Twilight News
Hi I love all of you, did you enjoy the Movie Outing yesterday? HAH. I did!

Anyway, we have an even bigger poll now! It’s the Year-End Movies Poll by Moviefone, and I’m not actually pimping this, so I’m a huge movie buff, so I won’t be biased and say to definitely vote for ‘Twilight’ and its stars for every category they appear in, but do vote fairly and wisely! ‘Twilight’ appears in the following questions:
1. Which movie was most worth your cash?
4. Who was the best villain?
5. What was the best chick flick?
9. Who was the hottest hunk of the year? (!!!!!!!!)
14. Who was the breakout star of the year? (Both Kristen and Rob!)
15. Who was the best on-screen couple?
IGN: Your mutual chemistry is crucial to the film – how did you sustain it?
Pattinson: I used to sometimes just run into Kristen’s bedroom naked, just to keep shocking her… No, I don’t know, it’s funny because all the romantic scenes were kind of – are you better at [answering] this than I am?
Stewart: No, I’m so terrible at it…
ROFL, READ THE REST OF THAT INTERVIEW HERE! I laughed for 5 minutes straight at Rob’s answer.
Anyway, Rob says, ‘People Want me to Kill Them‘. Apparently Rob also knows how Tom Cruise feels. I know they seem to have nothing in common but… think again!
Kristen has a new interview with BBC Radio. There are some movie spoilers in it, so beware.
How do you deal with that? Do you take the mickey out of Robert all the time for the reaction he gets?
Oh my god. All the time. Constantly. It’s like, ‘Rob. Touch your hair again’.
Both Rob and Kristen have interviews with Digital Spy.
Rob’s: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid5189484001?bclid=5172016001&bctid=5172891001
Kristen’s: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid5189484001?bclid=5172016001&bctid=5192714001
(It actually continues to Kristen’s interview once Rob’s video finishes, so don’t worry.)
There’s a new previously unseen behind the scenes picture from the January 2009 issue of ‘Total Film’. It’s at the bottom left of the page. Credits to Everglow for the scans!
Stephenie Meyer has been named by USA Today as Author of the Year! Aren’t we proud of her?
For those of you who, like me, wished you knew the correct notes to Bella’s Lullaby and more, both Amazon and Interstate Music are selling ‘Twilight – The Score: Music from the Motion Picture (Paperback)’, where all the scores are in it, but it’s only for the piano. I hope local bookstores start importing them!
Ashley Greene is excited for Chris Weitz, who will be taking over ‘New Moon’ from Catherine Hardwicke. MTV’s full report over here. There’s a video included.
“I want to drive the yellow Porsche, really bad — in Europe,” she giggled, citing the “New Moon” moment she’s most eager to film. “That’s what I’m most excited about now. I keep saying I hope they let me drive it, because on the first ‘Twilight’ we wanted to do our own stunts, and they let us do everything we realistically could. So, I’m hoping if I learn how to drive stick-shift, they’ll let me drive the Porsche.”
That was so Alice of her to say that.
Empire Online has a quiz on Twilight, but you must log in or register to be able to do it!
Stephenie Meyer on Sunday Times

Stephenie Meyer had a vivid and strangely coherent dream in 2003. And that dream became the inspiration for her 2006 debut novel Twilight or, as the author revealed, Chapter 13 of the book.
Her vampire-themed book series, which is targeted at teenage girls, has also spawned New Moon (2006), Eclipse (2007) and Breaking Dawn (2008), with more than 25 million copies in global sales.
So why was she, a Mormon mother of three young sons and wife of an accountant, having an unholy dream about a vampire falling in love with a human girl?
“I’ve been trying to figure that out for the past 5 ½ years,” she said with a laugh during a round-table interview last month at the Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles.
She was in the city promoting director Catherine Hardwicke’s film adaptation of Twilight. The movie is now showing in cinemas.
“Maybe it was a commercial or someone talking about it, because vampires were so not a part of my life before that,” added Meyer, who wore a dark brown dress over her plump physique, complete with a long necklace with a black pearl.
When a journalist commented that she is very fair for someone living in Arizona, she replied: “Why do you think I wrote books about albinos?”
The 34-year old author was referring to her pale vampire characters who are beautiful, well-dressed and forever young. Their skin sparkles in the sun, which is why they live in the rainy town of Forks in Washington State.
“I don’t like to be scared,” she confessed. “So I wrote about vampires who are beautiful and have eternal youth, rather than monsters that are drooling and rotting.”
In the film, the lead vampire character Edward is played by Robert Pattinson, while the mortal Bella is played by Kristen Stewart – casting choices that Meyer is pleased with.
“I’m very protective of my characters,” she said. “But I’ve learnt to let go because there’s no way you can take a book this long and make a movie without any changes.
“Besides, you’re not going to find real vampires to play the parts.”
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Meyer grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, in a large family with five siblings. An English degree holder of Bringham Young University, she counts Jane Austen, William Shakespeare and L.M. Montgomery among her influences.
Aside from the Twilight series, she has penned an adult sci-fi novel, The Host (2008). She has also written Midnight Sun, which retells the events of Twilight from Edward’s perspective (instead of Bella’s), but an online reak of a rough draft led to her decision to delay the project indefinitely.
She still finds it funny that many people thought of Bella as an anti-feminist character who is often in need of saving.
“It’s never about her being a girl but how she was a mortal surrounded by superheroes,” she explained.
“I don’t see her as passive, but someone with enormous will power who keeps up and survives.”
As a writer, Meyer considers herself fortunate because it was “incredibly easy” for her to get published – from transforming her dream into a novel within three months to getting an agent and signing an initial three-book deal.
“My expectation was that, maybe, if I’m really lucky, one of my books would get to a shelf in a bookstore somewhere,” she said.
“That would have been enough for me.”

Aww he looks soo amazingly cute!! Oh that smile!! Looking like Cedric Diggory with a buzz cut. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! It could be for the new movie he’ll supposedly start filming next month, Parts per Billion. But apart from that not much news about this film though. Hmmm.. I dunno how he is fitting all this in his schedule. But I guess its enough time for him to grow it back to Edward’s length again by spring. Yay!

Twilight News

CONGRATULATIONS TWILIGHTERS! MTV News has voted us Twilighters as ‘Women Of The Year’!
When Hollywood dismissed “Twilight” as a “one-quadrant” niche film, you responded by giving it a bigger opening than “WALL-E,” “Chronicles of Narnia” or “Star Wars: Episode 1.” When Harry Potter fans looked down their noses, you fired back by standing in midnight lines for hours to help “Breaking Dawn” rock the publishing industry. You took over Comic-Con, Westwood and the rest of the world.
You can read more about it here. Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene congratulates the fans for winning ‘Women of the Year’!
MTV News has an interview with Taylor and he talks about his campaign to stay on New Moon.
Extra has a video interview with Taylor regarding his casting role in New Moon and Ashley’s support towards Team Edward or Team Jacob.
PopStar has an interview with Michael Copon – the rumoured Jacob Black

Go over to MTV to vote on the current casting crisis over who should play Jacob Black. Currently “Keep Taylor Lautner” is the winning option. Similarly, People has a poll on the same issue. Stephenie Meyer’s website was recently updated with this important announcement:
It has come to our attention that there are several people on social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook pretending to be Stephenie. The only site besides StephenieMeyer.com that Stephenie has is a MySpace site at www.myspace.com/stephenie_meyer. Only announcements on this website and Stephenie’s official MySpace page should be considered legitimate. Please note, due to the overwhelming number of e-mails she receives on her MySpace page, Stephenie is unable to answer e-mails.
Also, Stephenie is aware of the numerous Twilight conventions happening next year. It is exciting to see so many fans wanting to celebrate the books together. However, these conventions are not authorized or endorsed by Stephenie and she will not be attending any of the conventions. We hope that fans enjoy the conferences, but wanted to make this distinction so people weren’t spending money under the assumption that Stephenie would be in attendance.
Do take note, all right!
Speaking of Stephenie, she has been named on Time’s People of the Year 2008 list, under “People Who Mattered”. See the short article about her here.
“Twilight” sequel already feels the bite of fans. The full article simply mentions about casting problems and of Chris Weitz taking over to be the new director.
An interview with Rob:
Rob also has an interview with FILMdetail. It’s an audio, so listen to it here.
Peter Facinelli’s 11-year-old daughter, Luca Bella, feels weird that people think her father is hot, now that he’s involved in Twilight.
MySpace has a competition, where you have to tell them how many times you’ve seen Twilight, do a bit more stuff and you stand a chance to win a special greeting from Rob on New Year’s Eve. Go here for more details.
Just wanted to post this, because I’d found it while Googling that A-word (this is a spoiler, so I won’t state what the word is, but it’s the one about vampires!), that I’d found the screenplay for Twilight. You need to have Flash installed to be able to read it.
Twilight has currently grossed a total of $203,428,631 according to Box Office Mojo. Good news! Let’s up those digits more, shan’t we?

Heading on with Twilight news, the last part from Kristen’s audio interview during her European tour:
You can find the rest of the interview here.
Another video, once again, of Kristen.
Empire has video interviews.
Kristen Stewart’s: http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid494808768/bctid4929724001
The book she mentioned was “East of Eden” by John Steinback.
Robert Pattinson’s: http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid494808768/bctid4919090001
He mentioned Van Morrison, and I think the song he chose, “Beside You” is by Van Morrison. The book he said was “Ulysses” by James Joyce. For the record, Luke Perry did not play a vampire in Buffy but I guess it’s just Rob. ![]()
Catherine Hardwicke’s: http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid494808768/bctid4932998001
So, uh, you know how Rob doesn’t wash his hair right. Apparently this company called Axe Hair is offering him “a lifetime supply of products”. (Think three bottles, probably.) Publicity stunt? I’m betting so, because until now, I have never heard of that brand before. Plus, we all live for Rob’s sexy and dirty hair, so they can Axe the deal! Heehee.
Okay, next, I’m dying with laughter at the following article, but read it anyway: Rob is rumoured to play Jack Sparrow’s brother. Oh yes you read that right, but if you’re a Johnny Depp + Rob fan, you might want to cross your fingers for that since it’s only a rumour.
Rob has made it to MTV news’ Men of the Year at #4! Yay! With regards to New Moon, Rob and Kristen talk about the expectations.

Twilight Movie Trivia: Blow dryers, curling irons and dry towels had to be ready all the time. The actors had to be shield from the rain, by means of having umbrellas over them bacause when their hair gets wet, it would take half an hour to get them ready to come back to shoot again. If they were to lose time, they would get behind in schedule, and it would eventually cost money.
