One year ago, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and a handful of other “Twilight” stars arrived at the MTV Movie Awards and walked down the red carpet, with most of the world’s press uninterested in speaking with them. In fact, they had to go back to the beginning of the carpet and start again, just so they could be properly introduced to those who didn’t realize they were movie stars. Luckily, MTV had caught the “Twilight” bug early, eagerly did some exclusive interviews with the actors on the carpet and were proud to use the occasion as their coming-out party.

MTVMovie Award Will Be ‘Edgy, Unpredictable’, Mark Burnett promises:
But Burnett knows that even “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” can’t live up to the hype surrounding “New Moon.” “The biggest sneak peek of all [is] “Twilight‘” he said. ” ‘New Moon are allowing a sneak peek”, and it’s being introduced by Robert [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart], so that’s huge news around the world right now. … The anticipation of those clips is going to be huge this year.”
Burnett feels that the MTV Movie Awards is the perfect place to air the first clips from “New Moon,” and his daughter tends to agree with him: “I have a 13-year-old, and when she found out a couple weeks ago there was going to be a ‘Twilight’ sneak peek, she said, ‘Oh, my God! Everybody’s going to want to see that.’ Young girls live for ‘Twilight.’ The MTV Movie Awards is a correct venue for ‘Twilight.’ It’s clearly something millions of Americans want.”

Going by the reports on RobPattzNews on Twitter, the cast has apparently left the set. They were filming throughout the hot and very sunny Montepulciano afternoon.

Twilight Italia has reported today that a New Moon press conference was held at 3pm yesterday . The website was the only fansite that was invited to attend this press conference. Among those present were the director Chris Weitz, producers from Summit Entertainment Mr Bill Bannermann and Wyck Godfrey as well as the Mayor of Montepulciano. They have been given a press release which a rough translation has been prepared below:
…From the 26 to 29 May, in particular, the Tuscany city will be center of the filming with the cast composed from Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Daniel Cudmore (Felix), Charlie Bewley (Demetri) and Dakota Fanning (Jane), directed from the director Chris Weitz.
To Montepulciano will be the set of some scenes drawn from the two chapters of the book where the city transforms into Volterra. The film is produced by Summit Entertainment that comments thus their choice of Montepulciano: “We are fallen in love or of Volterra that of Montepulciano, thus like of all from Tuscany territory. Obviously the book of Stephenie Meyer speaks about Volterra but, like always in the cinema, we have had to hold account of some logistic requirements that they have made to try us also location various ending with deciding upon Montepulciano. We indeed hope to succeed, to render justice is to Volterra that to Montepulciano…
Twilight Italia has also reported that the press conference took about 45 minutes where question ranging from distribution rights of New Moon in Italy to who will direct Eclipse where Drew Barrymore’s name was thrown in by the press. Most of the answers to which Twilight Italia says the fans know better. More pictures and video of the press conference will be released later today. So keep a lookout at Twilight Italia and their YouTube channel.

A Lucky Singapore Fan Gets Rob’s Autograph!
Yup! Jan a local Robert Pattinson fan as well as a frequent poster on Twilight Singapore was so lucky to get one of the 250 autographed ‘How To Be’ Soundtrack CD that Mr. Pattinson signed meticulously before starting the filming New Moon in Vancouver in April. These CDs have since been sent all over the world to those who had pre-ordered it through Dreamboat Records!

I pre-ordered the How To Be soundtrack from Dreamboat Records nearly two months ago.
There was a notice on the website which specified that they were giving away 250 copies of Rob-signed posters with the CD.
Although a very tiny part of me hoped that I would be one of the lucky ones, I sensibly decided not to think about it.
Watched the movie, LOVED the movie and was waiting impatiently for the CD to arrive.
Dreamboat Records were quite responsible and even checked on my mailing address before shipping.
I, of course, couldn’t resist emailing them a reply in which I mentioned that I was REALLY hoping get THAT poster.
The wait was rather long, tho’ and I even emailed them once to check on the status.
Their response was prompt, reassuring and heartening as they mentioned that things were abit slow due to overwhelming demand, which was nice to know.
So I checked my mailbox diligently everyday and finally, I was rewarded today with the sight of a yellow package with DREAMBOAT on it!
Tore it open, took out the poster, scanned it and almost fainted when I saw THE SCRAWL…*gasp* HIS SCRAWL at the top!!!! Yowza!!!!

It seems that the Cullens (ie Alice and Edward), Bella, the Volturis are all set in Montepulciano to start the Volterra shoots. The cast & crew met up yesterday and had a sumptous Italian lunch. Check a whole gallery of pictures at Radaronline and MrPattinson.com.
And it seems that the cast had also gone for a tour of the set as well. Most probably for a final rehearsal and eventually filming this next few days. Radaronline has some behind the scenes photos with Chris Weitz showing Kristen the filming site.
We’ve also found an account by an extra in Montepulciano set on Twilight Italia and through RobPattzNews on Twitter a full translation by The Examiner.
…The tests of the Porsche were seemingly never-ending, they really wanted it to be perfect. They did not overlook even the smallest detail: everything -from the placement of the car to all the car sounds- had to be just right. They even were overly careful with all the red flags placed around Montepulciano. The crew was sweaty and shouting us to get in our places, to which we obliged. Bill (Weitz’s assistant) was always calm and smiling, every once in a while stopping to talk to us on set….
…..The most exciting part of the experience was meeting all the other Twilight fans. We all, no matter how small our roles were, wanted to make the sequel the best it could be. And it was all for our love of the saga. I met a bunch of girls who were from some of the poorest parts in Italy, and all came so they could have a chance to be in this movie. To all the Twilighters who traveled from far away to be here, you all deserve a round of applause….

..Tell us about the baseball scene. We’re told you were not very good at it.
Who told you that?! I suck at baseball. For some reason, Catherine wanted me to be like a pro, and I thought, Why? Edward is a vampire, why would he have to play baseball perfectly? I never understood it, and I always questioned it. He doesn’t need to want to play, know the rules or need a bat, but Catherine said this scene was more about representing the union of a team, the union of a little community ready to defend and support each other. But yeah, I’m terrible at it. Don’t be surprised if one day you see people dressed as vampires playing baseball (laughs) that would be weird. That what be weird. But for me that was the hardest scene to shoot.Catherine seems to be one of the most human directors out there.
Definitely. Eventhough I did argue with her over certain scenes, most of the times I agreed with her. There’s even some thing about the way she directs that are so new to me, that I couldn’t disagree with them. For instance, in the script or in the way we would structure a scene. The point is that when you’re an actor you should merge your suggestions with the original ideas, and realizing who your director is, otherwise the job becomes stressful and it’s horrible arguing against everything.Are you looking forward to New Moon?
Definitely. I filmed Twilight not thinking it would become a trilogy, so if the first movie captured people, the sequel will immortalize the characters and their stories.

What was the audition process like for you?
In terms of time spent on researching backgrounds and story, I don’t think there’s been an audition I worked harder for than New Moon. I did a lot of work, but I understood the stakes of getting such a role.
The scene was the bell tower approach immediately post-Bella saving Edward. The first audition was simple, over very quickly and I was called back in days later.
Wyck Godfrey[the producer] and Chris Weisz were in attendance at the call back. Chris and I had a small chin-wag about how great England was so I felt grounded before I started. Diffusion of tension: Crucial. I brought myself into the character much more this time around. What came out was good: charm, control, threat. It felt good.
I was then hauled back in to read for Marcus a few days later, but truth be told I always wanted Demetri. FYI, Chris Heyerdahl is an excellent excellent choice for Marcus; his voice is captivating.
10 days later….
“Charlie, you booked Demetri”… cue delirium.

Twilight Singapore Turns One!
TWILIGHT SINGAPORE TURNS ONE TODAY! It was on this day, (24th May) that Twilight Singapore was created! It was first started by me, Nash and soon followed by Aishah, Bessy, Izzati and Maria!
Some of you might ask why did I suddenly start a fansite? Well… part of it that I was bored. And it was during that period where all the characters have been casted for the Twilight movie. Being the only Twilighter in my family and my group of friends, I couldn’t discuss about the new casts and the upcoming movie with anyone! So on instinct, I decided to start a website specially for Twilight updates and to start a Twilight fansite where all Twilight fans in Singapore can gather as one!
One full year has passed and we can’t believe that we have accomplished so much! We organised our very first Twilight event, the Twilight Soiree and who can’t forget our amazing Tokyo coverage done by our two amazing ladies, Aishah and Maria! We hope that we will still be able to accomplish another year with more exciting things for us Twilight fans in Singapore!

Our sources have informed this evening that Alan Cappelli, double by Robert Pattinson, was seen waiting in the car that called for some scenes. But such scenes will never run at night Motepulciano? Can you suggest in the comments!
Meanwhile we have discovered to be the double of Bella to physically dive into the fountain and the main scene will be shot on 27 with all the other extras that have already been felt. Meanwhile we know that this afternoon have been shot some scenes in the city center and all had given him something red. Coats, shirts, caps … it was really an explosion of color! And today was the ultimate scene with the porsche!
While there are rumors that Robert has already made a visit on the set, since the movement that was created this afternoon and tomorrow seems to be its first day of actual work in Italy!

The vampy leading man was auctioned off today in Cannes for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2009 Cocktail Party. The bidding got so high that Pattinson was split between two bidders, who each paid $20,000 for the chance to meet, greet and win a kiss on the cheek from the ‘Twilight’ idol. New Moon break up scene showned at Cannes? Read this fan report of a cocktail party for New Moon (via Twilight Poison).
Last night I went to a cocktail party for New Moon, the next film in the Twilight series. We got to see never-before-seen footage from the film and it looks good so far. Still heart-tugging. But most importantly, I fulfilled many a young girl’s dream to stand next to Robert Pattinson and share a joke with him.
“The clip was a part where Bella (Kristen Stewart’s character) was talking to Edward (Robert’s character) and he was telling her to leave and trying to convince her that he didn’t want her around. It was a short clip and I don’t know what happened before or after, but Robert said he’s not in this movie as much as the first one. Also, he hadn’t even seen the clip, and watched it biting his nails…sweet!”

Robert Pattinson, who shot to stardom in “Twilight” and is now filming the second and third movies in the franchise, confirmed Tuesday in Cannes that there will be a fourth installment of the vampire franchise based on the book “Breaking Dawn.”
Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn’t know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor’s jam-packed shooting schedule.
Robert Pattinson tells Risky Biz his thoughts on ‘New Moon’, an interview by Risky Biz Blog:
THR: What’s the schedule for “New Moon”?
Pattinson: We’ve got four days left on the shoot for this. I’m going to Italy for the remaining days of the shoot.
THR: And then?
Pattinson: Then I’m going straight into filming (the relationship drama) “Remember Me,” then have just three days off before going back to finishing up the third instalment in the “Twilight” series, “Eclipse.” After that I am doing a film “Unbound Captives.” I can’t say much about that but I know the script needs me to learn Comanche! Maybe it’ll be like in “Dances With Wolves!” My part is entirely in Comanche, ha ha.
