Twilight News (Version 2)

Hollywood.com published an interview with Charlie Bewley. He talks about New Moon, fellow cast mate – Robert Pattinson and…fame too:

Charlie Bewley

“Rob, I feel sorry for him a little bit,” Bewley says. “I feel for him, because he’s like a paparazzi fugitive right now. He can’t leave his house. He’s the most photographed person in the world.”

“I’m not in that kind of like Zac Efron youth zone anymore,” he says, “I’m pushing through … I don’t really have time for anything else while I’m getting where I want to go. And then when I get there, I’ll start enjoying things I used to enjoy.”

Admitting that it’s odd to be adored just by virtue of the (very well-known) character he plays, Bewley says, “It’s ridiculous. Like ‘I love you, I’m your biggest fan.’ How? My mum’s my biggest fan, or my sister or someone like that. They know me. [The fans are] just very not fickle. They look at you like, ‘Wow, he’s attractive.’

Rob is featured in GQ Style Magazine! Check out Pattinson Online for the complete scans:

New Moon News – Quileute Nation of La Push

New Moon News (Updated)

We’ve posted Reelzchannel’s continuing features of Twilight Weekly Spotlight and now they have an Exclusive Look a New Moon’s Quileute Nation.

Eversince Stephenie Meyer introduced the Quileute Nation to the world with her Twilight Saga, legions of fans have become interested in the Nation and its legend of a tribe descended from wolves. And while the Quileute have welcomed most fans to La Push, the Nation hasn’t granted the media access to gather footage and imagery within the tribal lands.

That is why we are so honored and excited that ReelzChannel was allowed to capture the Nation’s rich heritage and cultural traditions during a recent visit.

Thanks to Reelzchannel for a great coverage!!

….When I heard that Chris decided not only to include Satellite Heart in my favourite scene in New Moon, but also in the soundtrack, I was-pardonthe pun- over the moon. I can’t wait to see it in the movie….”

TwilightersAnonymous has posted that Robert Pattinson is on the cover of SciFi magazine’s December issue.

SciFi

It’s titled “Love the One You’re With” using the original NM poster as the two-page opening spread and includes many of the previously released press pix (i.e. Bella/Edward almost-kiss, Jacob in the rain, Carlisle & injured Bella), a lot in 5 x 7 or above. Written by David Grove, who was apparently on the Vancouver set at some point of NM filming, as he speaks about watching 100 high school extras at the junior high doubling for Forks High, singing “Happy Birthday” to Bella as she exits her truck. “The past year has been insane and psychotic,” he quotes Stewart. “It’s surreal to be playing Bella a second time, and I feel like I’m growing up with her.” (pg. 44) The sky then gets sunny, and Weitz moves the production inside to shoot until the clouds return.

BTW, this magazine is sold at Kinokuniya. Please call to check if the issue is available.

MTV has reported that they were told, the new New Moon posters revealed yesterday

Will primarily be used for outdoor bus shelters and other spots, primarily in New York and Los Angeles, that feature outdoor posters. There’s no word on the exact locations of the posters, so for now you’ll just have to soak it all in on the Web.

This reminds me of what Shaw did for Twilight last year! Twilight themed Mall, Buses, and MRT station!

Bluewater Productions is the independent comic production studio that published Female Force, a comic biography, which featured Stephenie Meyer over a month ago. Female Force is a graphic novel that offers a broad examination of strong and influential women who are shaping modern history. So far they have published biographies on such influential women as Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Palin and Princess Diana. Now Bluewater Productions have teamed up with 98331 Gear (a Twilight online merchandise store based in Forks, Washington – 98331 is Forks’ postcode) to release an Exclusive 2nd Edition of highly popular Female Force comic featuring Stephenie Meyer.

The comic, written by Ryan Burton (“Flying Saucers vs The Earth”) examines Meyer’s rise to popularity, her “Twilight” saga novels, the launching of the successful movie franchise and her future plans. According to Burton, a very recognizable and iconic vampire will serve as the story’s narrator.

SM2ndFForce

“We are very excited about our cover, we feel the artist really took our request to be different to heart in designing it. Already we have people asking when the graphic novels will be available for purchase. And those of you who want to have something just a bit more exclusive we will also be offering a very limited edition foil cover. There will only 100 of these EVER made so go get your hands on them while you can as they most definitely not last”

Moving on.. another interesting news on the New York Post but first the photo (!!)

NYPostSummitStory

Summit is also likely to pursue smaller deals for film library assets or overseas independent production companies, these sources said. The studio, which was formed in April 2007 and has access to more than $1 billion in funding from Merryll Lynch and a consortium of investors, could also build or buy its way into television and online-content production. Summit already has an output deal for its movies in place with Showtime.

Known primarily as a seller of international distribution rights, Summit gained notoriety on the production side by scooping up the rights to Stephenie Meyer’s teenage vampire series, “Twilight,” after Viacom’s Paramount Pictures relinquished them.

The first Twilight movie, which cost only $37 million to make, grossed nearly $400 million at the worldwide box office and made teen idols out of stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Industry observers estimate that Twilight-related consumer products, excluding books, generated nearly $500 million in revenue worldwide, of which Summit receives a high single- to low double-digit percentage.

Read more here.

[UPDATED] Summit’s Response to the report above.

Team Summit

You may have already read or heard about a piece in today’s NY Post that Summit is close to putting Morgan Stanley on retainer to help the studio grow its business and advise on possible transactions designed to take our company to the next level. While the Board and Senior Management are in discussions with the investment bank, no formal plans have been made as to how we would expand Summit and its platform. We have all built a great company over the past two years and we feel fortunate to be in the position to now look beyond the initial goals we have achieved and plan the next chapter in the studio’s journey.

Twilight News

twilight-news-version21

Here’s a very interesting article by Anne Helen Petersen writer of Celebrity Gossip, Academic Style.

ksmatters

….Ultimately, the Stewart star image emerges as a hybrid between the inaccessible — the hipster Stewart — and the wholly accessible — Bella as near-universal point of identification. For in the narrative of Twilight, Bella is crafted as an almost non-personality…besides the fact that she is clumsy and likes cooking dinner for her father, there are very few specifics as to her looks, her hobbies, etc. Indeed, Bella functions as a cipher into which any reader — mom, daughter, whatever — may insert themselves.  Hence the widespread Edward fascination: when so many women can identify so closely with the female protagonist, it’s no wonder that her love interest becomes the newest heartthrob, inspiring, in several cases, truly fanatic and destructive behavior.  Thus: Stewart may be too cool for you, but Bella is you….

….The producers of Twilight are keenly aware of how a spectre of real-life romance will appease fans who have long willed such a connection to exist.  As such, they have legislated how Stewart can appear in public: when she was officially dating her (supposedly now ex-) boyfriend Michael Angarano, she was not permitted to be photographed holding his hand or being intimate.  Why? Because it would serve as proof that she was not, in fact, involved in a backstage relationship with her one and only love,Edward Cullen Robert Pattinson….

….Stewart and Pattinson matter, then, because love — and our fantasies of what love looks like — matters.  No matter how silly you think Twilight fans are, fantasies — whether they involve Star Trek, Megan Fox, or drafting individual players onto football teams and competing with friends across the country — matter.  What we think about when we’re not living our lives — how we’d like our lives to be, the ways we project our perfect selves — say so much about what may be lacking in our lives, and how we manage to make up for that lack and still live fulfilling lives in our non-fantasy worlds….

….That’s why I don’t get grossed out or frustrated when I see the mags attempting to construct a torrid secret romance between the two.  As unrealistic as the Bella/Edward romance is — and not only because it’s supernatural, but because it has some truly unrealistic components of devotion, selflessness, sacrifice, etc. — it brings people pleasure.  This pleasure may be different than the pleasure I experience in breaking down this romance for you in this very post, but it is a very real pleasure nonetheless, and cannot be discounted….

Thanks to RPattznews. Read her complete article here : Why Kristen Stewart Matters.

Kellan Lutz and 2 other stars from New Moon will be featured in BlackBook’s October 2009 issue!

So I hear you’re pretty cool with the Twilight fans, who I hear can be a little much.
I am extremely blessed to be a part of this franchise. I didn’t know this series and I didn’t know it had such a following. I love going to conventions. That’s why I love Will Smith. He goes to every premiere in every country. I really admire that because his fans are the ones going to his movies, and it doesn’t take much to show your appreciation. TheTwilight moms made dog tags and engraved really cool things on them.

But what happens when the fans get to a Robert Pattinson-level where it’s just insane?
Well, it’s crazy because with all this attention, all of us are handling it extremely well. We still have our head on our shoulders and our feet on the ground. Rob’s handling it so well. I can’t fathom being in his shoes. I believe I could handle it, but being cooped up in Vancouver and not being able to leave the hotel room or the apartment without having a driver and having to hide out—especially when he was shooting Remember Me, I talked to him a lot in New York and those fans were just crazy. I can’t imagine trying to act when you have all these people yelling your name and you’re doing an emotional scene.

Do you like doing your own stunts?
I love doing my own stunts. I try and fight the producers to allow me to do stuff and of course there’s insurance reasons why we can’t, but again, I want that to be my face on screen. I don’t want them to have to blur it out if there’s a cool fighting scene. And a lot of times I can do the stunt better than the stuntman. I once had to fall ten feet from a tree and I go the wind knocked out of me. The stuntmen were like, Let all the air out before you hit the ground. It’s a learning process but I just love doing all my own stunts and I’m an action junkie. I love anything action and being on rigs and falling from buildings. I kind of want to be a stunt man too.

Do you hang out with your cast mates from Twilight when you’re not filming?
Me and Ashley Greene are kind of not—the kids of the group, but we like playing games. I went to Toys R Us and bought Wii Fitness and tons of other games to play in the hotel, because we are always in the hotel and it’s tough to leave and not be followed by paparazzi or fans.

Head-on to Blackbookmag.com for the complete interview.

Her song is track # 6 “Satellite Heart”.

Check out the full lyrics at Twilighters Anonymous.

I hear you’re living out of state, running in a whole new scene
They say I haven’t slept in weeks, you’re the only thing I see

I’m a satellite heart/ lost in the dark
I’m spun out so far/ you stop, I start
But I’ll be true to you
I’m a satellite heart/ lost in the dark
I’m spun out so far/ you stop I start
But I’ll be true to you no matter what you do/ yeah I’ll be true to you

The Australian Edition of the New Moon soundtrack will feature 1 bonus song by Australian band,  Eskimo Joe. The title of the song is ‘Thunderclap’.

eskimojoe

Stuart MacLeod from Eskimo Joe says “It’s great to be a part of the global phenomenon that is Twilight. When approached about writing a song for the soundtrack, ‘Thunderclap’ seemed to be the perfect song for the album. It was a song we wrote early on in the album process for ‘ Inshalla’. It has a darkness to it, but also a real feeling of hope. I hope it’s a good match for the film.”

Every song on the soundtrack for the Twilight sequel New Moon is new.

Twilight News (Version 2)

Rob will be on the cover of AnOther Man (Issue 9) on 1st October and DazedDigital has a preview. Head over to DazedDigital for two more photoshoots of Rob!

AnOther Man (Issue 9) Rob Pattinson

Was Pattinson aware of the loyalty of fans of the Twilight books? It looks like the sort of obsessive fandom that can turn into anger and even hatred when an adaptation isn’t to their liking. Did he know what he was letting himself in for? “It’s strange because even though the figures show that the books were successful and sold millions of copies, you couldn’t even buy them in London. I tried a couple of bookshops and they weren’t available. Hardly anyone I knew had read them apart from one girl, a friend of my sister. I had no idea at all. I’d seen Kristen Stewart in Into the Wild and some of the director Catherine Hardwicke’s other films, and that’s all I thought it was, something really small.”

His manner is very laid back. He doesn’t sound thrusting or ambitious, more like he’s just going with the flow and enjoying things. Is he going to harness his newfound fame and box-office appeal to approach the kind of filmmakers he wants to work with in the future? He’s not so sure. “Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do.” But he knows what he doesn’t need. “I don’t want to be an actor for the sake of it. I don’t find any particular pleasure in being an attention-seeker.”

We will be mailing to you the prize through post though this will take a while, but no worries,  we will be sending the winner a notification email after we have mailed your prize to your respective address.

So the winner is….

Week 3 Winner: Mellisa Chia

Answer to Week 3’s Question: Bella was upset when she did not receive any calls from Jacob and when she called Billy to ask, she found out that Jacob had recovered from his sickness and was out with his friends. She then told Charlie that she would call Jessica to study as Charlie was afraid of leaving her alone in the house, in case she got “mopey” again. She thought of going to La Push to get her motorcycle, but decided to put the thought aside as she also thought of going to the woods since she had a map and a compass in her truck, and earlier, Jacob has promised her to look for the meadow together. Before she realised it, she was already on the familiar dirt road, from studying the map with compass, she found her way to the meadow.

When she was at the meadow, she realised that although it was the same place, it didn’t hold what she had been searching for. She was disappointed as nothing lingered there. Only memories that she could call back if she wanted to and able to endure the corresponding pain. The place wasn’t the same without Edward. She wasn’t sure what to feel there but the it was the same as her nightmares. She was also thankful that she did not discover the meadow with Jacob, afraid that she might not be able to disguise the abyss she was plunging into.

From Chapter 10 – The Meadow

Congratulations, Mellisa!

Now for the 4thd Week question…

4th Week Question: What would be a typical day for Emily, Sam’s fiancée, be doing while the wolf pack were out, and what happened to her a year ago?

The New York Times has just posted a great article on how Twilight fans are literally boosting the economy of a li’l town in Washington named Forks.. :) and we love it!

NewYorkTimesForks

Jane Margolies of The New York Times writes:

….Over the last year or so, Forks (population 3,120) has morphed into a mecca for Twilighters, or Twihards as they are sometimes called. Visitors to this rainy town, whose main industries are logging and two correctional facilities, have more than tripled for the first eight months of this year, compared with the same period last year, according to the local Chamber of Commerce. Lodging occupancy is up, and local merchants sell little-vampire pacifiers and Bella and Edward action figures.

“You used to say you were from Forks and people would stare,” said Marcia Bingham, director of the Chamber of Commerce, referring to the “B.T.” (“Before ‘Twilight’ ”) days. “Now when they hear where you’re from, they’re breathless.” (TS: hahaha so true so true;))

….The Pacific Inn Motel decorated a single “Twilight” guestroom last November, painting the walls black and red and putting up movie posters; it now has six of the theme rooms. “They had really cool ‘Twilight’ towels,” said Emma Hand, 14, who stayed in one of the rooms in August with her brother and parents on a cross-country trek from their home in Falls Church, Va.

Revenue from a local hotel occupancy tax is up 26 percent over last year, according to a Forks City Council member, Bruce Guckenberg, who also manages Sully’s Burgers, home of the pineapple-topped Bella Burger (plastic fangs included).

Charlene Leppell’s longtime flower and gift shop was on the brink of closing until she started printing up “Bella for Prom Queen” T-shirts and applying glitter to red ceramic apples. Now her shop, renamed Twilight Central, is doing so well that “the question isn’t whether I could afford to take a vacation this year,” Ms. Leppell said, “but whether I couldtake off time from the store.”

Read the 2 page article at New York Times.

While at the Christian Science Monitor they have this article : Twilight helps Forks, Washington beat the recession.

….To cater to starry-eyed fans, Forks’ Chamber of Commerce launched a van tour that points out spots featured in the Twilight books. The town even created a “reserved” parking spot at the local hospital for the fictional character Dr. Carlisle Cullen.

….Forks isn’t the only town that’s benefitting from Twilight mania. Port Angeles, Wash., a town northeast of Forks, where Bella has her first dining experience with Edward and shops at a bookstore, has been a draw as well. This year, fans visited the restaurant, Bella Italia, where the couple dine in the first Twilight movie, and purchased 4,500 $17 bowls of mushroom ravioli (which Bella ordered in the movie and the book). Meanwhile, Margolies reports that the bookstore Bella declines to visit because of its new age vibe – Port Book and News – says business has increased by as much as 20 percent.

Huge Thanks as ever to the Awesome Vale, who has translated the article for us:

We called Robert Pattinson on the set of ‘New Moon’ in Vancouver, Canada. He told us over the phone that he’s living some months of peace and calm after the months of hysteria surrounding the release of ‘Twilight’.
It was so insane, that he even noticed some changed in the people around him: “I’ve noticed that the way people look at me has changed a bit, even my family. It’s a bit weird. But I think things will go back to normal soon.
What many people don’t know is that he was in Barcelona filming ‘Little Ashes’ before ‘Twilight’ came out, almost completely unnoticed. “I wasn’t completely unnoticed. it’s funny because a lot of people came up to me because they recognized me from the Harry Potter movies”.
The actor spent two months filming in: Barcelona, Sant Pere de Ribes, Caldes de Montbui, Granada and Cadaqués. Like he could that now. Complete insanity.

The Vancouver Sun has reported that Robert & Kristen we’re spotted filming at Port Moody in British Columbia yesterday afternoon.

They were filming behind the Port Moody’s Art Centre. It looks like a house rather than an Arts Centre. :)

trueblood

He told E! Online that they don’t need to compete saying: “I think they serve a certain audience and we serve a certain demographic so we can all exist happily together.” Both Twilight and True Blood are about vampires and are adapted from popular novels. However the TV show is even darker than the films and shows more extreme scenes.

Um….. Maybe we can include Vampire Diaries too?!!

BoxOffice.com has an exclusive interview Taylor Lautner.

Taylor Lautner (David Slade)

If the last two books in the series hadn’t already been written, what do you think Jacob should do to win over Bella?

I don’t think he would have changed anything, and I don’t think he should change anything. Jacob and Edward are extremely different guys and it’s just whether you want one guy or another. Jacob is himself, and he has a relationship with Bella that Edward doesn’t. And Edward has a relationship with Bella that Jacob doesn’t. So I wouldn’t change a thing.

As an actor, how do you make the audience root for Jacob and get invested in his feelings when the outcome of the love triangle is already known?

Well, you try and take things one step at a time. When I’m filming New Moon, I’m not thinking aboutEclipse. When I’m filming Eclipse, I’m not thinking about Breaking Dawn. We just have to focus on the movie that we’re doing.

What is it like for your family and friends to see people scream at pictures of you topless?

[Laughs] It’s weird. It’s embarrassing for me, and I’m sure it’s awkward for all of them.

Everybody has been talking about the muscle that you’ve put on. The furor around actors and their weight changes is something you usually see happen with older actors who are more established. You’re 17—what is that like to have people paying so much attention to your biceps?

It’s different. It was all for the job, and that’s all. I knew that Jacob was going to transform not only mentally, but physically as well, from Twilight to New Moon, and I wanted to be able to portray him correctly for all the fans. That was my motivation. It was a lot of hard work, though.

That wolfness—do you have to bring that animal movement in your human performance?

The only difference is in New Moon, I play pre-transformation Jacob, and post. He doesn’t transform into a werewolf until halfway through the film. For pre-transformation, the books describe Jacob as clumsy. He trips over his own feet—he’s a kid. And as soon as he transforms, he all of a sudden because extremely agile. There’s several scenes that show his new agility, so that was the biggest thing I had to bring out.

Its by far the most extensive interview we’ve ever read done with Taylor, so click here to read more.

Remember over a month ago we posted that Robert Pattinson was on the September cover of French magazine Premiere. Well scans of that magazine has appeared on a French New Moon fansite Le Monde Francesca. Here are the images from the magazine.

Rob (French's Premiere Cover)

Premiere1

[Updated] Thanks to ThinkingofRob.com for the translation of his interview with Premiere.

Premiere: Movie sets are the only place where you can have a private life?

Rob: Its crazy no? I haven’t found one place in the world yet where I could disappear. Even in the most remote places I can imagine, someone will ask me for a picture with them or an autograph. Honestly, I didn’t think I would be recognized so easily. (Laughs)

Premiere: At the same time you must have to watch how you act, which must not be easy, especially when you’re 23. I remember when I was 23… It was better that a camera wasn’t aimed at me 24/7

Rob: Exactly! What worries me the most is that I don’t know when my patience will run out, when I finally do something really stupid. Wait and see…

Premiere: Do you ever tell yourself “I  never signed for this”?

Rob: All the time. A few months ago I came really close to losing it. I was getting really paranoid. And then I started a new job, things fixed themselves. I can’t turn my back on the situation and ignore it. If tomorrow I say: ‘Okay, I’ve had enough, were stopping everything” it won’t change anything. Might as well try to accept it and stay zen as I have no control over it. I’m a pretty prude person, therefore it’s not always  easy. But whining won’t change anything.

Another interview with Michael Sheen today and this time done by MTV.

MTV: Tell us about your character in “New Moon.”

Sheen: I play Aro. For people who aren’t fans of the books, I play one of the Volturi —

somebody described it as being like the royal family of vampires, which I guess is a good description. He’s very calming on the surface, very gentle and soft on the surface. But beneath, he is a psychopathic killer. … He’s a great character, and I had a great time doing it.

MTV: When will we see Aro next?

Sheen: Well, he doesn’t appear in “Eclipse.” He appears again in “Breaking Dawn.”

MTV: Have they told you to set aside some time for that one?

Sheen: Who knows? Nothing has been spoken about yet.

MTV: We can also see some teases of a dark Dakota Fanning in the “New Moon” trailer. How is she in the film?

Sheen: She’s fantastic. She’s scary as hell, but she looks so sweet. She’s got a great character there. People are really going to love her.

MTV: You’ve worked with all kinds of actors. But is there anything quite like working with the maelstrom that is Robert Pattinson?

Sheen: [Laughs.] I don’t know how he copes with it all. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to deal with it when I was his age. He and Kristen are really amazing. They’re fully committed to what they’re doing, and I wish them all the best.

MTV: What’s the one “New Moon” scene you’re most excited to see come together?

Sheen: There’s a great scene that involves all of them. Robert, Kristen —

Ashley is there as well. All the Volturi are there, and we’re on this amazing set, and there’s a lot of effects and stuff. I think that will be amazing.

On how she won the role of Alice Cullen: “I originally auditioned for Bella, and so I read the first book and kind of fell in love with it. I went in and auditioned and actually they called me back in and said, ‘No, you’re not right for Bella,’ so I was bummed, and then they brought me back for Alice. I worked more on it – that was all I did for a couple of days before I went in. I came in probably like five times before I actually got the role – and then I went home for Christmas and literally just had to wait and wait. I thought that I didn’t get it again, and then I got the call that I was Alice and I freaked out and called my dad and mom.”

What do you make of this Robert Pattinson craze? It’s starting to get to the point where the pandemonium is putting him in dangerous situations. What’s your take on that?

It’s sad for Rob! It’s a hard thing because we absolutely adore our fans, and he does too, and they helped us get to where we are now so you have to be thankful for that. I applaud him – with my fan encounters, there’s a process. It’s kind of like this chisel effect where there’s one and then it’s two and then it’s five, so I was kind of able to ace it. But he got slapped with 25,000 screaming girls so I definitely think he’s taking it in stride. They love him so much and I know they don’t want to hurt him, but people just don’t realize that when they’

re that many people coming with a force, it can be very dangerous sometimes.

How has it been with the other Twilight castmates? Is there anyone on set that you happen to be closer with?

Kellan [Lutz] and I are very close. I have different relationships with different people – and it’s really great, I kind of get the best of everything. Rachelle [Lefevre] and I have this, like, zest for life. She and I can just go and have a glass of wine and unwind, and we work out together and stuff like that so she and I have that kind of relationship – I think we’re both easygoing, fun people. Kristen [Stewart] and I recently got closer. I feel like in the first film, we were friends, but with our schedule we were never in the same place at the same time. So, with the second one, it was more intimate as far as the amount of people involved. After the first week or two of production, it was just me, Kristen, Rob and Taylor [Lautner], and then Rachelle was there for a little bit. Taylor’s super, super sweet, and Jackson [Rathbone], I adore. I love them all. They’

re great.

Melissa Rosenberg spoke to Marc Malkin of E! Online about Eclipse.

“David has a darker sensibility, so it clicks,” Rosenberg said. “The story has a slightly darker tone. I mean, it goes into a full-out battle, so it is darker in the nature of what it is. David was the perfect director for it.”

MTV.com gives us a quick guide on the lesser known artists in The Twilight Saga: New Moon OST

On Monday, the track listing for the upcoming soundtrack to “New Moon” was revealed and it has the same mix of the popular and somewhat-obscure that fans have come to expect from Stephenie Meyer. The 15 all-new or exclusive tracks feature some of the names that have been kicking around for a while, such as Muse, who refashioned the baroque “I Belong To You” from their new album, The Resistanceat director Chris Weitz’s behest and Death Cab for Cutie, whose “Meet Me On The Equinox” debuted on MTV.com recently.

Check out the Twilight Saga: New Moon artists photos here.

Here’s a sampling of 2 of the lesser known artists.

Lykke Li – She did this awesome cover of my favourite band Kings Of Leon’s ultra epic song’ Knocked Out ‘ (which the Kings loved too! :) ) Her song on the New Moon OST will be POSSIBILITY.

And check out Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Their Song ALL DONE WRONG will be featured in the New Moon OST.

Michael Sheen was recently interviewed on Collider.com. He talks about New Moon and his other upcoming projects.

michaelsheen

So going into “Twilight: New Moon”, were you nervous about taking this role because you had already come from a franchise like that, or were you more excited for the role? What was your thought process and what was it like making the film with all the hubbub around it?

Michael Sheen: I was mainly excited about it because I knew I would make my daughter very happy. Up front, that was the main reason. And then I read the books and I really enjoyed the books. I didn’t think I was going to, but I really did enjoy them. Then I was concerned that the fans of “Twilight” would be like, “But he’s played a werewolf; we can’t have him as a vampire,” and all that. But it hasn’t been like that. And because it was a very different character and I could sort of lose myself in it, hopefully people won’t have a problem with me having been in this other werewolf/vampire franchise. So when I went to do it, I just loved the character. I relished the opportunity to be there and be part of it. Now I’m just very pleased to have a whole new generation of people I can scare.

You mentioned your daughter. You’re quoted in the NY Post as saying she was a little annoyed when you took the part.

Michael Sheen: Right, well, I think she felt a whole combination of emotions. I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the fact that I was going to be in it. I think she was really excited, but, at the same time, I remember what this was like when I was ten, eleven. If there was something I was really into, the last thing I wanted was for my mom and dad to be into it as well. That’s just annoying. So she was very excited and she cried when I first told her about it. I think it was just her fantasy/imaginative world suddenly colliding with her reality. She didn’t know how she felt about it. She punched me I remember and kicked me. I think that was her sort of frustration with me. In fact it was her mother who said, “Is it because that’s your thing and now daddy’s getting in on it?” And she said, “Yes.” So it was her (as usual) very perceptive mother who got that. But then, very quickly, she made peace with that and then she was just very excited about going to the premiere.

E! Online has an article on Jack Huston. Eclipse Newbie Not Expecting Robsten-like Fanggirl Fandemonium

“I went in to the director and he very sweetly wrote this part up for me,” the actor admits. “It was kind of a nice compliment from him.”

The Twilight Examiner managed to interview with newbie – Jodelle Ferland!

Are you making any physical changes for your role in Eclipse?

Well, I was hoping that they were going to cut my hair, actually. *laughs* My hair is so long, and it’s nice. But it’s too long, and it drives me crazy all the time. I don’t think they are going to cut my hair, but oh well. I already do gymnastics class. I don’t have to do it for the movie, but I’m just doing it anyway.

Meanwhile, The Twilight Parents Examiner has an exclusive conversation with Kellan Lutz!

I can’t fathom what other people go through. I’m just a part of this franchise… I’m Kellan. There’s nothing super special about me that’s worthwhile. I wish there were more pictures of people helping out. Show Brad and Angelina and all the good work they do. Show me at my charity events, but really, do you need to see pictures of me walking my dog 20 million times?

MTV Movies Blog had an interview with Taylor Lautner at the VMA’s about his workout and Rob. Taylor Lautner: Robert Patinson Doesn’t Need Workout Advice

But Lautner isn’t the only one Twilighters got an eyeful of in the trailer — Robert Pattinson also appears sans shirt. And Lautner insists that if the two were to compete in some kind of shirt-off, the competition would be stiff. “I don’t know [who would win]. Rob, he’s getting some muscle,” he explained. “There’s some good competition.”

MTV also did another article with Anna Kendrick about her level of fame. ‘Twilight’ Actress Anna Kendrick Is Fine Without RPattz-Level Fame

“The thing about playing one of the human characters, the non-supernatural characters in the ‘Twilight’ series, is we have a lot more liberty to make it our own and change things, because people don’t have that attachment that they do to the myth, the world that Stephenie Meyer created in terms of the supernatural aspect,” the actress explained.

Here’s another interview with Anna by HitFix. Q&A: Anna Kendrick talks ‘New Moon’, ‘Scott Pilgrim’ and her breakthrough in ‘Up in the Air’

Q: Do you know if you’ll be back for ‘Breaking Dawn’ if and when those movies happen?
It does feel like to us — when I say ‘us’ I assume people know I’m referring to the human characters — it feels like it’s probably coming to a close.  We appear in a dream sequence or one sequence in the book of of ‘Breaking Dawn’ so I don’t know if we’ll be back for it and we’re only signed up for three, because the three books were only out when we made the first film.  So, I don’t know that we will be involved in ‘Breaking Dawn,’ but it’s a really fun thing to go back to. Particularly when I go back for this short period of time it feels like I’m going back to summer camp and I’m seeing my friends from summer camp.

Radar Online had a meeting with Edi Gathegi where he actually tried to scare the author, Stephenie Meyer! EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Twilight Actor Edi Gathegi Scared Stephenie Meyer

Radar: How scary is your scene?
Gathegi: Let’s just put it this way. I told Stephenie Meyer that my goal would be to scare every 14 year-old girl, and she looked at me and said “Edi, you’re so sweet and you have such a little baby face, no one is going to be scared of you at all.” Then she saw the movie and the dailies said, “OK Edi, you scared me!” And I said “That means a lot coming from you,” especially since she told me I wasn’t even going to be able to BE scary!

The Twilight Examiner has had an interview with ‘How To Be’ director, Oliver Irving. Exclusive Interview – How to Be Director gives insight into Robert Pattinson and his character

Were you familiar with Rob, or had you heard of him before he was cast?
No – he told me he was in a Harry Potter movie but made it seem like a small part. After the first audition I was sure he could be good, so checked him out online and realized he had a huge fan base already. Another call back or two to doubly make sure we had our man, and we were set.
