MTV Movies Blog has Kristen Stewart reminiscing about her FIRST ‘Twilight interview.

“That was the first time you asked me about ‘Twilight’!” Kristen smiled when we caught up last week at the “Handkerchief” junket. “I remember the interview! … You were like ‘So, what’s up with this [movie]?’ “Actually, she brought up the film. “The movie is called ‘Twilight,’ ” she said during that January 2008 encounter. “Catherine Hardwicke is directing it in Washington. It’s based on a book that’s pretty popular [among] young adult, high school kids.

Collider has just recently interviewed Kristen Stewart for The Yellow Handkerchief and there are also a couple of audio interviews from the rest of her co-stars.

Q: You made this film before Twilight. Is it hard to think back to that? Would you approach things differently now that you have this international profile?

KS: I guess because I don’t hold the reigns, really I follow, to put it absolutely lamely, my heart, I don’t think I would have made a different – - it would be really a shame if just because I did one movie, and I know it’s four or five or whatever, but it is one story. It’s one project for me. It’s the same character. It’s not like that changes, so if something like that would then affect choices, I don’t have this scheme of how people are going to receive my movies in the order that I do them and why I do scary movies and why I do movies about “disaffected teens,” which I get all the time. They’re just people I really wanted to play. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. I’m just playing parts that speak to me.

There is also a new TV Spot for The Runaways that will be in theaters on March 19! Gossip Cop has the latest details on their premiere dates. ;)

Here’s  a new video for Remember Me for an Ask Rob video regarding New York.

Kristen Stewart gives two thumbs-up to Robert Pattinson in his new film, ‘Remember Me’:

With all the kissing scenes Stewart has shared with Pattinson, “Twilight” fans already have plenty of reason to be jealous. Now they have another — she’s already seen Rob’s film and she gives it two KStew thumbs-up.

“I’ve seen the movie, I’m going to just say — I’m sure people will be like, ‘Oh my God [I'm so jealous!],” she laughed. “He’s really good in the movie.”

Here’s a really great interview of Kristen and Eddie (Kristen’s co-star in ‘The Yellow Hankerchief’). Enjoy!

Eddie, were you intimidated by Kristen because she’s this big superstar?
Eddie: I was pretty intimidated by the whole prospect of the film, playing an adopted Native American.
Kristen: Opposite Kristen Stewart.
Eddie: I think I was more scared of getting my accent right than I was about my leading lady.

Did she ignore you the first three weeks of filming, as some tabloids have reported?
E: No, she’s wonderful… I was by myself in New Orleans and Kristen was there with her family. They properly took me under their wing. I was even made a quasi member of the family for Mother’s Day. They were incredibly lovely to me. We hit it off pretty much from the word go.

So this call is to announce your engagement, right?
E: Hell yeah.

So we’ll see the wedding on the cover of People next week?

E: Guaranteed.
K: Just as soon as I have Rob’s baby.

LOL WHAT?! (Re: Kristen’s answer above) :D  You can read the whole interview here.  Just so you know, Eddie went to school with Prince William! WOW!

MTV Movies Blog recently reported that Taylor has another movie signed on. Taylor Lautner Snapped Up for ‘Abduction’

Taylor Lautner has been lining up a lot of work lately, landing the lead roles in the big-screen adaptation of the TV show “Max Steel” and the effort to bring the action figure Stretch Armstrong to the big screen. Now he’s ready to go missing. Lionsgate has bought the script for the thriller “Abduction” and cast the “Twilight” star as a young man who sees his baby picture on a missing persons Web site.

MTV has also came up with a list of movies that will be awaiting for Taylor after he is done with his ‘Twilight’ movies. Taylor Lautner’s Post-’Twilight’ Career Is On The Fast Track

That smile! That ever-present tan! Those abs! In just a few short months, Taylor Lautner has gone from the little kid in “Twilight” to the man in “New Moon” to the heartthrob wanted by millions of fans — and all of Hollywood. Now, in the four months since the second “Twilight Saga” film made him a star, the 18-year-old has lined up an equal number of high-profile projects.

But which will stretch his acting talents? Which might make him as popular with boys as he is with girls? And which could launch a signature franchise outside of Stephenie Meyer’s realm? For the answers to those and more questions, let’s take a closer look at the upcoming slate of one of Hollywood’s fastest-rising young stars.

And CONGRATULATIONS to Taylor for being nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM: Leading Young Actor in this year’s 31st Annual Young Artists Awards . Last year, Christian Serratos won. ;) All the best, Taylor!

From InStyle UK, Kellan Lutz is in new Calvin Klein Ad! WOAH~~~~~~

Looks like Twilight-star Kellan Lutz is putting his rock-hard body to good use! The steely heartthrob, armed with a six-pack and matching biceps, stripped down for the Calvin Klein campaign, featuring the brand’s ‘X’ line, which will be hitting stores this month.

Check out behind the scenes video of Kellan Lutz on the Calvin Klein photoshoot. BUT WARNING, due to the graphic nature of the video, some viewers may find it offensive. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Entertainment Weekly and Reuters has reported that Rachelle Lefevre is going to be on a new Medical drama TV Show. Good luck, Rachelle!

Twilight bloodsucker Rachelle Lefevre has joined the cast of CBS’ Untitled Medical Dramafrom producer John Wells, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The project revolves around a team of medical professionals who travel the U.S. helping those in desperate need of assistance.

Interview Magazine has recently interviewed with Joan Jett regarding her new biopic film, the Runaways and how satisfied is she with it. There are a couple of photos of the cast of the Runanways as well as the orignial band.

MCDONNELL: How was it working with Kristen Stewart, who plays you in the film? What did you tell her? How did she study you?

JETT: Well, I found Kristen to be through and through totally professional and just great to be around. I found us to be really, scarily similar, just in our physicality, the way we move through space. The first time we met was a little over a year ago, New Year’s Eve. She came to see us do a concert. We hung out for the whole day, and I just dumped on her about everything I could think about The Runaways-I mean, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I told her all that stuff and how much it meant to me. Then she went off to do New Moon, and I didn’t see her again until about two weeks before The Runaways thing started. But she is so authentic. The thing that came through to me was that it was important to her to capture it. She really wanted to nail it. So I gave her all The Runaways music that I could find; I gave her tapes of me talking. . . . When we were together prior to the start of filming, she was staring at me the whole time. And I was fine with it because I knew she was watching my posture, my mannerisms, everything I did, the way I hold my hands, just everything. And she really soaked it in. When we were hanging out together on set, it was like I had a mirror image. Even just sitting around, we’d do the same thing at the same time. It was just great-and it wasn’t creepy. It was wonderfully special.

Empire Online has a detailed minute to minute of LIVE BLOG for the BAFTAS 2010.

20.31 RISING STAR
Now it’s time for the public-voted Orange Rising Star award, which is being presented by last year’s winner Noel Clarke, looking as sharp as ever even in his reading specs. His blurb manages to mention films by all the nominees – we believe his claim that he wrote it himself given that it’s not immediately forgettable. Given that this is voted for by the public, are we immediately discounting the ace-but-unknown (and foreign) Tahar Rahim for A Prophet, and betting that Twilight’s Kristen Stewart will take it? We kinda are. But let’s see: the BAFTA goes to…KRISTEN STEWART. What a shock. “Wow. Thank you. I guess first I have to thank all the fans of Twilight for proving again and again to be THE most devoted and attentive fans ever. Considering this is voted, credit is due to them so thank you. To the other actors nominated, I am so blown away by you that I can’t even describe it. To be voted among you is just overwhelming. And I’d like to say hi to my family.” That’s rather a sweet speech, and one that shows awareness of the public vote; fair play.

Here’s Kristen commenting on her for win for  The Orange Rising STAR Award backstage. You go, girl!

OK! Magazine has a short write up and a video of the BAFTAs 2010: Twilight fans go wild for Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson & Anna Kendrick

And despite the incredible turn out of celebrities, the red carpet was lined with fans interested in one thing and one thing only: Twilight stars.

Kristen has revealed to MTV that she hopes that the ‘Eclipse’ proposal scene will ‘turn out all right’.

Stewart said she had to find an emotional space that allowed her to make a teenage engagement seem plausible. “I wanted to be, like, ‘Oh! Wow! I would say yes too!’ You know what I mean? So I don’t know how you do that. You try to do it for real, and it felt good. I hope it turned out alright.”

Reelz Channel had interview with Jackson Rathbone about his new film, The Last Airbender.

Access Hollywood caught up with Kristen Stewart at the premiere of The Yellow Handkerchief, where they revealed of how Kristen would come to know about Rob from her then co-star Eddie Redmayne.

“Randomly, at the end of this, you were about to do ‘Twilight,’” Eddie said, turning to his “Handkerchief” co-star Kristen during Access’ interview. “I had known Rob since I was [younger]. So I was like, ‘Yeah! You’re working with my mate Rob!’ You’re like, ‘Really? What’s he like?’ I was like, ‘He’s a good boy.’”

Kristen said although she first attempted to find out more about her “Twilight” co-star from his pal, she realized Eddie’s lips were fairly sealed.

“I sort of got from [Eddie] that they were friends for a long time and he wasn’t going to say anything bad about him. Even if there was something bad, it was just sort of like, ‘Yeah, it’ll be good,’” Kristen laughed.

Eddie confirmed he and his British boys club buddies stick together, a group that includes Eddie, R-Patz and “Vanity Fair” actor Tom Sturridge.

Kristen thought that it was much more relaxing to not have a job at the moment, as she told EXTRA.

And here’s another ‘Ask Rob’ video on YouTube for Remember Me, this time asking if he likes having a little sister.

IESB.net just had an interview with Kristen Stewart about her film, The Yellow Handkerchief.

Q: What was it like to play this character, when you hadn’t done too many major roles, at the time you did this film?

Kristen: Anytime you have to play a person who is not yourself, you’re stepping out of a comfort zone, but that’s what we do. If the role is bigger, that’s just more to chew on, and that’s always good.

Q: What about Martine resonated for you?

Kristen: I can relate to her, in that she’s such the typical girl that really wants to be out there and smiling and totally in the middle of whatever is going on, but has been embarrassed one too many times and has just gone, “I can’t do that anymore.” I feel like she’s also isolated herself. She’s put herself above everyone else. She can’t talk to people because they’ve let her down too many times and, in reacting to that, she made herself better than them. And, through this journey, which is such a cool thing to see such a young person go through, she realizes, “Oh, God, I never looked at you and now I’m opening my eyes and I can see you, and I was wrong.” I liked that.

In the meantime, HitFIx has a short write-up on the film and Kristen’s take on Breaking Dawn. And also an interview with her and her co-star, Eddie Redmayne.

Woot! Robert Pattinson & Emilie De Ravin will be featured in the March issue of Vogue promotingRemember Me‘.

Ask Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin about shooting their new movie, Remember Me, and they instantly start talking about the throngs of Twilight fans and pushy paparazzi who swarmed around them as they filmed on the streets of New York.

“It was the most ridiculous experience,” says Pattinson, flashing the sweet, shy smile those crowds hoped to see. “You’re trying to stay in character and you’re trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you’re not this character, you’re—”

“A show pony,” cracks de Ravin, and the two burst into laughter.

For his part, RPattz (as he’s known to his teen worshippers) is eager to start playing complicated human beings and not just heartthrobby vampires. Not that he doesn’t relish being Edward Cullen or feel loyal to his fans, but he still hasn’t figured out how to cope with being an international icon in an era when it seems impossible to escape the public eye.

“Everybody knows where everybody is,” he says. “The Twitter thing is unbelievable. I went out a couple of times with Pierce. He’s totally recognizable, and he makes no effort to tone it down. Some people were glancing over at us in the restaurant, and he just went over and introduced himself. And it does work. It dissipates all the attention.”

So, does Pattinson use this trick?

“Me?” he says, shaking those famously tousled locks, “I just crawl under the table.”

Pretty Huh.. read all here!

The other magazine that is featuring Robert this March  is Details Magazine. The feature on Rob is pretty in-depth and funny BUT WARNING has to be given to readers ESPECIALLY YOUNG READERS as the images in this magazine may offend some viewers due to the graphic nature of the images. PROCEED WITH CAUTION ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNG READERS and don’t say we didn’t warn you!!!

You don’t have to look at the photos – just read the article written by Jenny Lumet who rewrote the screenplay for ‘Remember Me’ cos it’s just plain interesting. :)

Rob’s face is constantly busy—especially his kaleidoscopic eyes, which are continually rolling and dilating, because he is always thinking. Over the course of that latte, he contemplates Jimi Hendrix, French fries, girls, art, beer, his cousin the philosopher, girls, truth, God, his dog, girls, and whether this week’s stalker has followed him from L.A. I don’t think he could turn his brain off if he wanted to.

Despite the legion of fans trailing him from hotel to hotel, laying siege to each like the Roman army, he is neither fearful nor cocky—he’s hungry, curious, forever reaching intellectually. That may not sound like a big deal, but think of the context: Complete strangers want to **** you, shoot you, be you, buy you, sell you, run their fingers through your hair, watch you have sex, hear you pee, eat chips with you, and kidnap you and stuff you in the trunk of their car. And you? You must know more, more, more about exotic tropical diseases.

Fourteen months later we’re in London. New Moon, the second movie in the Twilightsaga, has set box-office records for largest midnight opening and biggest opening-day gross. Remember Me, Rob’s young-man-in-crisis drama, has wrapped. He has 24 hours before he has to start rehearsals for Bel Ami, based on the Guy de Maupassant novel, in which he plays a bed-hopping social climber.

He is waiting to pick me up in the bar of my hotel. He has ordered himself a pint of beer and, remembering my beverage of choice, a Diet Coke for me. He has the lovely manners of the good son of a good mum.

He says he wants to take me to a particular restaurant nearby, “just a little out-of-the-way place.” So out of the way, it turns out, that after wandering around nearly all of Covent Garden, we can’t find it. He doesn’t seem too surprised, really. Of late he’s been getting lost a lot in his own hometown. But then it’s been a couple of years since he’s actually lived here, and London is confusing as hell anyway.

He doesn’t want to miss anything, which implies a hint of regret. He didn’t always want to be an actor. He modeled. He’s a talented guitarist and keyboard player who has toyed with following his older sister Lizzy into pop music. But he’s a serious type, and his most serious aspirations involved political speech writing. “It’s fascinating. You’d have two or three minutes to affect someone. Make them hear you. Get the message out and maybe it will echo. I quite enjoyed doing press for the first Twilight, because there was a similarity. But after a bit I was ladling it out. If you want people to listen to you, you’d better have something to say. I felt a responsibility to be fascinating. You’re bargaining with the audience. Is this enough for them? And that affects the way you look at art.”

Art. It’s illogical to think he’s not allowed to have ideas about it merely because he has helped a lot of people make a lot of money.

It’s a rare occasion to celebrate Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day on the same day! Without further ado, Twilight Singapore would like to wish all the Chinese readers a very Happy Chinese New Year! Its a New Year and we hope that the year of the Tiger is a good year for all of us! EDIT: (Added by Profit2829) Checkout the ICE HEART @ Times Square!

The heart will be at Times Square till February 22nd and you can check on it till then and see the changes as it melts. New York is sooo cold that I don’t think it’ll melt at all!  You can track it here at Moorhead & Moorhead who designed the sculpture!

Times Square Valentine, 2010

Ice Heart is a 10 foot tall heart constructed of masonry scaled blocks of ice. Kaleidoscopic in nature, the ice blocks pick up the lights, colors and activity of Times Square, feeding off its natural chaos.

Ultimately Ice Heart is a celebration of the temporary nature of the Times Square Valentine installation. Left to run its own course, the heart will slowly transform, as it melts, eventually disappearing completely.

Whilst at Times Square we also checked out the ‘Remember Me’ poster. The billboard was over at 43rd Street.

Breaking Dawn News

An interesting report has been circling in the internet today about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Still not official but interesting nonetheless! Woot!

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Twilight’ Saga’s Final Book ‘Breaking Dawn’ Will Be Made Into 2 Back-To-Back Movies With “High End” Helmer/s by Nikki Finke

I have this from several sources, and it’s definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at “high end” directors. Breaking Dawn is the longest in Stephenie Meyer’s 4-book series lengthwise and it’s the most graphic – presenting birth, attempted murder, death, and of course vampire bites.

…. Summit Entertainment no doubt will save money by making these Twilight Saga movies #4 and #5 back to back. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg (who’s written all the Twilight Saga films) is currently adapting Breaking Dawn.

BUT GossipCop.com has an Exclusive Statement by a representative from Summit about the story above:

The official word given to Gossip Cop from a rep for Summit is, “No decision has been made and as we have said all along we are continuing to work with Stephenie Meyer to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen.”

HOWEVER, a well-placed source tells Gossip Cop dividingBreaking Dawn into two pictures “is the direction that it’s going in.” We’re told that from a practical standpoint, separating the story into two parts and shooting back-to-back is what makes most sense.

Earlier reports seem to be fairly accurate when it comes to timing, specifically, that filming may begin in October.

Am excited!! :)

Ramblings of Twilight Singapore – Books

The Twilight Singapore girls were discussing one day and we thought, while we wait for the latest ECLIPSE news, we humourously thought of creating a post, all about our ramblings. Just to say, you’ll get to know more about us.

So these few weeks we will just babble about random stuff like books, TV, films, music etc. It’ll be getting to know more about us through our likes and dislikes. So this week, we will ramble about our favourite books. We were all brought together through the love of the Twilight Saga books, but this time we would like to ramble about our current and favourite reads.

NASYITA’s Ramblings

Current book I’m reading: Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult

Things break all the time. Day breaks, waves break, voices break. Promises break. Hearts break

A heartfelt and tragic read about a girl diagnosed with a disability from birth and her mother sueing her gynae cum best friend for a wrongful birth. How would you feel when you get to know that after 6 years, your mother suddenly realises that if she was able to diagnose the disability earlier, she wouldn’t have to bear the burden of raising you and live a peaceful and unstressful life? Though I’ve a few more chapters to go, Jodi has a way of catching the reader’s attention about family, life, love and friendship and every page is a page turner. Definitely a good read!

Favourite read: Rosie Dunne aka Where Rainbows End by Cecilia Ahern

Rosie and Alex are destined for each other, and everyone seems to know it but them

This is one one my favourites as I’ve read it so many times and yet it doesn’t bore me. Every time I read it, it gets funnier and you get so involved with the characters that it felt so real. A story between the lives of two best friends, Rosie and Alex. But when one event changes everything, their lives between one another, changed, together with their friends and families. A romantic and hilarious story between two best friends and how fate meddles with their lives. If you’re someone who seeks stories of love, friendship and believes in fate and destiny, then this book is definitely for you.

Recommended reads: I have a lot of books that I would love to recommend and I had a hard time choosing. After much deliberation, these are my choices:  My Sister’s Keeper, Perfect Match and Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult, Every Boy’s Got One by Meg Cabot, True Blood series by Charlaine Harris, Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter

MARIA’s Ramblings

Been kinda in a limbo. In between reads of short story books cos can’t commit to long stories every since Twilight hahaha. Seriously. Usually get my books at my favourite book shop Kinokuniya and sometimes Barnes & Noble.

My favourite so far is ‘Clair De Lune’ cos reading it made such a beautiful picture in my head.

Not for me is the love that knows no restraint, but like the foaming wine that having burst its vessel in a moment would run to waste.

Send me the love which is cool and pure like your rain that blesses the thirsty earth and fills the homely earthen jars.

Send me the love  that would soak down into the centre of being, and from there would spread like the unseen sap through the branching tree of life, giving birth to fruits & flowers.

IZZATI’s Ramblings

Current book I’m Reading: The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold

When all is said and done, killing my mother came easily…

After reading The Lovely Bones, I proceed to read The Almost Moon. Am currently at Chapter 2. There’s nothing much to say for now but like The Lovely Bones, the first chapter of The Almost Moon describes how the narrator, Helen Knightly killed her elderly mother. Yes, her mother! Just what was she trying to do – killing her very own mother?!

I am interested to know what happens after this.

Recommended Read: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

My name was Salmon, like the fish; first name, Susie.

I was fourteen when I was murdered on December 6, 1973.

The Lovely Bones is a novel which you will not know what to expect every time you turn the pages. Susie Salmon was raped and murdered at the age of 14 by her neighbour, Mr. George Harvey. The first chapter focused on how Susie died. It was brutal. I felt for Susie.

As you progress along with her from heaven, you’ll discover much more about her family &  friends and how life changes for everyone after Susie died.

AISHAH’s Ramblings

Current book I’m Reading: The Tipping Point – How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwell

A groundbreaking analysis of how trends are sparked and take hold, Malcolm Gladwell’s book The Tipping Point became an exemplification of the very processes he was describing.

The book describes the various processes and mechanisms of how some trends achieve massive popularity, while others  fade away, have long to been thought to be mysterious and resistant to analysis. However, Gladwell’s explained that there are actually a number of patterns and factors that are at play in almost every trend, ranging from the spread of  diseases to a popularity of a particular children’s television show. If you analyze the evolution of any major phenomenon, the author suggests, you will find that these processes involved are very similar.:

Recommended Books: The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead

The first book of the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. The book starts with Rose Hathaway returning to her school, St. Vladimir’s Academy, with her best friend Lissa Drogmir, a Moroi Vampire Princess. Rose is a Dhamphir, a half-human and half-Moroi, who has been Lissa’s bodyguard while they were on the run for 2 years. Now back at school, Rose and Lissa will have to resume their duties, training as a Moroi bodyguard and learning of Moroi powers respectively.

All I can describe this book is KICK ASS. With Rose’s character, there’s so much female empowerment that I admire and the curriculem in school are interesting as the school teaches on how to body guard you Moroi and even being a safe Moroi yourself. A definite recommended red for those who can’t get enough of this vamp-craze phenomenon. And this is just the beginning. Richelle Mead has published 4 books and 2 more still are in works with one of them coming out in May 2010. I’ve read ll 4 and I seriously can’t wait for the next one.

BESSY’s Ramblings
Currently Reading: Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

Catch-22

Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn’t, but if he was sane he had to fly them.

I’m actually pretty interested with World War II events, having studied it and picked up on it at an early age. Hence my choice in reading Catch-22. It talks about the story of Yossarian, a bombardier, as he works for the US Air Force during World War II. He gets increasingly paranoid as the war carries on, because people whom he doesn’t know are trying to kill him.

Peppered with dry humour and based on the logic paradox that has been titled Catch-22 as well, I strongly recommend this read to anyone who is up for a fast-paced, war-based novel. I’m actually only halfway through the novel but I’m enjoying it a lot so far.

Recommended read: The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger

I was half in love with her by the time we sat down. That’s the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they’re not much to look at, or even if they’re sort of stupid, you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where you hell you are. Girls.

Having read this book before the famously reclusive author J.D. Salinger passed on a month ago, it jumped the list to make it into one of my most treasured books ever. In fact, I think I was pretty lucky to get my hands on a copy of the book with the original cover (above).

It was one of the most controversial novels of the 20th century as it documented two, maybe three, days of a teenage schoolboy named Holden Caulfield. He was a character that composed of all the characteristics of a typical teenager in 1950s America. As Singapore gets more Westernized, I find Holden’s personality more and more applicable in the teenagers of today’s society.

Ultimately, the controversy caused by Holden was that numerous murderers have been connected to the novel, including Mark David Chapman (who shot John Lennon). While some may argue that this piece of work is overhyped and overrated, you might want to judge it for yourself. :D

Caution: Lots of swearing in there.
