He said its gonna be scary?! I feel soo bad for him now… but he has a good head on his shoulders without a doubt! (Thank goodness!) And I am glad with what he has done so far with ‘Little Ashes’ and ‘How To Be’ – these ‘little movies that he had done to teach himself how to act had immensely satisfied him – so good on you Rob!

Earlier in December Robert Pattison [sic] attended a show at The Improv. A tacky and heartless comic was trying to make a tasteless joke out of the death of Heath Ledger. Offended and hurt, Sparklepants stood up for Ledger.

Slow news day. Again. Not as slow as yesterday, but still.
MTV has named out the best movie set visits of 2008, and of course they included ‘Twilight‘s! Who can forget Jackson’s priceless line of, “I don’t know, they’ve got brooms!” To see the rest of the list, just let the clip play on.
‘Twilight’ was also listed under CTV.ca’s article on ‘Who were 2008′s most influential tastemakers?‘ There’s a nice big photo of Rob there, too.
Rotten Tomatoes reports on ‘Twilight’ beating out ‘Quantum of Solace’ for the total gross.
Just a month ago, nobody would have guessed that the modestly-budgeted $37M teen saga would go on to outgun the latest James Bond film and its $200M+ budget.

Ah, lately the news have been moving in too slowly. Sigh. 
So Rob is the man of the moment, for his haircut caused a sensation. Anyway, ABS-CBN has currently denied any remake of Twilight, but I won’t trust any form of denial by them until it’s been officially marked off as merely a rumour. Also, we have awkward ‘Twilight’ bits.
Like I said, slow news day. Boo.
Twilight Online Book Discussion: First Sight
Beginning today, Bessy (that’s me!) will post a book discussion entry for every chapter in Twilight every Sunday. In each entry, I will include an excerpt from the chapter as well as a question. You can choose to reply to the question or just speak your mind about any part of the chapter. It’s a free-for-all kind of thing.
As this is a book discussion, do remember to check back every once in a while to see if anyone has replied to your comment! The rules are very simple: No quarrelling, no bashing, no hate. Everyone just enjoy yourselves and be open.
Today, I’ll be embarking on Chapter 1: First Sight.
I couldn’t stop myself from peeking occasionally through the screen of my hair at the strange boy next to me. During the whole class, he never relaxed his stiff position on the edge of his chair, sitting as far from me possible. I could see his hand on his left skin. This, too, he never relaxed. He had the long sleeves of his white shirt pushed up to his elbows, and his forearm was surprisingly hard and muscular beneath his light skin. He wasn’t nearly as slight as he’d looked next to his burly brother.
The class seemed to drag on longer than the others. Was it because the day was finally coming to a close, or because I was waiting for his tight fist to loosen? It never did; he continued to sit so still it looked like he wasn’t breathing. What was wrong with him? Was this his normal behaviour? I questioned my judgment on Jessica’s bitterness at lunch today. Maybe she was not as resentful as I’d thought.
It couldn’t have anything to do with me. He didn’t know me from Eve.
I peeked up at him one more time, and regretted it. He was glaring down at me again, his black eyes full of revulsion. As I flinched away from him, shrinking against my chair, the phrase if looks could kill suddenly rang through my mind.
At that moment, the bell rang loudly, making me jump, and Edward Cullen was out of his seat. Fluidly he rose – he was much taller than I’d thought – his back to me, and he was out the door before anyone else was out of their seat.
Q1: When Bella described that Edward was “was out the door before anyone else was out of their seat”, did you presume that he simply walked very quickly or he’d thrown in a bit of his powers and almost ran out of the room at superhuman speed?
YAY, NASH SAYS I CAN ADD IN MORE QUESTIONS, LOL. I shall try for a few fun ones, all right?
Q2: The story goes that the Cullens moved down to Forks from Alaska two years ago. Using your imagination, how do you think Jessica knew about that? Since, very obviously, the Cullens do not talk to the humans.
Q3: Do you think it would have been easier for Edward to kill Ms Cope and then Bella in the office, or the entire Biology class? You can interpret “easier” in whatever manner you wish, like with regards to his ability or how much less of a hassle it would have been to murder only Ms Cope. Any way you want to.
I swear I’m not being sadistic!

Twilight Movie Stubs and Q&A Contest
Remember all those incessant reminders to ask you to keep your ticket stubs? Well, the stubs you have now are precious! We are organizing a Twilight Movie Stubs and Q&A Contest (I know, such a long name) and at the end of the day, someone will be walking home with an exclusive prize! Currently it is being kept as a surprise, but I can assure you that it is wonderful.
All you have to do to secure a chance of winning the exclusive prize is to follow the instructions below.
Instructions:
- Scan in your own ticket stubs. They must be only your own stubs and no one else’s. Do not resize the scan too.

- With regards to the exact lines said, the atmosphere, the details and everything else, which scene in the movie do you think stayed most faithfully to the book? Also, being a fan, do you think that just because said scene has been true to the novel, you like it more than the rest of the movie? Why or why not?

- ‘Twilight’ is #9 on Yahoo! Movies’ list of Top 10 Box Office Movies of 2008. According to their report, the movie has raked in a domestic gross total of $158,461,000 although according to BoxOfficeMojo, the numbers don’t tally.
- Unfortunately, ‘Twilight’ is also on Yahoo Movies! list for the The Most Ridiculous Movie Moments of 2008, citing the baseball scene.

(Okay please forgive me if my translation is bad but I’ll try to give you the gist of it ) The article goes on about Rob & Kristen’s whirlwind movie promotion tour from LA to Rome, London and Paris. Having not enough sleep and travelling and promoting the long awaited movie based on a best seller romance. And under their spell are thousands of fans trying to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood newcomers. The movie only opens in Germany 15th January. The film has opened in the USA on 21st November and has since made 115 Million Euros! Insane!! Robert and Kristen became overnight sensations. The forbidden love between the schoolgirl and the vampire has become the maintopic of all fans worldwide. And the most beautiful vampire in the shape of the sweet Robert is widely accepted. Robert then meets the girls from the BRAVO editorial team and says, “Hi, I’m Rob. How are you guys?” (there’s something about his trademark wild hair and how every young girl wants to run their fingers through it) So Robert & Kristen actually goes for a tour of the office. And they find out that Robert is actually very familiar with the German music scene(!!OMG!!). He comes across a poster of Tokio Hotel and said “Hey I’ve seen them before. What are they called again?” then a short while later he mentions another star,”I’ve also seen that blonde singer often. What’s her name again?..Sarah Connor! At home in London I get to watch german music channels. That’s where I’ve seen her before” grins the actor. “It was so nice being with you guys but we have to go back to the hotel now. We have to go to Paris early tomorrow.” How exciting is the life of a star vampire..

Things are getting both hilarious and outrageous. There were Hot Topic band-aids, Twilight ice cream and Edward body shimmer. Now there’s perfume that “smells of lavender and freesia, just like Bella.” Is it a joke? Is it one product too much on the paraphernalia that’s already around? I have no idea. You can see more of it here, but I have to warn you: The bottle looks exactly like the Nina by Nina Ricci perfume bottle.
Moving on to slightly more serious stuff, The Buzz Log has said that Rob’s new haircut has “caused an absolute Internet uproar.” HAHA. Doesn’t it attract more hits to your site when you exaggerate? Sure it does.

ABS-CBN bags rights for local ‘Twilight’ remake – no you didn’t read wrongly. ‘Twilight’ is going to be made into a local television series in Philippines! And I’m pretty sure that it’s official, now. PerezHilton.com has an article about it too, but do take note that the poster on his site is very obviously edited.

Yes… the sad news is that we did not open 1st on Twilight’s opening weekend I shall not mention the one that got it!
But note that Twilight’s been in the cinemas on sneaks since the 12th Dec and it opened on 18th Dec. So its been out for 10 days (up until Sunday 21st) already so that sorta broken up the earnings cos people came out watching it early during the sneaks rather than the opening weekend. I know! We could not wait lah!!! I seriously ask…who could??

And that’s in US$917,756 = S$1,339,923.76 for the first ten days!! (I think to date its more than that!!)

Twilight was originally supposed to be shown on 25 December 2008 before it was pushed forward to 18 December. So let us honour 25 December 2008 by watching Twilight! Invite your friends and families to watch it together with you! We certainly would love to celebrate this day with all the Twilight fans in Singapore!
And do not forget to watch the “Making Of Twilight” on Channel 5 today at 7.30pm!

His voice is kind of softer in this interview, actually. Yes, you did not hear wrongly, in the first video the interviewer said that Rob isn’t as “good looking in real life”. LOL. And I am unsure why he didn’t mention “Parts Ber Billion” for his next project too. Does anyone find it funny that Rob is afraid of heights and Kristen isn’t? Kind of like the reverse for their roles.

4. “Twilight”: I find myself kind of surprised that “Twilight” is in my top 10. And what’s it doing at #4? Well, I remember a movie back in 1989 that got fans really excited… That was Tim Burton’s “Batman.”… This movie is that for the younger, female generation. What’s better is that it isn’t necessarily some sappy love story. There’s action and vampires and, yeah, a love interest, but there are also subplots and interwoven texture, which are rare to the vampire genre… I look forward to the sequel.

Just Jared has new photos of Rob in his new crop upon arrival at the Heathrow airport in London. Now that there’s clearer photos, I think his new haircut is pretty cute!

Its great that they are great pals and helping each other a lot. Only good friends help you to do this stuff! Its hard work -they must’ve hauled a dozen boxes into that convertible! Goes to show Rob & Nikki are regular people too – who go out and get boxes when they move or whatever those boxes are for. But then again in Singapore I always get my boxes delivered to my door step. Haha.. But wait, is Rob moving somewhere? Is Nikki moving? Are they moving together? What are those boxes for my darlings?? Hmmm…we ponder…
