New Moon News
Here’s Chris Weitz as he reveals more about New Moon:
He explains more about the use of colour in the film as compared to Twilight. (Remember the blue tint?
) Plus a little bit more on Italy and the Volturi. Read the full article here.
Next, Jackson Rathbone says that the Volturi are ‘Nice to See’. Woots!
MTV: Out of the new characters joining the franchise for “New Moon,” which is your favorite?
Jackson Rathbone: My favorite character in “New Moon” that wasn’t in “Twilight”? I guess my favorite character in “New Moon” is a collective — the Volturi. It’s one of those things that’s really nice to see, these decadent older vampires that run this vampire society, if you will. I think they’re an amazing group of actors that we were able to get for the film, and they are very scary and intimidating. They’re all perfect — I mean, Dakota Fanning is a terrifying Jane; absolutely terrifying.
New Moon News

Larry Carroll of MTV (also most respected journalist for Twilight fans cos he actually knows Twilight material & Twilight fans well) has now reviewed : The New Moon Kissing Scene!
In the “Twilight” Nation, every leaked shot is cause for celebration, every new piece of footage is reason to skip school, and every new glimpse of Robert Pattinson is the highlight of a given week. It’s no surprise, then, that the Internet is abuzz with a never-before-seen clip from “New Moon” that features a scintillating smooch. OME, indeed.
“It’s still my birthday,” Bella (Kristen Stewart) asks in an early scene from the November 20 “Twilight” sequel, noticeably swallowing her fears over a blossoming romance with vampire Edward Cullen. “Can I ask one thing? Kiss me.”
The two star-crossed lovers swap spit for 14 seconds, each moaning to convey their mutual desire and sense of danger. Edward doesn’t say a single word during the clip, but he doesn’t need to.
For those outsiders who accused Pattinson of less-than-stellar acting in the first “Twilight” film, the clip seems to promise that the fast-rising heartthrob is a lot more than a pretty face. For the millions who long to similarly lock lips with Edward Cullen in front of Bella’s beaten-up truck, the scene is a dream come true — glimpsed briefly in the “New Moon” trailers but far more potent when played out as a whole.
As Twilighters know, the scene represents a rare moment of peace between Edward and Bella, a calm before the “New Moon” storm that is yet to come. And in the eyes of those fans, November 20 can’t come soon enough.
Thanks to Mr.Pattinson.com for the screen caps!!

WOOOOW!!!
CHECK OUT This VOLVO ADVERTISEMENT!!!!
Scenes from Twilight and New Moon are incorporated into the advertisement for the C30 & XC60.
Oh btw, Edward Cullen Alert …. Walking In SLOW MOTION!!
This reminds me of Twilight Singapore’s Visit to the Volvo Showroom!
Here’s an interesting article from MediaPost.com : Volvo Backs Star Turn With ‘Twilight: New Moon’
Volvo is launching an international promotion around “Twilight: New Moon,” the second installment of Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight” motion picture series, premiering on Nov. 20.
In the romance film, vampire Edward Cullen drives Volvo’s XC60 crossover. Volvo’s C30 3-door coupe was featured in the first movie, but this is the first of the films in which Volvo is actually marketing around the car’s star turn.
“It was a missed opportunity in the first film because the car had actually four minutes in the film, which is unheard of in product placement,” says Linda Gangeri, Volvo’s national advertising manager. “It did really well without us doing anything, so with the second film we worked with the studio to develop a global program.”
“What we have learned is these fans for this series are so fanatical that the minute you deviate from the story in any way they are not happy. All of the creative you see will be centered on the film, so the 30-second TV spot will use footage from the film that incorporates the car, and the online game is all about the story.” Volvo will host clips from the film on the Web site as well.
The film is the right property for Volvo, per Gangeri, because it skews young, and allows Volvo to get outside the “safety” envelope that has defined the brand for consumers for years.
“What happened with the C30 in the first ‘Twilight’ film was it drew interest among 20- to-30-year-olds and people who had never considered Volvo before,” she says. “And while the books started out appealing to a teen audience, it has grown exponentially. Women of all ages — they are reading the book. It does relate to what we are trying to do with brand, since we are perceived as ‘safe.’ This movie gives us an audience of people who haven’t acknowledged us before and lets us break out of the paradigm of being seen only as a safety brand.”
According to Gangeri, Volvo’s XC60 wasn’t brought into the movie through deal-making, but because author Stephenie Meyer’s brother suggested it. “He is very much a car nut; he was charged with deciding which characters drove what in the movie. The Volvo was chosen for Edward because he’s the hero — a protector who takes care of Bella, yet he wants to have something exciting and fast and fun,” she says.

Eclipse News

Limelife.com has got an Exclusive interview with Julia Jones who just stepped off the plane from her filming stint in Vancouver for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Here’s Part ONE of the interview.
LimeLife: We heard that there were open casting calls for Eclipse. How exactly did you score the part of Leah Clearwater?
Julia Jones: The casting director I’ve had a relationship with for a number of years. She actually just called us up and I went in and auditioned for the director David Slade and for her, and came back about a week later and read for some people from Summit and David again and some of the producers. And then I waited for about a month before I heard anything, and you’re right, in that time they were doing huge casting calls and going up to Canada. I think they accepted tapes from anybody so really anyone in the world could put themselves on tape and potentially be seen by the casting people.
LimeLife: Okay, so basically you were tapped on the shoulder to audition for the biggest cinema craze of our time. What kind of relationship did you have with the Twilight series at that time?
Julia Jones: It’s interesting because I hadn’t read any of the books before I got the audition. I of course was aware of it, I have good friends who have been – I think “obsessed” is the right word – for quite some time. (Laughs.) Then when I got the call for the audition, I actually had a very serious visceral reaction. My heart started beating fast, it’s a very unusual thing but I think on some level I think I sort of felt like I knew that this was going to be something important and probably life-changing.
LimeLife: Julia, you were cast with a pretty dynamic and somewhat complex character. Can you tell us about Leah Clearwater?
Julia Jones: Yeah, totally. First of all she’s the only werewolf who’s a female, which is in itself a very cool thing, but she has this complicated backstory where she is heartbroken because the head of the pack Sam Uley left her for her best friend and her cousin. So in addition to that she’s dealing with all the changes that you have in your body when you become a wolf, and as a girl there’s really nobody who knows what’s happening to her – she’s really alone and out there and heartbroken at the same time. And it makes her very angry and mean, and really she’s just in a lot of pain and she doesn’t know how to ask for help so she lashes out.
LimeLife: What did you bring to Leah’s character? Did you relate to her?
Julia Jones: The heartbreak is a very universal emotion and most of us have felt that – I have. So that was clearly part of it. But also just being so caught up in what’s going on in your world emotionally that you can’t connect to the outside world, that’s something that’s a hard thing. Anytime you go through something dark and painful, it makes you want to just withdraw from the world, except you can’t. I explored what that’s like a lot when I was preparing.
Read the complete interview here. Limelife will bring us Part Two of the interview on Thursday!

New Moon News – Chris Weitz Wants To Make You Cry!

Chris Weitz wants to make you cry big time watching New Moon!! Looks like the New Moon director worked really hard on the ‘romance part’ of the story which we missed in Twilight cos it happened just so fast!
“We’ve tried our best to deliver on the romantic scenes in the film, and I would like to be able to produce more tears than any movie before, if possible,” Weitz told PEOPLE at the Hollywood Film Festival’s Hollywood Awards Monday of capturing moments in the Twilight saga’s love triangle. “If we could only weigh them with some kind of cubic tear measure!”

He adds, the intense level of attention – including speculation about cast members’ love lives – was challenging for everyone. “To be honest, even making the movie is under a tremendous amount of scrutiny now, so that when the cast went back to Vancouver there were cameras
everywhere,” he said. “Everyone knows where every set is going to be. It goes with the Internet and all the information is out there all the time, and whenever one of them is spotted it’s immediately Twittered.”
..Nevetheless, Weitz thinks the New Moon stars are gracefully dealing with the attention. “I think that they handle it very well really. They’re smart kids – I can say that because I’m 40 – and they’ve got good heads on their shoulders. So they’ll be all right.”

Well I say – BRING IT ON CHRIS WEITZ!!!
(….Actually we really want you to!)

New Moon News

The New Zealand Herald has a great new interview with Robert Pattinson. Thanks to RobPattzNews for the heads up!
Pattinson hopes his Twilight role will leave him without the typecasting that Radcliffe will surely face. “I worked on Harry Potter for 11 months and I couldn’t imagine doing that for all those years. I don’t know how those guys have stayed sane. I would go completely crazy, hardly being able to do anything else for so long.”
Pattinson was contracted to do the four Twilight movies and once Eclipsewraps up in Vancouver, only Breaking Dawn remains to be filmed. “They were all filmed quickly and painlessly,” he says.
The much-anticipated second instalment, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, is in cinemas next month. In the flesh, Pattinson only vaguely resembles Edward Cullen because he is far from being a tortured soul himself. A lot of the image is created through posturing, make-up and that mop of tousled hair. “I wear contact lenses for the character and in the first movie I wore a bit of lipstick but in New Moon I don’t. They’ve changed my look in this one. I don’t pluck my eyebrows so much in this one, either.”
Is he wearing make-up today? “Naaa,” he replies disdainfully, and seems pleased that New Moon is aimed more towards males. “This was always my favourite book. New Moon will be a lot more relatable for guys, whereas it was quite difficult for me to express all those emotions in Twilight. I think it’s difficult for guys to accept those kind of emotions.”
Given that expectations are running so high, he approached reprising the role with trepidation. “I was really worried I wouldn’t know how to do it again, but I have a natural chemistry going on with Kristen and doing the sequel was so easy. She always says she pretty much got me the part, but I don’t really believe her,” he says with a smile.

Pattinson seems the most unlikely heart-throb material as he really has grungy tastes and disdain for the high life. But, while he maintains he doesn’t like fast cars (his father used to sell them) and that he is single, he was photographed driving a Porsche leaving his co-star Kristen Stewart’s house. Maybe they were learning their lines or it could even be a set-up. It wouldn’t be the first relationship created to sell a movie.
Though the idea of his being single seems all the more likely given that he probably hasn’t any energy for a relationship. (Twilight cast member, Anna Kendrick, confirmed his single status in an interview last month.) Pattinson has so little time to do anything but work. “I’m working almost every day this year,” he confirms.
“I had three days off betweenRemember Me and Eclipseand then I’ve had to start learning Comanche and bareback riding for Unbound Captives. I don’t only want to do the same part. I’m doing Bel Ami, based on the Guy de Maupassant novel in January as well, and I don’t really know how I’m going to fit that in. I have to gain weight – but I don’t think they’ll let me put on much as I have to shoot the final Twilight movie afterwards. I have to look older, as the character Georges Duroy has been living hard for a good six years just getting drunk all the time. So I want to look a bit haggard.”

New Moon News
Foforks.com has an interview with Daniel Cudmore. Read it all here:
Ok, so now about that terrible, horrendous, no-words-for-it scene when you beat the shizz out of The Sparkle One in New Moon, how did you feel about beating up our most beloved creature known as Edward? How did you sleep that night knowing that thousand of hearts had been broken and that now you are the hero of those Twilight widows? (FYI, those who girlfriends and wives were stolen by Mr. Edward and wanted to beat him up themselves lol)
- Haha, it was a fun fight scene to work on and Robert really liked doing as much of the fight as he could, I slept like a baby afterwards. We’ll see how everyone feels after the movie comes out, and if they don’t like my character, then i did a good job.
We already saw the WolfPack and Edward shirtless a number of times, and you know that we want to be fair with everyone and all, so is there any way that we could get Volturi (minus Marcus because well… he’s scary as hell lol ) on that train too? And also you’ve said once that while filming the scene when you fight with Edward you ripped your pants 4 times, is that a special feature that we could see when the New Moon dvd comes out? haha
-Haha, the Volturi very rarely are shirtless, so i don’t think that will happen anytime soon. As for the ripped pants…I don’t think that will be seen on the dvd since my coat covered it up.
Meet Chad Hudson….the events planner from CHE. Chad and his team will be responsible for the smooth operation of the New Moon premiere party.
Chad explains that they are very busy right now preparing for the anticipated premiere party for “New Moon,” the “Twilight” sequel. “It’s exciting for us and also a lot of work. We work hard to make things perfect for those involved in film projects,” says Hudson. Chad also introduced me to his staff, which includes from left to right, Anthony Saracino, Chad himself, Paul Boisvert, production lead Travis Jackson, who works for 15/40 Productions, Mark Cornelsen and transportation lead Brad Levine, who is at B Production and who is just handsome enough that he may find himself being cast in the next “Twilight” production when the film’s producers get a look at him.
Find out more about Chad and his team here!
tMF features Chris Weitz & New Moon! A great read as we say hello to the New Moon month soon
In a recent interview, it was noted that “Chris Weitz, who also writes and produces, sometimes with his brother Paul, had done a fantasy adaptation in 2007′s “The Golden Compass” and felt a connection to the material.” Also, there is one particular segment of the moviegoing public that Summit wants to impress – the male audience who have been lukewarm (another word might be hostile) in their reception of Twilight.
In this article, tMF will also attempt to find some answers to three specific questions: Can he make a difference and give the fans what they really want? Can he entice this ‘hostile’ group into watching New Moon? Can Weitz level the playing field between Taylor Lautner and the very popular Robert Pattinson?
