That’s right! Stephenie Meyer has written a short novel on the life of Bree Tanner! For those who are clueless to who Bree Tanner is, she is one of the characters in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse novel whom The Cullens encountered during the last few chapters.
We were anticipating for the The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide but Stephenie Meyer had a reason why it was delayed:
“I’m as surprised as anyone about this novella,” said Stephenie Meyer. “When I began working on it in 2005, it was simply an exercise to help me examine the other side of Eclipse, which I was editing at the time. I thought it might end up as a short story that I could include on my website. Then, when work started on The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, I thought the Guide would be a good fit for my Bree story. However, the story grew longer than I anticipated, until it was too long to fit into the Guide.”
As a special thank you to fans, Meyer is giving them exclusive access to the novel on a dedicated website, www.breetanner.com, from June 7 to July 5, 2010 where fans from around the world will be able to read the book online in English. “I’d always considered The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner as something for the fans,” said Meyer. “They have been so supportive of all things Twilight.”

“Well, I’m just actually starting to read it — it’s a little bit darker, so I think it’d be interesting,” she told MTV News. “It’s really interesting, yeah, maybe a little edgier. Like I said, I just started reading, so I don’t know actually where it goes, but it does seem to take on a different imagery and a different level.”
While at the premiere, Kristen gave MTV a heads up that she still hopes to make her mom’s indie movie, ‘K-11′.
Money seems to be the biggest problem right now. Even with Kristen involved — arguably one of the bigger stars out there right now — “K-11″ is just not coming together. It’s admittedly a tough sell. Stewart and Reed may be hot commodities in Hollywood, but with the former playing an autistic male-to-female transsexual and the latter playing a tattoo-covered, meth-addicted transgender, the sexy appeal of ladies in prison is somewhat diminished, to say the least.

Madame Tussauds will feature a wax model of the “Twilight” star in both their New York City and London museums for fans to oogle at on either side of the pond. Photos of the mold were released today that show the molding of Robert’s head in progress. The clay head mold represents a crucial step in the up to six month-long figure creation process. According to a press release, a team of studio artists at the museum have been studying hundreds of photos and analyzing hours of video to ensure that they capture R-Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and inimitable style. Is anyone else wondering how they can sign up for that job?

MTV Hollywood Crush has Robert Pattinson’s Wax Figure being greeted by screaming fans at Madame Tussauds NYC!
MTV News was on the scene as the historical moment unfolded, and we can report that Robert’srecently-made immortal figure provoked many screams and yells from the hordes of fans waiting outside Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Times Square bright and early (yup, one got there at 4 a.m.!) When given a chance to stand beside fake Rob, they acted exactly as we’d imagine they would next to real Rob — with laughter, kisses, shrieks and hugs. There were also plenty of hands running through his soft hair.
MTV Movies Blog has the news on Robert Pattinson Wax Figure Unveiled At Madame Tussauds where the fans got a chance to pose and take pictures with!
The figure took four months and $220,000 to create and is now displayed alongside Miley Cyrus, John Travolta, the Osbournes and Woody Allen.
The enthusiastic fans who waited in line for the unveiling (some since 4 a.m., and real Rob wasn’t even actually there) were able to run their fingers through the figure’s trademark mane of hair. Danielle Palermo said she didn’t want to mess up wax Rob’s coif. “I felt kind of bad [touching his hair],” she said. “The first time everyone went to touch him, they completely attacked his hair, and I felt really bad. Maybe I’ll just … I won’t exactly run my fingers through it, or you know, shuffle it around like everyone else did.”

CB - It’s amazing, the things I’ve gotten to do – travel to Australia, go to Twilight conventions around the world, and meet people who’ve been following me and watching my career since I was 6. I’m 17 and I live in a town of 100,000 people and not very many people get to do that. People ask me if I’d turn back because of the hype but I don’t regret anything I’ve done in my life. If I can’t walk down the street, there is a possibility that I would turn into Robert Pattinson, I would regret it. But no one strong armed me into doing this and no one really cares.
Summit Entertainment has released a press release regarding the sales of the New Moon DVD during its first weekend!
Los Angeles, CA March 23, 2010 – Summit Entertainment announced today that the home entertainment release of the studio’s action-packed, modern day vampire love story THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON sold just over 4 million DVD units in its first weekend of release. The tally surpasses the first weekend sales of TWILIGHT in 2009 which sold 3.8 million DVD units, and went on to be the top selling DVD title of the year with 9.2 million units sold. The DVD launch of NEW MOON commenced this past Saturda
y morning with 7,000 retail locations nationwide taking part in events at midnight giving fans their first chance to obtain a DVD of the film.
Thousands of TWILIGHT fans across the nation participated in the “NEW MOON at Midnight” event and some were treated to surprise appearances by members of the cast as well as the film’s director. Fans saw actors Justin Chon who plays Eric, Christian Serratos who plays Angela, and Michael Welch who plays Mike in Salt Lake City; director Chris Weitz and Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Hale in Los Angeles; Peter Facinelli who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in New York; Edi Gathegi who plays Laurent in Pittsburgh; and Liz Reaser who plays Esme Cullen in Phoenix. Other cast members of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON made appearances nationwide including Kiowa Gordon and Tinsel Korey in Cincinnati; Charlie Bewley in Denver; Chaske Spencer and Tyson Houseman in Atlanta; Daniel Cudmore in Houston; and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg in Seattle.
Summit Entertainment’s Co-Chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger stated, “Once again the incredibly dedicated fans of the TWILIGHT SAGA came out in massive numbers this weekend for the opportunity to be one of the first take home the second movie in the series. Don’t get too excited cos its not that big – I’ve put it on closeup. 
Its a little larger than a credit card and the mini film strip contains 4 images film cell which is mounted between 2 cards and protected by a plastic sheet.

Lastly, Alliance Entertainment has informed us that they will be releasing the Film Cells in the Singapore market in 2 months so maybe you guys can buy another DVD to get a different version of the Film Cell?!

Twilight: The Graphic Novel has been creating a lot of buzz ever since it was revealed and thanks to one of our Twimoms, Janelene, Kinokuniya is selling Twilight: The Graphic Novel Volume 1 at $32.63.
There has been many speculations that Muse might or might not be in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack but thanks to Twilighters Anonymous, it is confirmed! MUSE will be in the Eclipse soundtrack! You can find out more about it over at Twilighters Anonymous.
Over at cast related news, People magazine interviewed Nikki Reed and asked her about her Eclipse preparation.
