Eclipse News

DAVID SLADE has tweeted more updates about fresh out of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse post production!!

Wooooooooo…. he’s giving me the goosebumps! Excited goosebumps!!!

MTV NEWS has Bryce Dallas, Kristen, Robert & Taylor talking about Eclipse.

“I had already read the books. I had actually seen ‘Twilight’ several times, much to my husband’s chagrin,” Howard told MTV News while promoting her upcoming release, “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond.” “Whenever Robert Pattinson would come onscreen, I would grab my husband’s hands and start squeezing, and he’d be like, ‘Stop squeezing my hand!’ “

Though Howard felt intimidated joining the tight-knit cast so close to the start of production, one of her biggest challenges may have been maintaining continuity between Lefevre’s Victoria and her portrayal of the revenge-bent bloodsucker. While Howard and Lefevre share similar physical traits, including signature flaming-red tresses, Howard put much care toward embodying the already-established character.

Thanks a heap Bryce!

From Twilight on Twitter : ” From CW – Thx for 200K! Here is an exclusive, special treat from my personal photo book:”

From his own personal photo book, director Chris Weitz presents a very special inside look for fans into one of the key scenes from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. The images below were taken during Chris’ first scouting trip to Italy, before Montepulciano was selected for the shoot. Enjoy!

“In other words, she sort of ascends through a series of alley ways and streets to the square itself. Here is a shot from the top of the clock tower itself, showing the square from above which, like the throng of visitors to the festival, also happens to be red –” -Chris Weitz

Head on here for more treats from Chris Weitz personal photo book.

Taylor Lautner will be appearing on Saturday Night Live Soon! Woots!

And here’s a still from the show.

Can’t wait for the funny skits they’ll come up with. :D

Eclipse News

I guess some of us are getting what we want with Twilight. I know of some fans who prefer to be as close to the screen to watch Twilight or Twilight Saga: New Moon – well for Eclipse we’re gonna have a chance to watch it on IMAX!!! The sound! The sight!!! OMG!! Utterly HUGE!!

“Twilight” fans have seen Bella and Edward and Jacob over and over again on the big screen, but in 2010 the characters will come to the biggest screens possible.

Summit Entertainment and IMAX announced on Wednesday (Dec. 9) that “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” will premiere on IMAX screens on the same day as its regular theatrical premiere, June 30, 2010.
“Twilight moviegoers will have a whole new way to experience this next installment of the series, with the enhanced image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience putting them IN the movie,” exlains Richie Fay, Summit Entertainment’s President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution, in the statement. “The IMAX release puts us on the event film calendar for 2010, and we’re very excited to work with IMAX to bring a new kind of film to the IMAX theatre network.”

Although it wasn’t filmed with IMAX in mind, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” directed by David Slade (“Hard Candy”), will be remastered for The IMAX Experience with the company’s IMAX DMR technology.

Talk about COOL!! We’d be able to see the full glory of the icy cold mountain where the camp site is. The clearing where the battle with the newborns is fought. OMG! The Wolves already look great on regular screen – wow how awesome would they look on IMAX..
*amazed*
[EDIT]
Hmmm if this post is an IMAX screen then the meadow scene from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse would look like this?

I think I would like it VERY MUCH! Wouldn’t you?

Stephenie Meyer answers fans’ Questions!

Stephenie has recently answer a WHOLE lot of the fan’s questions ever since The Twilight Saga: New Moon has hit the theaters! Questions about her books to her opinion on the movies and even one about Midnight Sun! Here’s a couple of them:

What was your favorite thing about Chris Weitz and how was his interpretation of the books different from Catherine Hardwicke? – Mira N.

My favorite thing about Chris Weitz: everything. Sounds hyperbole-ish, but he’s really that amazing. If you follow along on some of the cast interviews you’ll hear the same thing over and over. We all adore Chris. I would have to say that my very favorite thing about Chris as a director, coming from my unique position, is his passion for being true to the source material. He really immersed himself in the Twilight world and came to the set with the feel of it already in his head. We were very much on the same page. Second thing, he listens really well—to everybody, cast and crew.

In comparing New Moon to Twilight, I would say that the biggest difference in style is that Chris is more classic while Catherine is a little more edgy and modern. I wouldn’t want both movies to be the same, though. I like seeing different interpretations. After all, no two people see the same thing when they read a novel. I enjoy seeing that visually.

After that, I gave up the idea of creating a fake city and just hoped the people of Volterra did not mind a few vampires. When I went to visit a few years back, all the people I talked to were totally fine with the vampires—what had upset them was the fountain. They don’t have one, and think their square is perfect without it.

Do you make any appearances in the New Moon movie? – Mandy, Captain of Official Team Jacob

Nope. I felt really awkward doing the first one, and I still have to cover my eyes for that part of the movie. I decided this time I didn’t want to do anything like that, and it never came up, so problem averted!

My question for you is…. are you at all surprised by the variety in age of your readers? I am 32 years old and absolutely loved your books, and I know I am not alone, in many discussion groups I have found there are 30, 40, even 50 somethings reading twilight. Thanks and keep writing! – Amy B.

Because I wrote Twilight for my twenty-nine-year-old self and not for a future YA audience, it always made sense to me that women my age would get it the same way I did. Are you ever too old to remember falling in love for the first time?

I was wondering what made you choose Italy for the home of the Volturi? Is there a special meaning about Italy in your life or was it a random setting? Thanks :] – Kerry K.

I chose Italy because I needed a place with a really long history. Choosing Volterra itself was a strange thing. I wrote the whole Volturi scene before I’d picked a location for it. For the first time, I was planning to create a fictional city, because at this point, I was starting to realize that people were actually going to read this book, and I was nervous about what the real life citizens of Forks would think, and more especially what the real life people of La Push would think—I’d taken some rather big liberties with their fictional history, and I wasn’t sure if they would find it amusing or irritating. So, to avoid similar moments of panic, I decided to set my clan of ancient ruling vampires in a made up place. I was going to call this place “Volturin,” and I knew it needed to be located in Tuscany about an hour or two from Florence—I’d already written the drive from the airport. I’d also already written my descriptions of the plaza and clock tower and Volturi turret. So I pull up a map of Tuscany, trying to decide if Alice should drive north, south, east, or west, and look at that—there is a city named Volterra just about an hour from Florence. So I google image search Volterra, and the very first picture that comes up is the Volterra clock tower. Chills. I called my sister (who’d already read about my fictional Volturin) and told her to go look at Volterra. She freaked, too, because she’d pictured it the same way, too. It was actually a rather creepy moment.

4) @ Taylor Lautner: Which do you personally prefer – vampires or werewolves?

Submitted on by S 2009/10/27 at 10:24pm

to Chris:

– Are you more to the werewolves or the vampires?

The Twilight Saga: New Moon Opens all over Singapore Today!!!

I felt like I was trapped in one of those terrifying nightmares, the one where you have to run, run until your lungs burst, but you can’t make your body move fast enough. My legs seem to move slower and slower as I fought my way through the callous crowd, but the hands on the huge clock tower didn’t slow. With relentless, uncaring force, they turned inexorably toward the end – the end of everything.

But this was no dream, and, unlike the nightmare, I wasn’t running for my life; I was racing to save something infinitely more precious. My own life meant little to me today.

Alice had said there was a good chance we would both die here. Perhaps the outcome would be different if she weren’t trapped by the brilliant sunlight; only I was free to run across this bright, crowded square.

And I couldn’t run fast enough.

So it didn’t matter to me that we were surrounded by our extraordinarily dangerous enemies. As the clock began to toll out the hour, vibrating under the soles of my sluggish feet, I knew I was too late – and I was glad something bloodthirsty waited in the wings. For in failing at this, I forfeited any desire to live.

The clock tolled again, and the sun beat down from the exact center point in the sky.

Robert Pattinson News [Updated]

A new poster Robert Pattinson’s new film “Remember Me” has surfaced on the net.

Its actually quite lovely …

The movie is scheduled for release in the US on March 12, 2010 not sure yet about Singapore but we will definitely check it out. Yahoo Movies listed it at 18 February which does not make sense.

More Images from the movie and of course the trailer.

More information updates at Remember Me’s Official Facebook page.

[UPDATED] MTV RADIO recently talked to Rob about his plans for the new year.

“I’ve only done one movie outside of the ‘Twilight’ series, ‘Remember Me,’ ” Rob said of his first true post-fame project, a March 12 romantic drama opposite Emilie de Ravin whose shoot was most notable for its security issues. “But even that I did with the same studio, so I guess I’m still a little bit blind as to what my actual economic viability will be outside of the series.”

Undoubtedly, all eyes will be on “Remember Me” when it tests RPattz’s box-office clout in a few months. Following that and June’s “Eclipse,” his fans will have some other high-profile flicks to look out for.

“Before ‘Twilight,’ I did any movie that I got [offered], and you’d try and make the best of it afterwards,” he explained. “But now, you’re expected to come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but also a performance as well. You can’t just mess around. People are like, ‘We’re employing you to be here, as a star and an actor.’ It’s difficult, and it’s scary.”

Vanity Fair has released more outtakes of their photoshoot with Rob for the magazine’s December 2009 issue. Hmmm we’re still waiting for the behind-the-scenes video to surface…

Check them out! Ermm …. Droolworthy Alert

Oh my…. See mmore at ROBsessedPattinson

NEW MOON NEWS – New Moon Box Office Update

MTV

“I think that anytime you have a film like ‘Twilight’ in there– like when ‘The Dark Knight’ [hit theaters], it came in with ‘Mamma Mia,’ [which] did really well… as sort of a counter-programming, and both films just took off. And that’s what you’re seeing with ['New Moon' and 'The Blind Side'],” Bock said.

“Sometimes you get big films… and it creates sort of a box office tsunami, it just breeds moviegoers,” he continued. “[There was a time that a studio] would say, ”Twilight”s opening, let’s not even release our film on that date.’ But that’s becoming less and less traditional now. even if there is a huge film that you know is going to do big business, sometimes you’ll put your film out there and you’ll… feed off of the hype. it just creates a general excitement about going to the movies.”

Read more here.

Asian Economy Korea

The film, which has started a so-called ‘New Moon Syndrome’, has also been faring well on the foreign circuit, making a first-place bow in various countries such as North America, Europe and South America.

MyNews.in (India)

After creating history at the box office with record collection of 140.7 million dollar in the US, ‘New Moon’, the second in the ‘Twilight Saga’ films, is all set to hit Indian screens on December 4.

‘New Moon’ will be released in India on 300 screens by PVR Pictures.

The release on 300 prints makes it one of the largest release for a Hollywood film in the country.

Sources in PVR Pictures said ‘New Moon’, second part of the saga, will be released in India with over 300 prints and for the first time, PVR Pictures will be releasing the movie in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu as well.

Titled ‘Amavasya’ in Telugu and ‘Digilan’ in Tamil, ‘New Moon’ has achieved milestones never seen before.

The movie has created a worldwide history by achieving No.1 position through its box office collections.

The Guardian, UK

The significance of New Moon’s heavyweight performance – it’s grossed $474m worldwide in less than two weeks – cannot be understated. At a time when the independent sector is overcrowded and perilous, a success story like this provides a welcome boost to everyone. Producers, financiers and distributors will remain committed when they are reminded that there is the potential for quality non-studio fare to deliver the kind of blockbuster results that we’re used to seeing from the Warner Bros and Sonys of this world. It’s a similar story overseas, too. Summit’s well established international sales division licensed rights to New Moon all over the world and the movie’s runaway success sends out a message to international distributors that independent cinema made at a price with high-value elements (cast, script, director, production values) can prosper. It’s a message that goes a long way towards sustaining a vibrant international marketplace, which is vital in these uncertain times.

New Moon News – New Moon on Channel 5… again!

Woot! The best part of the Twilight Saga: New Moon debut in Singapore is that we see everything Twilight on our buses, bus stops, mall, magazines, newspapers, local radio &  TV. :) Syok! We hope you guys are enjoying yourselves with it all and converting your friends who have not heard of the books or movies.

As we’ve mentioned last week, Mediacorp’s Channel 5 – The Official TV Channel for The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be showcasing something special for us! Just like the one we had last year for Twilight!!! YUP!!

The Making of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will be shown on Tuesday, 8 Dec right before Singapore Idol at 7.30pm.

So MARK your calendar, TUNE IN because Channel 5 will only be broadcasting it ONCE!!

Head on here to read all about Utt’s Trip to Los Angeles for the Press Junket!!

Robert Pattinson was my first interviewee, he said I looked like his mate from school. Bonus points for me to tell all the tweens screaming Patt fans out there but hey just saying I was going to interview the cast I had to regret not wearing earplugs.

Ashley Greene was pretty and nice left an impression on me for being down to earth and engaging. Taylor was not that buff but then again he did the interview with his shirt on, Kristen looked like a vampire with her short black locks and she reminded me of a young Jodie Foster.

All in all they were very proud of this 2nd installment of the saga and it definitely plays out like a movie series and it doe’snt need my nudge to say go see it, it’s already a sure sell.   The timing is right after the Twilight freshness. So enjoy!

We learned from Channel 5 that some of our questions were asked but they will not be airing the full interview because the interviews were edited into 1 minute interstitials that we have seen broadcasted on 19th & 23rd December.

[EDIT] THIS QUESTION WAS ASKED TO ALL THE CAST AND CAN BE SEEN IN THE 2ND INTERSTITIAL:

“If you weren’t playing Jacob Black – Which do you personally prefer – vampires or werewolves?”

WE ARE SO DAMN PROUD THAT WE GOT A SHOUT OUT FROM ROBERT PATTINSON & TAYLOR LAUTNER!!

You can watch Interstitials 1 AND 2 again on Channel 5′s website. We are not allowed to embed it on our website because the videos are property of MediaCorp.

So watcha waiting for? Head on there and watch it in FULL SCREEN and see how Robert Pattinson looks straight at you and said, Thank you Singapore!!

Hehe we like!! Those who attended New Moon Festa watched the Interstitial of Robert’s Shoutout on a huge screen!!

HUGE THANKS TO PROMO 5 FOR THE INFORMATION!
