[UPDATED] Twilight Coverage in Tokyo : Day 5 – Red Carpet
Okay, here’s the deal with Twilight’s Japan Red Carpet Premiere Event on the 27th of February. It’s a 3 part event that takes place concurrently – the Press Conference, the Red Carpet walk and the Fan Meeting. Its all done back to back so Aishah and I had to set up for each event to get the video footage as well as still photos. It was ultimately well organized and timely but the rain didn’t help much. But we managed to work with it though.
As for Robert, Kristen and Taylor – they were whisked off somewhere in the building each time and had to make a grand entrance at every event. I guess it just how things were done, and actually it made a great effect cos the audience were always different.
Note that Kristen had to change for each event and the guys didn’t have to, coz they were wearing suits which were appropriate for each event. As for Kristen, she had to change into the greek goddess white dress cos its more ‘red carpet’ (I think. 
) And lastly, at the Fan Meeting, she changed into the white t-shirt (tied at the side )and jeans ensemble that looked more casual for meeting the fans. But then again, the guys looked over-dressed for that event! Haha… But I don’t mind they look spanking in those suits!
It was raining lightly and we found all the fans who were in a line before were asked to assemble onto the plaza, and they were divided into 2 groups on both sides of the red carpet.
The Red Carpet (a wet one today!)
The fans seemed to be in the rain for some time judging by the complaints we heard and the expressions on their faces. But for the love of Twilight, come rain or shine..WE WILL BE THERE!
The fans were asked to keep their umbrellas as the main cast were about to arrive.
The first of 3 Volvo XC90s drives up to the red carpet. (Black for the boys and Red for Kristen)
Taylor steps out onto the red carpet.
He heads straight to the fans with that drop dead gorgeous smile!
Kristen then arrives and starts signing autographs for the fans. We see her for the first time in that lovely Beautiful greek goddess white flowing dress.
Time to play where’s Kristen and where’s Taylor?…
Roberto arrives as well!
They’ve reached the finish line… Phew! 
WOW! Oh my just look at the three of them…
Hmmmm… wonder what is Robert telling them?
Looks like Kristen’s giving her opinion on what Robert said..whatever it was…
A photographer at the press camp called out for Kristen to wave and be happy (I heard him!) - she smiled and waved back!
Apparently, a rush of wind blew by and Kristen got major shivers! Poor girl! Great that they just laughed it off! Believe me it was COLD & WET!! They were a class act too cos despite this they stayed quite a while on the red carpet to sign autographs for the fans!! Thank you guys!
They’ve been asked to go up to the Chateau Balcony. At this point, the cameras were instructed to move and we were all told to turn around. The cast makes their way up…
HAHA Now its Taylor’s turn… looks like he’s saying, “IT’S COOOLD!!!”
The cast thanking the fans for braving the cold to come and see them. The fans were screaming when they spoke…
Robert: Thank you guys for coming, you all were great!
Kristen: Hi! Thank you for coming! Thank you so much!
We love seeing Kristen looking so elegant here…
Taylor: Yes, hello! I want to thank you guys for coming and seeing us even in this nasty weather. But we’re having a lot of fun and thank you again guys!
The cast waves at their fans for the last time at the Red Carpet..
The cast when back into another building to get ready for the Fan Meeting event.
There is still the last part of our Day 5, that is the Fan Meeting. We still need to organise the photos and videos that will be featured in the Fan Meeting post.

Press Conference – “Kristen wore a very edgy Paule Ka black leather mini dress, with illusion straps, and a white origami detailed hem”
Red Carpet – She “wore a one shoulder white silk jersey gown by Parisian couturier Herve Leroux“….”swept lines, and the chiffon skirt. This really is an elegant gown”. Yaa…ha!!

@Abby my camera is pretty old, it’s a Panasonic FZ10. Some shots were bad cos I forgot to wipe the rain off the lens. Sorry about that! We had one shot with condensation on the lens where Kristin was perfect but with the lights bouncing off everywhere the boys looked like they were angels as their faces ‘shone’. Will include those in the outtakes!

YOU LADIES ROCK!!!! This was the best coverage I’ve ever seen of any of the events. I really enjoyed reading all of your daily posts too! You had a lot of great photos, endured cold weather, and long lines.That is dedication! Thank you so much for your awesome reporting!!! It’s great to see such a detailed ‘play by play’ of the Twilight Tour in Japan. Kristen’s black leather dress was hot. The men looked quite handsome as well (I’m more partial to Robert though
