Due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand, Chop Shop/Atlantic Records have announced a new release date for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK
. By far the most anticipated soundtrack of the year, the compilation will now be released this Friday, October 16th, four days earlier than originally scheduled! If you have pre-ordered the album, you can expect it to arrive on that date or shortly afterwards.
In addition, we would like to exclusively announce that in the physical CDs, the booklet folds out into a poster! The image is below. Make sure to head out on Friday to get your copy of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON Soundtrack!

New Moon News – Lykke Li’s Possibility premiered on BillBoard.
Hey you guys! Wanna listen to Lykke Li’s ‘Possibility’ from the New Moon Soundtrack?! It has premiered exclusively at Billboard.com!

Lykke was recently interviewed on MTV.com
So Li sat down at her piano and wrote “Possibility,” a very maudlin song about love and pain and, ultimately, death. Lots of death. Like we said, she doesn’t operate like most of her pop contemporaries.
“I get very visual when I make the songs. It’s really quite serious. It’s almost like a fever haze. It’s very repetitive, like a mood you go into. But it’s really serious, because, if you’re really, really in love, and somebody leaves you, that’s a very serious thing,” Li explained. “And so the lyrics are like, ‘When you walk, you walk like a thief with blood on your hands, because I die when you leave me.’ It’s in this limbo that, when the song is done, you don’t know if I’ve survived or not. It’s very much like a fever, like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s hot, she’s going to die, maybe she did die?’ It lingers on, into the next life. It’s dark.”

What is this video competition about?
Here’s your chance to show us YOUR favourite scene from the ’New Moon’ book! Simply join our New Moon Video Competition and you may stand a chance to win attractive prizes! Read below for the important details.
Who can participate?
Anyone! Each team is limited to a maximum of 4 persons. If you’re under the age of 18, do get permission from your parents/guardian before joining the contest.
What is the process for submitting my video into the competition?
#1: Re-enact your favourite scene from the ‘NEW MOON’ BOOK and film it. The total running time should not exceed 120 seconds, including the titles and crew credits.
[IMPORTANT] - Video should contain 3 elements from the list of elements given: Muffins, Scarf & Gloves, Porsche, New Moon book, Red and Sparklings. The 3 elements used can appear in any part of your video. It does not have to be in the context of the book.
#2: Upload your video to YouTube. Tag your video with the following tags:‘Twilight Singapore’, ‘New Moon Video Contest’. Do include other tags that fits your video.
#3: Email us the URL to your video together with the entry form (see below) at twilightsingaporeexclusive@gmail.com
What other information is required when I submit my video?
Download this entry form and submit it to us as an email attachment.
What type of video file format should I use?
Do film it in the highest resolution as possible. Kindly refer to You Tube’s Handbook for more details. Note: Do NOT delete your master copy of the film as it might be needed it the future.
When is the deadline?
Deadline to submit your video is 18th November 2009, 1159 Hrs. Those who fail to meet this deadline will be disqualified.
What else do I need to know?
Participants must use their own filming equipments and editing facilities for this competition.
Video submission should be appropriate for all ages. Any video that that has any of the following references (sex, violence, drugs use, racial slurs, vulgarities) will not be accepted.
Do not submit a material that you do not own or have the rights/permission to use. Your video should be as original and creative. Do not submit a video that you have submitted for another competition elsewhere.
Each team is NOT allowed to submit more than one entry.

Access Hollywood has an interview with Kristen Stewart and a video from her Allure photoshoot.
And while millions of “Twi-hards” would give anything to share the screen with Robert Pattinson, Kristen also revealed that she’s not impressed with the fame that comes along with starring in one of Hollywood’s hottest franchises.
“What people told me [when I signed on to ‘Twilight’] was that there would be a lot of fan girls, people who love the books,” she explained. “But people don’t tell you that as long as you’re living in Los Angeles, it’s a show every second of your day. It’s like the Kristen show. And it’s so boring!”

The number one thing that Ashley wants in a guy is independence. “I’m independent,” the dark haired actress said. “If a guy is too clingy or needy, I actually get afraid of hurting him – and I can’t deal with that.” We imagine that there are guys lined up waiting for Ashley to hurt them, and not like a vampire!

Eclipse News
Lainey Gossip has posted images and a video that were taken during the filming on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. She claims that the clip/photos were of the filming of the Opening Sequences of Eclipse where human Riley is being hunted down by Victoria.
Lainey also reports on the tussle between the Canadians (ie British Columbia) and Americans (ie Portland Oregon) who are trying to woo the Twilight Saga production to be done in their respective provinces – which in turn will bring in much needed business and of course – moolah!
Anyways, here’s the footage and check out how good Xavier Samuel’s acting is!

Answering much asked photo question: I use a few camera formats, I rely on my Nikkor lenses, acquired over the years mostly from the 1960s. I started shooting these pics with a D80 and now use a D700. I also Use an analogue film camera, a Nikon F3, all with Nikkor lenses.

New Moon News – Japan will see New Moon first!
Breaking News!!
According to Twilighters’ Square, Japan will have 02 events in conjunction with the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon!
An advanced screening of New Moon and a Fan Meeting with Robert Pattinson & Chris Weitz in Tokyo!
Fans in France WILL NOT be the first to see The Twilight Saga: New Moon!! It will be the fans in Japan!! Come to think of it Japan was one of the last country that opened Twilight (earlier this year) and now they will be the first!! Japan will have an advanced screening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon on the 17th of November.
Fans in Japan can buy the Twilight Ultimate Ticket for the advanced screening which will be sold on Sunday 18th October. It will cost 10,000 Yen (SGD155). Its limited to 400 seats only. Part of the proceeds of the sale will be donated an educational body.
Point of sale : Ticket Pia /Chiketto pia (Actual location to be determined – so we’ll keep a look out for it!)
The advance screening of New Moon will be at Shinjuku Picadilly cinema.
Details- Date: 11/17 (Tue)
Hours: Open 18:00 ~, 19:00 - Movie will start
Incidentally Shinjuku Picadilly has one of the biggest movie memorabilia shop in Tokyo. [To get there go on Marunouchi Line and it is one stop from Shinjuku Station called Shinjuku sanchome Exit B]. We have also learnt that they will start selling New Moon Memorabilia on 30th October so anybody on holiday in Japan on that day head on to Shinjuku Picadilly to get exclusive Japanese New Moon stuff!
Chris Weitz and Robert Pattinson are scheduled to be in Japan from November 2-3rd to promote New Moon! Which makes sense because we’ve been hearing news that Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on the other hand will be promoting New Moon in Europe and other locations. Japan was one of the last countries that Twilight opened in (April this year) and now it will be the first country that the New Moon promos will kick off!

Here are a couple of recent interviews done with Robert Pattinson.
First up is with the Sydney Morning Herald: Interview With A Vampire
Before Twilight, Pattinson was on the verge of quitting the acting game in favour of music. “With acting, a lot of the time you’re doing scenes you don’t really relate to and you don’t really know why you’re being cast half the time,” he laughs. He “understood” music. He’s been playing the piano since he was five. He composes and sings. It’s second nature. Acting isn’t. He still feels “awkward in front of a camera”.
Pattinson has a lovely voice and performed two songs in Twilight – something he now regrets. “When the first film came out I felt like a complete tosser,” he says. “It looked like I was trying to be cool or something, like Eminem. You know, be in a movie and then do a song for the soundtrack. But I didn’t look cool, I just looked ridiculous.”
Pattinson’s lack of self-confidence is staggering yet endearing. Compliment his singing and he’ll change the subject. Compliment his performance and he’ll tell you you’re bonkers. But he’ll stick to acting for now only because he’d “starve to death” as a musician.
But now he has to go. A plane is waiting. He yawns and looks tired. So how does he unwind?
“I don’t really need to do stuff to relax or get away because all my interests are part of my job,” he says. “Like I’ll watch movies to be inspired to do other movies. I read books to be inspired. I listen to music to be inspired to write music. Everything I do is to create something.”
Pattinson’s next film is Unbound Captives. He met Jackman in Japan recently for a little bonding ahead of the film. “We went karaoke singing,” he laughs. “We were singing Abba songs, it was pretty funny. It was sort of an Abba song sing-off, you know, last man standing.”
Who won? “I think he did, only because he can drink more than me and still sing in tune. He’s a cool guy and I’m really looking forward to that film.”
So are we. The Sexiest Man Alive meets the Sexiest Man on the Planet – now that should be interesting.

Tell us the truth, has being famous helped you get more girls?
(laughs) Yes and no. At first, girls can feel attracted to that, but then they realise you’re a real human being, with flaws and qualities, and there can be a certain disappointment. Many times girls find out that everything about you was just a fantasy. I think, in the end, I’m just like any other guy. I can’t be what everybody else wants me to be, I’m just me. And you can find many girls that have preconceived ideas of you, or imaginary things and that can be a problem, because when people find out you’re not really like that, they are disappointed. I have to confess that before making this movie I believed that the being famous could help me get more girls, but then I realized that is not as easy as I thought it was. In the end, if you like a girl, you still have to work hard at winning her over! (laughs)What other things did you have to learn?
That I have to be very careful with what I say and the information I share. I’ve learned not to share too much. But that’s a life lesson that anyone can learn from. You have to think things through before you open your mouth.
Speaking of Edward, what do you think you have in common with him?
I don’t know. I’m very sensitive and shy. I have supernatural powers too (laughs). No, i wish I did. But I’m too normal.What are we going to see with this new movie?
I can’t say much because it’s a secret. The idea is to surprise people and eventhough it’s based on the books, Chris Weitz gave it his touch, so you have to go see it! What I can assure you is that it will be visually stunning. chris is a genius and he loves to explore the New Moon world to the fullest. You can’t miss it. I haven’t seen it and I’m dying to see it.

Answer to Week 5’s Question: Alice first came back to Forks with the intention of comforting Charlie about the “death” of Bella. She had a vision of Bella jumping off a cliff and assumed that she had committed suicide. Knowing that her visions are an imperfect art, she waited and waited to see if she would have another vision of Bella resurfacing but she didn’t and presumed Bella dead.
Her intention of returning to Forks was to help out with Charlie. Thinking that it was too late to save Bella, she had hoped that she would be able to help Charlie cope with Bella’s death. She had no foreseen the existence of werewolves or that her gift would be rendered useless in their presence. That was why she didn’t have the vision of Bella being saved from the waters as she had been rescued by Jacob, a werewolf who obscured her visions.
Alice and Charlie were in the kitchen, him fixing her breakfast when they had their conversation. Alice was the one who initiated it by asking how Bella reacted to the news of the Cullens’ leaving and Edward breaking up with her.
Charlie responded by telling how bad it was and how it made him feel helpless. There was nothing he could do as Bella remained in her catatonic state. She refused to be moved to Florida and when he thought that she was finally getting better, he realized that she was getting worse. She basically closed herself from the world, refusing to engage in any activity that could remotely, possibly remind her of Edward.
Their father-daughter relationship became even more fragile. Charlie, already finding it difficult to communicate with his daughter from the beginning, now had to worry about saying the wrong things, “making her flinch”. He had to watch as Bella became more anti-social and he told Alice about Bella’s nightmare at night, that he could “still hear her screaming in her sleep”.
They later talked about how Bella seemed to be improving and Charlie credits that to Jacob’s help. He honestly believes that Jacob and Bella will make a good pair, even if Bella’s pain will never go away. Charlie worries that Alice’s return might somehow affect Bella in a detrimental way. She apologizes and Charlie then hopes that Alice’s return would be beneficial instead.
Lastly, Charlie asked Alice about Edward, in a subtle manner, doing his best to conceal his anger. He doesn’t want Edward back in Forks and when Alice told him that he was last heard in South America, he believes that Edward is having fun there. This is the only time when we see Alice somewhat angry as she tells Charlie not to make any assumptions before their conversation ended.

Twilight Singapore Visits The Volvo Showroom!
Just recently, we (read: Nasyita, Aishah, Maria & myself) visited the Volvo Showroom located at 249 Alexandra Road. Bessy couldn’t join us for the ultimate Volvo experience as she was feeling unwell 
We met up with Sabrina Sng who is the Marketing Manager of SM Motors Pte Ltd. SM Motors Pte Ltd is the sole distributor of the Volvo cars here in Singapore. Sabrina was cool enough to let us have a “feel” of what is it like to be in the Volvo XC30 and Volvo XC60. Woots!!!
