New Moon trailer review!
LONG TIME NO SEE! I miss you guys. *gives everyone a virtual hug*
Anyway, I’m here to give a brief review about the New Moon trailer which is now officially showing in theatres.
On Tuesday, 25th August 2009, Shaw invited us to the gala premiere of Bandslam to watch the New Moon trailer that is attached to the film. Aishah and I went as representatives because the rest of us were busy! We were informed that the trailer would show at roughly 1940.
Later though, due to unforeseen circumstances, the premiere was delayed. It’s okay though, because I think everyone did a really good job.
When the logo of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” appeared, the atmosphere became electric. Then, after a split second, all the shrieking finally arrived. I won’t deny that Aishah and I were great contributors too. 
To be honest, there was so much excited screaming that I couldn’t hear what the dialogue was (although I’m very much familiar with it)! It was just that brilliant. When the short piece finally ended, it went out with much cheering.
In case you don’t know which trailer I’m referring to, it is ‘Meet Jacob Black’!
Oh man, if the trailer is receiving such a warm response, I have no idea how good the movie’s reception is going to be! SO EXCITED. Also, trust me when I say that nothing beats going to the cinema and watching the trailer IN ALL ITS GLORY~~~~~~~
Le sigh.

Summit and Creation Entertainment’s Official Twilight Convention started on Friday and here are some write-up from MTV regarding the event. First is the general info about the convention – ‘Twilight’ Convention Comes To New Jersey:
Fans dressing up as their favourite characters.
In between star panels and photo and autograph opportunities, fans have a veritable “Twilight” mall to peruse, with table upon table brimming with vampire- and werewolf-themed merch. Handmade bath products, jewelry, 8×10 star glossies and enough “Twilight” tees to fill a dozen closets are among the many, many items up for grabs. Other entertainment opportunities throughout the weekend include rounds of “Twilight” trivia, panels with “Twilight Lexicon” and “Twilight Mom” bloggers, a meet-and-greet with “Twilight” cover hand model Kimbra Hickey, a charity auction and a Saturday night vampire ball, where guests are encouraged to dress like their favorite character.

“I decided, all right, the Wolf Pack stay up all night looking for who’s killing people on the res, so we don’t sleep very much. So I thought it would be a great idea if I stayed up for 10 days straight.” What should have been a simple scene — a confrontation between Bella (Stewart) and the Wolf Pack — became, in Meraz’s mind, his “Brando moment.” Wanting to try something different, the actor played the scene overly aggressive: screaming, grabbing Stewart by the throat, hurtling his line at her.
[Director] Chris Weitz comes off-set like, “Yeah, I like the energy Alex, but just take it down a little, ” Spencer chimed in: “Meanwhile the producers are freaking out back there.”
“Cause nobody touches Kristen Stewart”, joked Meraz.
Lastly, let’s not forget Gil Birmingham as he talks about his responsibility in representing a wheelchair bound person in film. He also mentioned the camaraderie formed between the Wolfpack Read it all at MTV.

Previously, we posted the Volturi scan from People’s Magazine. However, over at their website, they featured HQ photos and a brief article about the Volturi:
“They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” Weitz tells PEOPLE. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.”

Q: Do you find it hard to switch between the two personalities- since you do have before the wolfpack and after the wolfpack is it hard to switch when you are doing different scenes?
Taylor: Sometimes you will film a pre transformation Jacob and a post transformation Jacob on the same exact day. So you do have to click over, but it’s really cool because it’s challenging and I like challenging myself as an actor. So I just hope I can bring both sides of Jacob alive for all the fans
Q: What’s been the most challenging so far?
Taylor: It’s the same I would tell ya for the first film: the weather! It’s actually starting to warm up now and it’s a lot nicer than it was at first, but when we got up here towards the end of March it’s snowing and I was like when is this gonna stop! And obviously I’m not wearing that much clothing for most of the film so that doesn’t help either, but the weather is definitely starting to warm up now so that’s nice
Q: What has been your favorite scene to shoot now- or in the future- what are you looking forward to shooting?
Taylor: It’s so hard. I like a lot of the stunt stuff so it’s really cool to do that. The dirt bike scenes, the dirt bike scenes are a lot of fun! And just a lot of stuff in the forest, Jacob gets to show his physicality a little bit more.
Q: Do you get to use your martial arts more?
Taylor: I wouldn’t say martial arts. I think the biggest thing is pre transformation Jacob is very clumsy. He trips over his own feet, and when he transforms into a werewolf he’s very agile all of a sudden. So it’s just kind of…have to show his two separate sides.
What do you want your fans to see from Jacob in this movie?
I want them at the beginning of this film to see this really happy nice sweet guy that they fall in love with- and then all of a sudden POOF! He’s a completely different guy and not even believe it’s the same dude.

The main stars have been hard at work this week, David Slade tweeted on Monday that he shot with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and I can tell you exclusively that Kristen has also been working with Taylor Lautner this week. “Bella” goes on a piggyback run with “Jacob” and they run through the forest. She also drops blood everywhere, and at some point she punches him in the face after he kisses her. And for the Twi-Hards, Slade’s Tweet referred to scenes between Stewart and Pattinson that took place in the “meadow”. My source tell me that they talk about getting married, they roll around a little, and they agree on a wedding date.

The first single has officially been confirmed for the New Moon Soundtrack! Death Cab for Cutie has written an exclusive song for the movie entitled ‘Meet Me On the Equinox.’

It’s from Bella’s point of view … but, for instance, when Alice has a vision of Edward about to commit suicide, we see her vision. To me, that’s fair — because, in the book, Alice conveys that immediately to Bella, and you can see Bella imagining what Alice is saying. At points where a reader of the book might logically imagine a scenario, it was OK for the filmmakers — me — to imagine seeing something that would be outside of Bella’s knowledge at that point. Or something that’s within the scope of her imagination. She fears the worst, really, in terms of Edward.
‘New Moon’ Stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner Discuss Killer Breakups
MTV: He is very huggable. Tell us about one scene that you read either in Stephenie Meyer’s book or in Melissa Rosenberg’s screenplay that you were like, “Man, that’s going to be tough to pull off,” and tell us how you were able to figure it out.
Stewart: “New Moon” is riddled with all of that. I think it’s the one book in the series that I was intimidated by – in a good way. That’s the best feeling to start a movie with. But probably, my favourite line in the book is when I have to say to [Jacob], “It’s him; it’s always been him!” Like, I have to say that. Yeah, it killed me, it killed me.

Kristen Stewart: It’s so much fun. She’s the ultimate badass. She was the first woman to start her own record label. Everybody threw her out after the Runaways and was like, ‘Sorry girl, your shticks over’, she was like ‘No, the message stays the same people still want to hear it.’
Who the fuck did that before her? The music industry is brutal. Once there’s one wave, one explosion of a type of music, everyone jumps on the bandwagon and tries to emulate that, so there’s a bunch of shitty versions of other bands. So there’s like shitty versions of everybody!

On reading the books: “I got very obsessive and went through all 4 of them. In the last week and a half, I’ve read the first 3. I just finished Eclipse today. I think the books are incredible. Her inner thoughts are the similar thoughts you’ve ha d in similar situations but they’re so deep down, ones that you sometimes don’t even admit to yourself.”

The Twilight Saga has vampires, werewolves and humans. Funny humans. Actor Justin Chon has a sharp sense of humor, and, as he sat down for lunch on Monday at the appropriately named Bella Cucina in Hollywood with RadarOnline.com, he revealed some major scoop about the third Twilightmovie Eclipse.
Eclipse Star Retracts Sequel Statement
Earlier this week, Boo Boo indicated that production company Summit Entertainment had designs on two more sequels following Eclipse, bringing the total of movies in the vampire saga to five.
“There was some false communication, so far it’s just Eclipse that’s coming out,” Stewart said in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com.

Aside from random roles in a variety of flicks, the fresh-faced teen has a blossoming musical career and has modeled, most recently, for Kohl’s; his multi-faceted background mirrors that of his multi-talented Eclipse cast members.

The CAA-repped Hardwicke prominently separated with Summit late last year after the release of “Twilight,” as the movie was on its way to nearly $200 million in global boxoffice. The company went on to hire Chris Weitz for the second pic, “New Moon,” and David Slade for the third movie, “Eclipse.”
Hardwicke’s split from Summit became fodder for the blogosphere, but, in the end, whatever the disagreement with the indie, it hasn’t jeopardized her career.
In fact, Hardwicke has a wide range of options that might not have been expected after the Twilight saga.
MTV Movies Blog has more on the Real Forks doing a ‘Twilight’ Documentary.
“The full title is ‘Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town,’ ” explained producer York Baur, revealing details exclusively to MTV about the soon-to-be-released flick, whose existence has remained a secret — until now. “It’s a documentary about the town and the impact of the ‘Twilight’ phenomenon on the town. It’s a DVD that is shot in full HD, and it’s going to be available to the public on October 15.”
From now until that date, Baur and director Jason Brown will be unveiling exclusive sneak peeks of the film on MTV.com every Tuesday — continuing to lift the veil on the first-ever “Twilight” documentary.
“Everybody that’s a fan of ‘Twilight’ has a vision of what Forks is like,” Brown said of the real-life Washington town where Stephenie Meyer set her vampire-romance saga. “In the movie, we get a peek at that. But in fact, they didn’t shoot the ['Twilight'] movie in Forks. So we’ve gone actually out to Forks. And you’ll get a chance to meet some of the real people and see some of the real places that are featured in the story.”

LaineyGossip managed to get some interesting stuff from Chris Weitz in her latest update :
Weitz was asked about the private screening for the cast etc that took place last weekend. It was a rough, unedited cut of New Moon. No score, obviously still requiring a lot of work. But he talked passionately about how impressed he was with his young actors. That they could all stand up next to the veterans he’s worked with. Said they were all amazing, surprised at how well they performed, and singled out Taylor Lautner as the one with the most potential out of them all.

...Weitz had the right F/X cred for the job. The Cambridge grad had spent three years overseeing the otherworldly creatures in his 2007 adaptation of Philip Pullman’s “The Golden Compass.” The film didn’t score with most critics, but its visual effects won an Oscar.
So, with the exception of being, you know, male, Weitz seemed a good fit for “New Moon.” Aware that his gender is a sticking point with many fans, the director, talking on set between takes, downplays his testosterone levels. “I’ve always made movies for women,” he says. “I’m in the more girly gradient of male directors. The thing I’m least interested in is blowing stuff up.”…
… Despite the heavy emotional weather in “New Moon,” director Weitz remained calm and contemplative, as different from the driven, frenetic Hardwicke as Jacob is from Edward. On particularly tough days, Weitz wore a shirt bearing the WWII British propaganda slogan “Keep Calm and Carry On.” Sometimes he’d sit in the director’s chair and read sci-fi novels while the crew readied the next shot. “[Making ‘Twilight’] was much more of a fight,” says Stewart. “Everyone was a little more scared. We needed to make something commercial but stay true to the book. We didn’t have as much money. It was all very impulsive, and that’s what I love about that f—ing movie.” …
She pauses. “But I think ‘New Moon’ is gonna be even better.”

Wow.. could it be true? The Twilight Saga stretched to 5 films?! YES PLEASE!! This according to Boo Boo Stewart in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. No confirmation from Summit Entertainment yet but going by what Boo Boo Stewart’s representative said .. it seems Boo Boo’s contract states so!
“I heard there’s going to be three more movies,” he told Access. “‘Eclipse,’ ‘Breaking Dawn,’ and there should be one more.”
The star’s rep also noted the additional films when Stewart’s casting was announced to Access
“Boo Boo Stewart will play the character Seth Clearwater in the next three installments of the wildly popular ‘Twilight’ film franchise based on the best-selling novels by Stephenie Meyer,” the rep said in a statement.
Only three movies in the series, “Twilight,” “New Moon” (out this November) and “Eclipse” have been confirmed by Summit Entertainment, who did not return calls when contacted by Access regarding news of the additional films.

MTV’s Hollywood Crush has a new interview with Kristen Stewart!
Kristen Stewart is a down-to-earth chick. She avoids the limelight, prefers to star in independent flicks and, as evidenced at the MTV Movie Awards, is kind of awkward. When most actors say the best part of being in a blockbuster hit like “Twilight” is the public recognition or fortune, Kristen said in a Q&A for the “Adventureland” DVD (out August 25) that it’s given her the opportunity to “do things that I really like, things like an independent movie nobody would normally see.” Now, she laughs, “it’s like, ‘Oh let’s go see Bella in this stripper movie; it’ll be crazy!’”
“I’m looking forward to all aspects of [“New Moon”]. A lot more is introduced, like the world of the werewolves comes alive, and the second movie is much more quaint,” Kristen shared. “Edward leaves her, which is interesting, considering the first movie is based entirely on their devotion to each other. So to see them cope without each other and to see this character, Jacob, who is supposed to represent light and warmth. He pulls her out of a rut that’s seemingly impossible. And it’s really tragic.”

“I honestly don’t think they’re expecting to be as heartbroken as I think they will be,” Lautner said. “I know when I read New Moon I really felt bad for Jacob’s character and Bella’s just because Jacob can’t have her and he’s trying to get her and everything that’s going on and her being torn and confused. So I felt really bad but actually when I lived the experience with Kristen, it was much worse and I just can’t imagine what the fans are going to think when they watch that.”

Have you read the Twilight books?
Justine Wachsberger: Yeah, all four of them.
Had you read them before you got the role?
Justine Wachsberger: I had seen Twilight, and read briefly the first one. After I got the part, I obviously read New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.
How was that audition process for you?
Justine Wachsberger: It was stressful, but it was fun at the same time. I auditioned for Heidi originally. At the beginning I started getting stressed out when I started hearing casting rumors about who had gotten the part. After about three weeks after auditioning, I got a call saying that I got cast as Gianna.
Does your role follow the character from the book closely?
Justine Wachsberger: Yeah, it pretty much does. Gianna is a complex character in a sense that you don’t really know what her motivations are for working for the Volturi. You don’t really understand her motivations in the book, and I feel like the movie lets that mystery go on.

Did you realize how huge the franchise was when you signed on?
“I already knew – I went to see ‘Twilight,’ and I do sometimes read Us Weekly and the tabloids, and realized it was such a big deal to be in this movie.”
Did anything surprise you about filming ‘New Moon’?
“I thought it would be harder to be on set, just because of the buzz and the fact that all these actors started as unknown and became so big – not all of them, but the majority. I thought I would arrive on set and kind of be an outsider and not really fit in. On the contrary, everyone was really nice, really down the Earth. It was a very friendly atmosphere. I was a little stressed out at the beginning, like ‘I’m getting to Vancouver on set, what is it going to be like?’ It was actually a really good surprise.”
Who was the most fascinating to see in action?
“I love Dakota Fanning. I’ve always been a big fan. A very talented actress at such a young age.”
Did you make any decisions about Gianna that weren’t necessarily dictated by [writer] Stephenie Meyer or [director] Chris Weitz?
“I think obviously you have to tell a story about your character in your mind, but could I lay it out there in front of you? I don’t think so. But I created a past for her. I think she’s aware of the risk to her, the risk of being killed, but her desire to be immortal and her desire to be part of this world is stronger than her fear to die.”
“I think she’s kind of in the middle between good and evil. She’s the thin line between being human and working for vampires. She’s the one that brings Edward and Bella to the Volturi. In those ways, she’s that middle line.”
