NEW MOON NEWS

FANDANGO’s Scott Huver had an exclusive interview with Robert Pattinson recently and we get a decent insight about NEW MOON and of course more of Robert’s movie Little Ashes and his new project ‘Remember Me’ initially called Memoirs. COOL ARTICLE read more here!
Fandango: You’re just getting started shooting New Moon. How are things going?
Pattinson: The interesting thing about this one is that so much of my character is in Bella’s head. It’s based on a mixture of memories and nightmares. Bella thinks she is going mad. I get to do some really creepy stuff. In other words, Bella is really frightened of [her hallucinations]. It’s really, really different than Twilight. I think that a lot of people will be kind of scared by this one. I wanted to try and put that into Twilight but I couldn’t really find a way to make Edward scary.Fandango: How is working with the new director, Chris Weitz?
Pattinson: He’s a great guy. He’s very, very talented, and articulate. I guess it must be kind of stressful for him to take this on. It’s got so much expectation. He just seems very calm about everything.Fandango: What was it like attending the Academy Awards for the first time?
Pattinson: I got there and then I’m sitting in the second row. It was unbelievable. I keep thinking that something terrible is going to happen. “Death” is the only thing I’m thinking the whole time. I just used up all my luck so I’m probably going to die at 23 or something.Fandango: You contributed a couple of songs to the Twilight soundtrack. Are you still pursuing music, and will you be doing more for New Moon?
Pattinson: I’m in talks to do a soundtrack for another movie, composing. I cannot say what it is yet, but I really, really, really want to do. I don’t think I’m going to have anything on New Moon, but never say never.
New Moon Org has compiled Michael Sheen’s responses to fan questions on Twitter about New Moon. Check out more here!

Michael Sheen has been gracious enough to answer some fans’ questions on Twitter, which reveal a little about himself and the role of Aro. Here is what we learn–
- He’ll be in both Vancouver and Italy
- He says he’ll feel old around the young actors, but may scare them with his red eyes.
- He’s reading the books right now.
- He’s excited about going to Italy to film.
- He met Robert Pattinson at the Oscars.
There’s another interview of Peter Facinelli at the “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” premiere by Rebecca Murray at About.com: Hollywood Movies. Peter’s talking about the scenes that he has done and look out for the huge spoiler about Breaking Dawn (for those who have not read the book!) and a new series where he’ll will be starring as a doctor who has this really weird tourettes, a new dramedy.
Where are you so far?
Peter Facinelli: “Well, nothing’s shot in order but we’ve shot the…let’s see…the birthday scene. We’ve shot that. And we’ve the voting scene. I’m not going to tell you what we all voted, but read the book. What else did we shoot? I shot stitching up Bella which was a lovely little scene. I pretty much mostly almost finished. I have a couple other shots to do in May and then we’re done.”
Have they added more Cullen family scenes?
Peter Facinelli: “You know, it’s hard because when you’re doing stuff that’s based on a book, if you add too much that’s not in there the fans don’t like it. I think we’re… There’s always going to be creative interpretations of stuff. But as far as adding stuff, there’s so much in it already, it’s hard to add. You have a 500 page book that you’ve got to squeeze down to two hours.”
Have you gotten used to the Twilight fans?
Peter Facinelli: “I don’t know if you ever get used to them. They’re not weird. I love them. I love each and every one of them. No, they’re great. They’re the best fans that you can have. They’re so loyal. We’ve had people camping out all night long on the sets.”
For this one, too?
Peter Facinelli: “Yeah, oh yeah. People are like literally in sleeping bags. We shot all night – you know, night shoots – because vampires like to shoot at night. And then we’d come out at 5 in the morning and they’d be in sleeping bags.”
And having Chris [Weitz] as the director this time?
Peter Facinelli: “Fantastic. You know, the second time around it’s a little easier. You feel like you have like a little bit more money it feels like. The atmosphere is calmer. I think it’s going to be good. It’s kind of nice having different perspectives, you know, film to film. They just announced the third director too.”

Do you know that Cameron Bright was dragged to see Twilight? Cameron Bright, as we all know, will be our Alec in New Moon.
Thanks to Camfans.Org!
Bright, 16, hasn’t even started filming his scenes as Alec — part of the Volturi vampire clan and twin brother of Jane (Dakota Fanning) in the Twilight sequel New Moon — yet he has been affected by Twilight mania since the day he was cast.
“It’s going to be kind of weird,” admits the Nanaimo actor who confesses he had to be dragged to see Twilight, the first in a series of movies based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular romantic teenage vampire novels.
“All the guys were saying, ‘It’s a chick movie,’ but it was really good,” Bright recalls. “I’m glad to be a part of it.”

The blood-sucking vampire from Twilight on wanting more tattoos, causing trouble in boarding school, and dealing with rabid groupies.
Are you signed on for the next Twilight movie, New Moon?
Wait, there’s another one? [Laughs.] Just kidding. Yes, I’m on board. I actually go up to Toronto to start training in a few days. What other tattoos do you plan on getting?
I’d love to get the Rathbone family crest on my back-it would take up my whole back. Our motto is “Suaviter et Fortiter,” which means “nicely, but firmly.” My dad always taught me that you’ve got to give respect to get respect, and you’ve got to give love to get love. Makes sense, right?

Melissa Rosenberg mentions Channing Tatum in Twilight ScreenWriter: Bring on Channing Tatum! Melissa also confirms that we will be seeing plenty of Rob in New Moon
At least one very important person in the movie adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire love story thinks Tatum would be perfect to play bad-boy vampire Riley in Eclipse, the third in the four-book series.
“There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well,” Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who is currently writing the Eclipse script, told us this weekend at the Los Angeles Times Book Festival benefit for the Writers Guild Foundation.
“And there are some complexities to that character,” she adds. “He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”
According to MTV, Rob will play a lead role in ‘Remember Me’. Rob will head down to NY to shoot ‘Remember Me’ once New Moon wraps up in May. It’s a busy year for our RPattz!
Pattinson will play the lead role in “Remember Me,” a story of a young couple whose burgeoning relationship is complicated by a succession of family tragedies that test their bond, according to ScreenDaily.com. The makers of the film, which had previously been titled “Memoirs,” have not yet settled on which actress who will play Pattinson’s love interest.
Emmy-winning director Allen Coulter (“The Sopranos,” “Damages”) will direct, and Jenny Lumet, who penned the script for last year’s critical darling “Rachel Getting Married,” is working on a draft of the screenplay.
Meanwhile, Nikki Reed spill the beans about a new documentary film that will feature her, Kristen Stewart called ‘The Glorification of Celebrities’. Read more here.

Twillight Gossip has pictures of Bella’s House, Bella’s Truck, Dirt Bike and Charlie’s Cruiser:
I was able to get a few nice pictures/video of Bella’s truck, motorcycles, cruiser and the house. I was also lucky enough to take a picture with Rachelle. (But I won’t be posting that image). I must say, Rachelle is a very sweet girl. Even though she was exhausted from her day, she still took a minute to say hello and take a few pictures.
Anyhow getting back to the more “important stuff”, they have moved Charlie’s cruiser over to the set with all of the other vehicles. I wonder why they have 2 of each vehicle and not for the cruiser….maybe one for the stunt double…who knows.
You’ve heard in our previous post that Twilight Lexicon is in Vancouver. Kimmy, from His Golden Eyes, will be flying to Vancouver too!

An Evening Out with Justin Kelly

Last Saturday, after the screening of How To Be at Shaw Lido, we had a date with the producer of, Justin Kelly. At first, we thought that we wouldn’t be able to meet up with him personally as he had a very busy schedule but our lucks changed when he had a little bit of time for us.
I was supposed to compose a post about our evening with Justin Kelly but when I read Bessy’s post on it on her personal blog, it had to be shared! Furthermore, the post that I wanted to write was well… boring and less descriptive but with Bessy, you’ll enjoy a good laugh! So thanks so much to Bessy for sharing it to us!
.How To Be premiere
Of course I couldn’t go. Am freaking under 16 years of age. But after Physics remedial and a short studying stint with Josh and Shuning, I joined the girls at Lido 1! The people were just pouring out from the theatre when I arrived, and then Justin Kelly exited!
If you didn’t know, Justin Kelly is the producer of How To Be.
Many people just crowded around him, took photos with him and asked him to autograph their poster or booklet ha. I joined in too. I took the SIFF film booklet and waited for the clump of eager people to disperse off in a multitude of directions.
I had my turn in the end, of course. A photo and a signature. Gosh it was so cool. Accompanying Justin was Sabrina from the SIFF committee and turns out we were supposed to have lunch with Justin. I thought it was with Rudy.
Okay things got messy etc, etc, basically SIFF had already planned out Justin’s schedule! Later, Sabrina said he’d be giving a talk at La Salle, so we wandered to find some place to sit down and eat first.
By this time, only Melissa was with us. Ha. We finally managed to sit down and talk and dine at ZingDo. After a few more false alarms, we separated into two booked cabs and headed for Botanical Gardens! Melissa had to leave though.
Oh man I don’t have photos with me now but we basically talked to Justin over English high tea for us (HA) and a chilli crab spaghetti meal for him. Funny.
Maria: What would you like? Would you like to try chilli crab spaghetti?
Justin: Sure, I don’t mind.
Maria: Have you tried it before?
Justin: No, I’d try it now then.
Maria was talking in this are-you-sure? tone and Justin was all yeah-go-ahead-go-ahead. LOLTASTIC.
Later, after a lot of chit chat, his food came. Our conversation, when it first began, was Justin quizzing us about our whole fansite thing. Then it turned to Justin, and I asked whether he’d compared Rob’s performance in both movies. He said something along the lines of that, Rob can’t be so serious like he was in Twilight.
Because it made him laugh.
True to that, baby.
We went along with the flow and gradually the view changed to How To Be. He told us that he had received news that Rob was mentioning How To Be in his interviews but some companies removed it because they only wanted Twilight/New Moon news. That’s really mean.
Justin also asked what the story of Breaking Dawn was and at first Aishah spoiled him! We all jokingly chided her and later he quizzed more and we just went, “Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” Funny.
Allison, Maria’s friend, joined us after a while.
His meal arrived and it was pretty spicy I guess. He liked it though. He commented, “Those people must be going, ‘Hey it’s an Englishman let’s show him the chilli!’” and imitated an action of pouring a lot of chilli into his plate. After a while he got accustomed to the taste anyways.
There were many other things we laughed at, but I’ve forgotten.
After we were done eating, Justin and Maria fought to pay the bill omg it was srsly awkward! It’s like,
[Maria] [Me] [Aishah]
[Cashier]
Basically Maria was sitting in front of the counter, but Justin, seated opposite Aishah, got to the cashier first LOL.
He just like stood up swiftly and went there and handed over his card and paid for the meal. *jaw drops to floor* Can’t believe he did that. Maria tried to get the cashier to pass him back his card but they’d already keyed it in.
Maria later said, “So paiseh.” We told Justin what that meant. And then he went, “Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you feel embarrassed.” XD
After we left the restaurant, we brought him on a short walk around. Along the way we discussed Twilight stuff and Rob’s other movies, including The Summer House. Aishah kept filming the surroundings and stuff. So cool.
We also passed some dogs along the way. Justin said he love dogs, and would like to own one big one and one little one if he lived in the countryside, but unfortunately (for him), he lives in London and that’s a town area.
Eventually, Aishah, Izzati and I left in Nasyita’s father’s car while Maria, Allison, Justin and Sabrina headed another way. My gosh, how many people can say, “I spent the evening with a movie producer”?
True that Bessy! Anyway, hope you liked her post. So before we left Botanical Gardens, we took a group photo with Justin Kelly. I’m sure you can spot him! He’s the rose among the thorns.

We will be posting the Q&A session with Justin Kelly too, so do keep a lookout for that!
[Edit: Mr. Kelly was actually attending a talk at La Salle College of the Arts - In Conversation with the legendary actor/writer/producer Peter Fonda ]

Twilight Gossip has pictures and a video of Charlie’s Cop car! Here’s the familiar car:
The Vancouver Sun has an article about the tight security in South Surrey when filming starts over there soon:
In recent weeks, a pre-fab “house” was built in Vancouver and trucked to the grassy site in South Surrey to serve as the abode of main character Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. In the movie, Bella falls for a vampire named Edward, played by Rob Pattinson.
The structure is nothing but a shell meant for exterior shots, but it requires around-the-clock security to keep rabid fans from doing damage to it.
When filming starts in South Surrey, huge black screens will serve to block views of the action.
For security reasons, the Now has decided to not reveal the exact location of the film set. Even so, plugged-in fans will have little trouble finding the site through postings on Twitter and other social-networking websites.

Quote Kristen:
He (Edward/Robert) gets a chance to be a little bit more scary in the dream sequence. He’s not so ‘perfect’…
There so much talk about this dream sequence…interesting…
Total Film went on a ‘romantic’ date with Robert Pattinson and actually managed to also dig up for us some great details about what we can expect from New Moon ( Total Film calls it Twilight 2 ) as well as Robert’s latest film ‘Little Ashes’.
Total Film : .. So can we talk about Twilight sequel New Moon?
RP: Edward and Bella’s reunion in New Moon is good. It’s different from the book so I think people will be happy. This movie will have a very different mood. In visual terms it’s going to be so different from Twilight. It’s also a lot scarier. Chris [Weitz, New Moon director] is very willing to go down that route.
Total Film: So, are they going to tie you up in that harness again for the sequel?
RP: Luckily, I just have to get beaten up in this one!

Malicious Mandy spotted a wolf on set. Read her report – Wolf Pack Filming Last Night?
We ask one gentleman if we can head “up” (up the street where the blinding film lights are obviously coming from – - hey – might as well ask – - JUST IN CASE!!!
ha ha)
So he says *excited* “I wouldn’t, they are bringing a WOLF down”
*inner squeeeeee* I appear calm but holy moly I was ANYTHING but calm…. a wolf?!?!?
MeMy and I exchanged glances – we’d hit the jackpot!!!
We waited and watched as two trainers brought down the most beautiful, large, wolf.
I am no animal expert so I don’t know what type of wolf it was but it was big, it was grey, with bits of white in it… it was stunning to see.
Lainey mentioned in her latest entry that Chaske Spencer was spotted in Vancouver. Graham Greene was also spotted out and about in town.
Twilight News
Larry Carroll from MTV shares his thoughts on ‘Eclipse’ Gets A Bloodthirsty New Director – And More Questions Than Answers:
What I am beginning to enjoy, however, is Summit’s decision to hire a different director for each film. Which is surprising, because I was definitely hoping that Catherine Hardwicke would oversee the entire series after the first “Twilight” became such a big hit. But if you’re a movie buff (and not just a Twilighter first and foremost), this is developing into a very interesting cinematic experiment.
And whereas Weitz seems likely to try and play things closer to Hardwicke’s blueprint, Slade is the kind of proudly defiant filmmaker who will want to shake things up a bit. For better or worse, the end result is going to be a trilogy of films filtered through three very different lenses.
Henry Cavill speaks to MTV – ‘Twilight’ Author Fave Henry Cavill Addresses Edward Cullen Rumours:
How close did 25-year-old British actor Henry Cavill come to playing Edward Cullen?
“Twilight” fans have long lingered over author Stephenie Meyer’s assertion that the actor would have been her “perfect Edward,” pre-Robert Pattinson of course. Nowadays, RPattz has become the hottest young star in Hollywood, and Cavill is instead starring in the Woody Allen comedy “Whatever Works,” opening July 1. And when we caught up with him recently, the actor revealed that his star-making “casting” never made it far beyond Meyer’s lips.
You have seen Carlisle cooked in the Cullen’s kicthen in Twilight right? Well, who knew that Peter Facinelli can really cook!
His wifey, Jennie Garth, tells me she was shocked to learn that Facinelli cooked a pasta dinner for the cast of the Twilight sequel when they reunited last month to start shooting with new director Chris Weitz.
“I am pissed off, because he doesn’t make me pasta dinners,” Garth said the other day at the Feeding America and Healthy Choice event in Beverly Hills. “I don’t know when was the last time the man cooked for me!”
Robert and his love for piano. Check out the article by celeb9. He also admits that he’s “kind of a paranoid wreck”. Reuters with the details here.

Twilight News – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Summit Entertainment has officially confirmed that David Slade will be directing Eclipse. Eclipse will be released on June 20th 2010 in North America.
Los Angeles, CA April 22, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that David Slade has been hired to direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on the Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The announcement was made by Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production.
Meyer stated, “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing ECLIPSE. He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I’m so happy that ECLIPSE will be carrying on with that tradition.”
Feig said, “Stephenie Meyer’s ECLIPSE is a muscular, rich, vivid book and we at Summit looked long and hard for a director who could do it justice. We believe we have found that talent in David Slade, a director who has been able to create complex, visually arresting worlds. We cannot wait to see the ECLIPSE he brings to life and brings to the fans eagerly awaiting its arrival in summer of 2010.”
Filmmaker Slade came to prominence as a director for his work on 2006’s engrossing film HARD CANDY starring Academy Award® Nominated actress Ellen Page as well as directing 2007’s genre hit 30 DAYS OF NIGHT which opened to number one at the box office its first weekend of release.
In ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.
To know more about David Slade and his film projects, you can read his IMDB profile/Wikipedia.
Twilight News
It is about time that Stephenie Meyer speaks out. Read her website to read her response on the recent alleged lawsuit:
I am not being sued. No one has contacted me or my publisher to inform either of us that I’m being sued. I never had a roommate named Heidi. There is no professor in the BYU English department named Dr. Peter Benton (though there is a character on ER by that name). And most of all, I began writing Twilight exactly the way I’ve told people in countless interviews and events for the past six years: I had a cool dream, I wrote it down, writing it down was really fun, so I kept writing until I had a whole book.
Read a new interview of Kellan Lutz by Dolly. Most of the questions asked are pretty common actually.
TELL US ANY BEHIND THE SCENES STORIES THAT STAND OUT IN YOUR MIND.
Um, behind the scenes stories… the most fun one that comes to mind is when we had like really good weather, which is not good for us because we’re vampires and we need to have the bad stormy clouds, you know – cloud coverage and we had no clouds for a couple of hours but we needed to do this outside shot, so Catherine had all the extras do a cloud dance! She fed them M&Ms to get them in the mood and gave them Redbulls and it was just really cool to have a director who, who’s very hands on and would get in there and get dirty.
Here’s another fan encounter with Rob!

Listen up y’all – Breaking Dawn has not received the green light yet. Entertainment Weekly with the full details:
But not so fast, says Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who is still working on her script for Eclipse, the third in the teen vamp franchise (the second, New Moon, is currently shooting in Vancouver). “The most I’ve heard from Summit is ‘re-read it and start thinking about it,’” says Rosenberg, who is completing her show-running duties on the fourth season of the Showtime series Dexter.

Here’s your first look at the WOLF PACK!!!!!!!! USA Today has an article on just that:
Animal instincts: Paul (Alex Meraz), Sam (Chaske Spencer), Jared (Bronson Pelletier) and Embry (Kiowa Gordon), a gang of werewolves in New Moon, due Nov. 20.
Step aside, aloof vampires with all your undead issues. The wolf pack is ready to howl.Unlike cold-blooded neck biters, these poster guys for animal magnetism are hot. So hot that their temperature runs a steady 108 degrees, as anyone who has read Stephenie Meyer’s series of gothic romances knows.
Also, ET has their own article and the new picture of the Wolfpack attached.

Our dear Twilight Lexicon has another entry on Stephenie Meyer being sued – Stephenie Meyer Lawsuit is Bogus. Official comments from Summit Entertainment and Little Brown/Hachette can be found in the entry.
The Courier Mail did an interview with Stephenie Meyer about the process of book-to-screen for her Twilight.
Seeing her characters brought to life on the big screen for the first time – Robert Pattinson playing Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan – was a surreal experience for Meyer.
“But really, that happened too when I had a chance to visit the film set,” she says.
“That was when that really hit me. I was sitting there at dinner the first night. Everyone came in costume, because they’d just done a photo shoot. I was like, ‘Wait a minute, these are imaginary people and here they are’ – very weird.”
Nikki Reed was spotted at LAX from Vancouver. Pictures here at Celebrity-Gossip.
Robert Pattinson was out and about on Sunday. Pictures here at Lainey. Meanwhile, Rob’s Harry Potter C0-Star, Emma Watson, is happy for Rob’s success. Full details at MTV.

MaliciousMandy found an unconfirmed filming location:
MeMy and I decided to go check out the pool set that my girl Meg texted me about this morning. It was clear they were filming and being on a fairly main road I am sure people will know the secret location soon. I am guessing it’s a one-day shoot, although I can’t be certain.
There were tons of trailors, security, crew, cars, and of course the pool fence was blacked out and had Green Screens all around (to make it appear like Bella has just cliff jumped into the ocean? and then sees Edward’s face? hmmmm…. what else COULD it be? exactly!! tee hee)
Twilight-Gossip has a couple more pictures of Bella’s House with a Peek-A-Boo view of the interior of the house. See it here!
A student from David Thompson Secondary School recently wrote a letter to the editor of Vancouver Sun in response to this article. Here’s an excerpt:
It seemed pretty cool at first, but when you mix in the hottest celebrities with a horrible film crew, the school turns into chaos. Closing the cafeteria for two days, taking over the foyer and forcing students to make detours and stop dead in our tracks during our break and lunch because they were filming a big-shot movie was not cool.
I know how she feels but given that the production company has paid the school a great sum of money for allowing the crew to film it at their school premises and that filming only took 2 days, why can’t she just be proud and glad that her school was chosen to be used as a filming location? Cos that’s how film production rolls. As long as the filming does not disrupt their lessons – I think it should be fine. Afterall, it’s just for 2 days! :D
A fan shares a Bravo magazine cover which features Edward and . Take a look at it here! Thanks to unesrin!
