around recklessly creating vampires so she could have an extremely powerful army behind her. Tanner was just one of the fatalities.

Seattle:
The trouble with the first-person perspective of “The Twilight Saga” is that the reader can’t read what is happening firsthand beyond what Bella Swan sees with her own eyes. Much like “Midnight Sun” gave (some) of the details behind what happened elsewhere in “Twilight,” “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” will show what happened in Seattle with Victoria during “Eclipse.” But since much of “Eclipse” is devoted to the characters wondering what exactly was going on in Seattle, seeing it through the eyes of a secondary character like Tanner is a smart companion piece to the book.

Unseen First Life:
Unfortunately for Tanner, the world will never know what happened to her before she became a vampire. She was introduced into “Eclipse” after she was a newborn and “The Short Second Life” will start off the same way. There is a chance of flashbacks telling about her life before becoming a vampire, but the way Meyer described the novella on her Web site made it seem as though Tanner was the narrator solely so the reader could see what went on in Seattle, not to learn her past.

In The Movies:
“Eclipse” director David Slade at least had more of a heads-up than fans and retailers did about “The Short Second Life,” and he cast 14-year-old Jodelle Ferland in the role. Slade and Ferland, as well as Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria) and Xavier Samuel (Riley), were given advance copies of the book to read so they could have a complete knowledge of what went on in Seattle for the film.

Ramblings of Twilight Singapore – Movies

We hope that we have entertained you with our previous ramblings on our current and favourite books to read. This time, we thought of rambling about the latest movie that we watched and our favourite movie of all time. (The Twilight Saga movies are always our favourite!) Enjoy reading our post and hope you can gauge how our personalities are like just by reading at what type of movies we watch.

NASH’s Ramblings

I really can’t choose a favourite movie cos I have too many to choose from! If you want to watch a movie with me, my movie choices will range from romance, drama, comedy, animation and action once in a while. Well gauging from my movie choices… I’m not really a big movie fanatic and I don’t usually watch horror! It’ll just bring nightmares to me. So after much deliberating, my favourite movie of all time would have to be A Walk To Remember starring Mandy Moore and Shane West.

Based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, A Walk To Remember is a romantic, dramatic and touching movie. I’ve watched this countless of times on TV, on VCD and yet it’ll always make me cry every single time. I’ve read the book and though the movie script may not be the same as the novel, it’ll still make me emotional every time. If you plan to watch this, be prepared to bring along a box of tissues with you. It might just come in handy.

My next favourite would have to be Freedom Writers. I’ve watched this many times and once you’ve watched it, you kinda get hooked to it. A story of a group of estranged teenagers that became united as a class by their teacher who did everything to change their lives for the better. A word of caution, this movie contains violence and crude language.

MARIA’s Ramblings

I actually have quite a lot favourite movies. Its difficult to choose. I love romance, historical, dramas, thrillers, black comedies and of course comedies. I have just a few favourite actors/actresses which will drive me to get dvds of their work. And am soo happy to find out Izzati loves Ryan Gosling too! ( I have all his movies on DVD! Except for the Mickey Mouse Club and Hercules though) And now I’m searching for all of Ben Whishaw’s work cos he just simply enthralled me in ‘Perfume’, ‘Brideshead Revisited’, ‘Bright Star’ & The Pride (an Off Broadway play).

Well – back to my favourite films. So I’ll have to pick  4.

Honestly, I've never laughed so much at the sight of so much blood! Amazing film!

I saw this movie first on pay TV and was just in awe of the 2 actors. And it involved letters. I am a sucker for romance and with love letters?! That's it! :) The scene that makes me cry ALWAYS is near the end is when Allie finally remembers for just a few minutes and goes away again - :(

Ich liebe diesen Film, weil man nie einen Tropfen Blut zu sehen. Und natürlich Ben Whishaw

And my recommendation of a movie is Jane Campion’s BRIGHT STAR.

This film is so beautifully made in all sense of the word – the cinematography, the acting portrays the tenderness of first love so eloquently, the perfect pace, the music (check out the human orchestra – you will be amazed), the words of the poetry and the love letters – Every bit of it makes a great love story. Bought the dvd from Borders last month and its been on constant replay :)

The first line that Keats wrote in Endymion among other things that fascinates me best describes this movie:

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep..

Its a true story about the poet John Keats and his Bright Star, Fanny Brawne. Their love story only became public many years after both of them have passed on when John Keats love letters to Fanny were published.

Fanny’s first letter – the words in this letter so ‘enthramelled’ me too! This clip shows only a portion of the actual letter and what beautiful writing it is.

IZZATI’s Ramblings

I’m a movie-goer myself and like Nasyita and Maria, I’m into romance/drama/independent/thriller films. I’m not really a fan of horror films and I’m a little selective when it comes to comedies :D

Recommended Movie(s):

Dead Poet’s Society

Released in 1989, DPS tells the story of an English teacher, John Keating (Robin Williams) that changed the lives of his students  through the love of poetry. He dared and challenged his students to go against the status quo. CARPE DIEM! SEIZE THE DAY! A truly inspirational film. This is a must watch for all!

Little Miss Sunshine

I have to admit that sometimes, I judge a movie by it’s theatrical poster. Little Miss Sunshine’s poster caught my attention. If you noticed, most independent films have rather interesting posters. Little Miss Sunshine is a hilarious and entertaining film. A story of a dysfunctional family who traveled to California to send their daughter, Olive to a beauty pageant, ‘Little Miss Sunshine’.

Half Nelson

Ryan Gosling plays a high school teacher, Dan Dunne, who develops an unlikely relationship with one of his students, Drey, after she discovered that her teacher has a drug habit problem. As a teacher, Dan is always finding ways on how to inspire his students. When he’s not teaching, Dan has problems of his own too. Drey, on the other hand, has to deal with her family problems.

Ryan Gosling is brilliant in this one. One of my favourite Gosling’s films besides The Notebook :P

AISHAH’s Ramblings

Favourite Movie: The Others

Starring: Nicole Kidman

Synopsis: Grace Stewart, played by Nicole Kidman, is living her two children, Anne and Nicholas, in a huge and silent mansion, towards the end of WWII. Her children are photosensitive, meaning that they cannot be touched in direct sunlight without being hurt in some way. Grace is awaiting for her husband to come back from back from battle, and in the mean time, she hires 3 servants after her previous servants went missing. Ever since the arrival of these 3 mysterious servants, strange event occur and Grace begins to wonder if it’s her sanity getting the better of her or if there is something much more in the house with them.

By far, I think it might be the only favourite thriller film I am ever going to watch. I’m not into horror movies but, something about this movie just kept me on my toes all the time. A mixture of Nicole Kidman’s brilliant performance, and the Victorian setting. A little bit of spoiler that this film is something like the other ghost film, The Sixth Sense. ;)

Recomended Movie: District 9

Starring: Sharlto Copley

Synopsis: In 1982, a massive star ship bearing a bedraggled alien population, nicknamed “The Prawns,” appeared over Johannesburg, South Africa. Twenty-eight years later, the initial welcome by the human population has faded. The refugee camp where the aliens were located has deteriorated into a militarized ghetto called District 9, where they are confined and exploited in squalor. In 2010, the munitions corporation, Multi-National United, is contracted to forcibly evict the population with operative Wikus van der Merwe in charge. In this operation, Wikus is exposed to a strange alien chemical and must rely on the help of his only two new ‘Prawn’ friends.

In the beginning the film looks a little bit light-hearted when we are introduced to this quirky character. As the film progresses, we learn more about how the corporations treat these extra-terrestrial beings and how Wikus, who have been exposed to the new alien chemical, starts changing to one of them. The film shows that no matter how different our species are, the idea of racism and inhumanity is appplied in the movie here.

Lots of action is seen here and also a couple of tear-jerker moments.

BESSY’s Ramblings

JUNO

Juno tells the story of a high school kid Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) who gets pregnant. Initially, she wants to have an abortion but then decides to change her mind. The movie follows her as the sixteen-year-old goes through nine memorable months of pregnancy.

The film’s humourous dialogue and intriguing storyline would connect with any teenager. Juno learns answers to love, life and her identity through this journey and the audience would definitely be able to connect with her.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

The Sound of Music is a musical film based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Broadway version. A young and free-spirited nun, Maria (Julie Andrews), gets assigned to be a governor to the wealthy and widowed Captain Georg Ludwig von Trapp’s (Christopher Plummer) seven children. Not wanting to be reminded of the joy his entire family once had, Captain von Trapp bans music in the house and instills strict discipline in the house. However, Maria slowly changes everything and wins the hearts of everyone.

Released in 1965, there is no trailer for the film of course, so I’ve included a short clip above that has various screen caps from the movie. There’s something charming about the performances in this piece that captures my heart every time I watch it. Such sweet music cannot be found in today’s world anymore, and the plot is extremely fulfilling.

500 DAYS OF SUMMER

Tom Hansen meets Summer Finn on 8th January. He is instantly attracted to her, but falls madly in love with her as he finds out more things, like how they share the same taste in music. Over the next 500 days, Tom earns a new perspective (especially with regards to his career) as he goes through life with Summer.

This is one of my all-time favourites. I first caught it in the cinemas last year and have been re-watching it countless times ever since. The catch of the movie, however, is exactly what the subtitle on the poster has been saying: “This is not a love story. This is a story about love.” There are a few surprises here and there in this film, so I shan’t spoil you and will leave you to think about it when you’re done with the movie. ;)

From the World Oblivious to Twilight

We were checking out some Tumblr postings and found this at cheaperthanacupofjoe. Thought you guys might enjoy it :)

“I DON’T GET IT…WHAT’S ALL THE FUSS ABOUT?”

“Everyone’s been telling me to check out the Eclipse Trailer… how is this super hot and sexy??”

Eclipse News

We are reaching the release date for Eclipse day by day. As of now, there’s still no news yet for the OST. Well, not to worry as they’ll probably update us soon about it :D

However, we do have a brief update regarding the OST via Twilight Examiner. Florence Welch on NME:

This morning, NME is reporting that Florence and the Machine songstress Florence Welch stated that she was interested in being a part of the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse but that nothing was yet “confirmed” for the endeavor.

The interview was only briefly previewed byNME as it is a promotion for an upcoming issue that Florence Welch covers, but it seems to suggest that negotiations for her involvement with the soundtrack are underway.

Of course, there’s no telling what the exact circumstances of the arrangement are, but NME is a reliable source.

Eclipse News

Access Hollywood has a little bit of behind-the scenes look of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ ;)

Inmovies had an interview with Cameron Bright for his role in the upcoming Eclipse movie.

I understand that your character has some special powers, and it seems to me like it might be a challenge to portray something that no one can see. I wonder how do you act something that isn’t visually obvious?

If anything I cut people’s senses off, so you know, I’m the kind of guy that you don’t want to make pissed off because you won’t know what’s coming to you. But you know, it’s also a cool power when you think about it. You know, it’s a different one. I’m not the normal, like, read minds or anything like that. I cut off people’s senses. You want to be able to hear? No, no you can’t. You know, that kind of stuff.

Was it challenging to get into that, into portraying that power?

Well, so far I’ve never had to use my power, so I can’t say it was hard. I can’t say it was easy, because I haven’t had to do it. But, as in portraying the character? It wasn’t hard at all, it was fun, you know, because you get to do whatever you want with it. You know, a book’s a book. You can picture the person in your head, but as soon as you turn it into a movie, it’s a totally different world, because you’re seeing it come to life. As far as my character goes, the books never really bar him down to a certain person, you know? Like they never said ‘This is how he acts, this is what he does, yadda yadda yadda’. But it was when I got to film in the movie they said ‘Fave fun! You’re a vampire now. Be a vampire.’ And, nobody knows how to play a vampire, because, has anybody met a vampire before? No. But, you know, that’s what I like about it, [that] I can do whatever I want with it.

Peter  revealed about Twilight Saga: Eclipse on Hollywood Dailies Tidbits.

He also offered up a meaty ‘Eclipse’ tease: ‘It’s Dangerous And Deadly’

Fear.net has an exclusive with Jackson Rathbone regarding on ‘Love-Lust’ in ‘Twilight: Eclipse’.

We’ll finally get to learn a little bit more about your character, Jasper Hale. What we can expect to see from Jasper’s flashbacks and your scenes with Catalina?

Jasper’s back story is that he was turned into a vampire during the Civil War era, so I got to don the Civil War regalia and ride a horse again — I haven’t been on a horse in like two years, so that was really fun. Basically, that’s how I meet Maria, who’s played by Catalina. Maria turns Jasper in order to make him the leader, or trainer, of the army that she needs in the South. Vampire armies are very prevalent in the South in those days. You’ll get to see a lot of deadly training vampire scenes, and a little bit of the love-lust relationship between Jasper and Maria and how it doesn’t really pan out.

From Hollywood Crush, Jackson says that the most gratifying part of ‘Eclipse’ was uncovering Jasper’s ‘pain’.

Though we don’t learn much about Jackson’s Jasper Hale in “Twilight” and “New Moon,” his background is explored much more in “Eclipse.” “I’m excited for a step up with Jasper’s character,” Jackson said. “It’s been two, three years and now I get to kind of go outside and show a little bit more of what makes Jasper tick. We get to go into his back story — see where he came from, who he was before, what makes him who we see in the first film of ‘Twilight,’ what makes him seem like he’s always in pain, why he’s always in pain … because he is.”

So why, exactly, is he in so much agony? “He’s almost depressed,” Jackson said. “He wants to live a good life. He wants to be part of the Cullen family. He is the newest to this vegetarian vampire way of life, and he’s still trying to be part of that and address his inner demons and what he used to be. It was really fun to be able to express that.”

Alex Meraz revelaed that his character, ‘Paul’ would be more angrier in ‘Eclipse’.

Twilight News

Deadline New York has more about Stephenie’s The Host movie adaptation’s progress.

I can report some forward progress on the movie version of The Host, Meyer’s first adult novel which she optioned last fall to producers Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz–the trio behind the terrific screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. Steve Schwartz tells me that Andrew Niccol is working on the third draft of a screenplay which he’s writing in close consultation with the author.

Film.com had an interview with Melissa Rosenberg on New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn’s Potential MPAA Rating.

LL: You’ve been writing Dexter and The Twilight Saga for the better part of four years now. How do you maintain a balance with your personal life? Or is it just about “The jobs are available now, I’m going to work as hard as I can right now because I don’t know if I’ll get another shot like this?”

MR: It’s the second one. There is no life balance. I’ve been working for many years and I’m well aware of how rare an opportunity it is to have even one of these projects available, much less both. It’s an extraordinary opportunity. You just don’t walk away from opportunities like that because you’re too tired or it’s too much work. I had to grasp them both, and fortunately I have a very understanding husband and very understanding friends.

Both Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone has expressed their views on how and who they think ‘Breaking Dawn’ should be directed.

LA Times Blog has listed another Oscar-nominated director who might direct ‘Breaking Dawn’ – ‘The Reader’ director Stephen Daldry.

Still, even by those standards, Daldry stands out. He’s been nominated for three Oscars, more than any of the other directors on the short list. In fact, Daldry is the rare filmmaker who’s been nominated for a best directing Oscar for every feature he’s made.

Those credentials make taking on a global teen phenomenon seem unlikely, though there are reasons to think it could work. The director is well-versed in depicting forbidden love (a “Twilight” staple) with “The Reader” and “The Hours.” And he’s adept at themes of family alienation, also a franchise fixture, which ran under “Billy Elliot.” Also, like most of the others, Daldry doesn’t yet have a new film.

Nikki Reed was on Youn Hollywood for her fashion and style and a little bit on the third film, Eclipse.

Harper’s Bazaar has listed Dakota Fanning and Anna Kendrick as Hollywood’s 10 Rising Style Stars! Our girls has always looked gorgeous. :)

Cast Related News – The Last Airbender & Dread

Movie Web with an exclusive interview with Jackson on his new film, Dread which has just released in DVD.

You’ve done a few horror films in the past, so what was it like to get a script for a Clive Barkeradaptation? What were your original thoughts on the script when you first read it?

Jackson Rathbone: Well, before I even read it, before I even knew it was a Clive Barker adaptation, I was really excited about it. Then I read it and I was blown away, to be honest. It’s a much more humanized version of that kind of dark world that Clive is famous for creating. Once I read it, I was compelled to do the project, especially since I made a friend of mine read it, and the ending kind of made him a little bit sick, which is awesome, I think.

In the meantime, FearNet also had an interview with Jackson about his other films like ‘Dread’, ‘The Last Airbender and even his guest spot on ‘Criminal Minds’ .

Dread does have its gory moments, but it’s much more a deeply psychological thriller than a straight out blood-fest — and that seems to be what makes it all the more disturbing, doesn’t it?

I definitely agree. You know, it’s hard for me to classify Dread as a horror film; it does have horrific elements, but horror to me has always had more of a fantastical element – movies with monsters, or films like Friday the13th or Halloween. As opposed to this, which I think of more as a psychological thriller; it’s much more about testing the limits of your mind and your psyche, exploring the darker side.

Jackson even compared the difference between ‘Dread’ and ‘Twilight’ on MTV Movies Blog.

Despite the fact that “Twilight” isn’t really a scary movie, Rathbone said there are similarities between “Twilight” and “Dread.” “One of the things I like is when different worlds collide. With the ‘Twilight’ films, you have the horror element of the vampire, but it becomes more of a romantic action film with the vampire falling in love with the girl. With ‘Dread’ it’s kind of the same thing. Clive Barker’s world is usually more of a mythical gothic world, but ‘Dread’ is more of a personalized psychological thriller instead of a horror. It has the horror elements, but it’s much more of a person-to-person drama.”

Here an exclusive clip from the ‘Dread’ DVD with a behind the scene. And it is kinda gross.
